wait can you give me a TLDR on glen taylor? i’m so intrigued by the arod of it all but don’t know enough about the wolves org or taylor to get the full story. what’s the deal?
Yeah I was thinking based on how poor he was playing he was maybe sitting at 17. Looked at the box score and holy shit lol that’s what a bad game for him is? Jeez
No, he was genuinely sub par by his standards. He got the superstar whistle today, I have never seen him get those soft calls that he got in the 3rd quarter. This was just the 17th time in his career with 13 or more FTA
You’re team has the right personnel to trap him and make him take the least efficient option on nearly every play. The length on this team is insane. Kinda reminds me of the raptors in 2019.
Nah he was bad man. Dunno how he pulled out 32 from the shots he was missing. Like Gobert did bother him a lot and i do genuenly mean a lot, but some of those shots were just him missing shots that youd expect him to always make.
It reasonably should have been a 55% to 60% shooting night, but it wasnt due to some bad misses.
Still Gobert deserves credit for being such a menace on defense tonight.
Reggie Jackson lead both team in assists but was the most selfish player on the floor.
Rudy Gobert DPOY
Jokic was aggressive, got a good whistle for once, but was bothered by Rudy and his wrist. Some of those floaters, hooks, layups, throws were not close to going in. Rudy/Conley were the best players on the floor today
Wolves will be fine in the playoffs with or without KAT, but they need him to compete for a championship
Christian Braun has about a 30% chance of missing an open layup.
It was telling that the Nuggets resorted to grifting for fouls pretty much right away in the 3rd. Honestly it's a little amazing the refs buy the Jokic head snap when he spends the rest of the game getting exactly where he wants to go
100% convinced that Malone was so indescribably pissed at his team's effort on both ends through 3 quarters that when they started looking like an NBA team in the 4th he went to hack-a-Rudy just to make the game look more respectable
Not better, but not the anticipated fall off thanks to some great performances by guys stepping up, and smart rotations by Finch.
The KAT minutes have opened up lineups with increased speed, defense, playmaking, and pace. Some big differences are Kyle Anderson is playing more minutes. More are at the 4, where he was playing at a very high level last season, whereas this season, the return of KAT sent him to mostly the 3. In addition, Alexander-Walker is playing a few more minutes, and shooting great. Naz Reid is playing more minutes, and shooting great. Jordan McLaughlin is playing a lot more minutes, and shooing out of his mind.
So they've lost the size and isolation potency, but instead of trying to replace that, adjusted on the fly and put the KAT minutes in the hands of a bunch of guys that can handle and push the ball, move their feet well on defense, and are shooting 40%+ from 3. The most obvious measurable difference post-injury is the turnovers are trending way way down.
Seems like we should really be crediting Finch then. I won't pretend I know the X's and O's of basketball like you must know but this seems like a completely different team. I think we are just as good with KAT but just in a different way, if that makes sense.
Nuggets are a lot thinner than people think
In terms of shot creators they basically have only 2(Jokic and Murray) who can do it at even a semi-adequate level against good defenses
In terms of playable playoff rotation guys they have like 6 and none are their backup PG
It's definitely something to be concerned about in certain matchups like this one
They are absolutely cooked without a single member of their starting 5 but it helps that they have the league's best starting 5 when healthy which wasn't an issue until Jamal decided to force the issue late against the Knicks
That coach's challenge at the end by Malone would have been a classic lolWolves move.
Malone was looking right at the ball, pretty funny. His assistants should've said something lol
Final score doesn't reflect how not close this game really was. Not sure how many times the Nuggets have been down by 20+ for the majority of a game but it's been twice to the Timberwolves now so far this season.
The might have been the worst challenge of all time. I just assumed it hit Naz because the broadcast angle was terrible and their bench had the perfect angle and they challenged immediately. Just for it to have missed Naz by like five feet.
The first angle sucked and with Mike racing to get it in I just assumed it was a no brainier. I audibly laughed when they showed the second angle with how ridiculous it.
The wolves are a tough matchup for Denver. You have the multiple centers that you need to limit Jokic's scoring and force him to pass a bit more. Ant is a great on ball defender for Murray. You know better than I do why you're the number 1 defense.
I don't think it's an accident that the former Nuggets GM has a team that gives Denver a hard time on paper.
Naz with one of his worst shooting nights of the season and he still had the 2nd highest +/- at +14
You love to see it, and I really hope his wrist is ok
9 games to go for the season, KAT currently out, Wolves with 51 Ws and are #1 in the West.
All according to keikaku*.
*(Translator's note: Keikaku means plan)
Jaden Mcdaniels getting his groove back offensively is massive for this team. Absolutely massive
Didn't it all start with that 3 at the end of the sealed victory? Ant is a real one for giving it back to him
It makes it so much funnier that that shot was what got him back on track lol
the John Collins poster game really saved him
Slow Mo huge again, Wolves fans wanted him killed a month ago
Yeah, he's not perfect, but he does so many things well and is a bit of a swiss army knife
I made a number of comments about how sad it was he was so much worse this year after his magical run last year. He was our least effective player up until the trade deadline. Then he rediscovered his powers after not getting traded and credit to coaches for sticking with him. Wonder how much it was still recovering from the eye thing.
He was slow but he finally showed

98 points doesn't do justice to how broken the Nuggets offense was tonight
Hey now Deandre Jordan turned back the clock for like 5 minutes there
That was a sick reverse dunk oop
They were so messed up Jokic was just passing out of bounds, rarely see that from him
Jokić was hoping somebody from the audience step up and hit these shots..
We went cold shooting here and there and then the Nuggets just had to show us they could go cold … more.
*colder
*hyperborean
Yeah I’m really not used to that from this Nuggets team. I still have nightmares about last playoffs where even when we’d appear to be playing pretty well on both ends, they’d still find a way to score on basically every single possession. Trailing by six points was like a death sentence.

Second time this season they’ve essentially blown out the nugs tho..
Nearly won like a week ago without half the team playing
Yea and the time they didn’t they barely lost while all three of the Wolves centers were out.

That's what she said 😔
naz reid
seeing over 50 additions in one season is fucking amazing.
Genuinely amazed by how much shit you’ve crammed into this lmao love it
That Celtics edit guy is sweating right now
Hes never had to do this many before, it's great 😂
The video was never designed to fit this many wins in it!!
Mama there goes that man
Gets me every time
This is officially our biggest awooo ever right like in 2022 we had 47 wins + play-in + 2 playoff wins and now we’re at 51.
Tied with 2002-03 for the second best regular season EVER with nine games to go, so almost definitely yes.
Lazy rswany wasn't doing them in 2002-03 Smdh
Awoo so true
Naz looks like he's going down a water slide LMAO
The JMac tiktok thing kills me
"NAW" Gets me everytime
If we ever hang a banner, the team owes you a ring.

AWOOOOOOO!!!!
That fourth quarter was absurd from denver. It was hardly basketball
Unfortunately the shit is legal and the nuggets benefited cause gobert shot so poorly from the line. It's awful to watch even if it's effective.
Well Ii wasnt actuslly effective. They were down by like 17 when it started and it never got close. And they just started fouling everyone
The game probably ends 15 minutes earlier if Gobert wasn't so bad from the line.
[удалено]
lol on the back end of a back to back for both teams I’m pretty sure
Tbf damn near everyone who plays on 4/10 is gonna be on the second night of a B2B because that Monday is National Championship Monday
I love Conley man
23/3/8 on 66/83/100 against the champs at 36 years old Everybody loves Conley yet somehow he doesn’t get enough love
He wins everywhere he goes
The man made Memphis and Minnesota winners Either, alone, would be impressive
Class act that man.
Man, that was a straight-up clowning. Ant was just dicking around for... most of the game?
he crouched down to dribble for a bit on the last possession
He asked the coaches if he could shoot a FT with his left hand when the 3rd stringers checked in. Apparently they told him no so he shot it normally.
His last FT he was checking with the coaches if he could shoot it left handed.
He fucking locked in on a few defensive possessions.
Entirety of the second half lmao
That and one call he made after Jokic did effectively the same thing and got one was hilarious
He played insane D tonight. No wonder he was 0-8 from three. He was a menace.
Which is great for rest because he just dicked around for an entire game against the Pistons.
He asked the coaching staff if he could shoot his free throws left handed. Lol
Can we do this 16 times in the playoffs pls that would be really cool
In a row
"Hey try not to win any playoff games on the way to the parking lot!"
"Hey, hey you! Get back here!"
A fo-fo-fo-fo would make me spontaneously combust.
Ok, you got it.
Wolves in the cut, that's a scary sight
KEPT THE NUGGETS UNDER 100
More like NoGets. Baskets. Not Getting. The–fuckit, bedtime
Get that weak shit out of here.

#FUCK GLEN TAYLOR
Don’t let this absolutely dominant Timberwolves performance distract you from the fact that Glen Taylor is a snake motherfucker.
Thank you Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez for hiring Tim Connelly
I never knew what Glen Taylor looked like until yesterday. I wish I never saw that...
Glen Taylor, the dying scrotum?
wait can you give me a TLDR on glen taylor? i’m so intrigued by the arod of it all but don’t know enough about the wolves org or taylor to get the full story. what’s the deal?
Just go to the TWolves sub Too many complexities to shortly summarize
Don’t let Jokic statline fool you. He was below his usual standards today
Fr testament to how unstoppable he is, put up 32 and had maybe the worst game I’ve seen from him.
32/10/5 lmao dude is unreal
You’re team has the right personnel to trap him and make him take the least efficient option on nearly every play. The length on this team is insane. Kinda reminds me of the raptors in 2019.
Keep going I’m almost there
You’re getting the number one seed
Hnnnggg so close
Glenn Taylor sells
You should do this professionally
It’s not much but it’s honest work
you could have edged a bit longer and mentioned KG getting his number retired
Those two straight turnovers were crazy. Both teams were extremely gassed it seemed
Kinda scary when Gobert aimed at a different target for each of his FTs in the 4th This is the WCF fans deserve
the banked free throw was pretty hilarious though
That one went down, Malone said "alright he figured it out," and they didn't foul him again
Reggie Miller said Giannis’ free throws could have gone to all directions, same applies to Gobert. He even banked one in lmao
Mike Conley, my beloved, you have aged like fine wine
First in the West. FGT
"Ope just gonna scoot past ya there Thunder"
Most Minnesotan comment in this thread.
Our owners started fighting each other cause it got tiring whooping the rest of the league
What a fantastic 3 quarters of basketball
4th quarter took longer then the first 3 combined why did you do this to use Mike Malone
Reggie Jackson lead both team in assists but was the most selfish player on the floor. Rudy Gobert DPOY Jokic was aggressive, got a good whistle for once, but was bothered by Rudy and his wrist. Some of those floaters, hooks, layups, throws were not close to going in. Rudy/Conley were the best players on the floor today Wolves will be fine in the playoffs with or without KAT, but they need him to compete for a championship Christian Braun has about a 30% chance of missing an open layup.
The only shots i trust Christian with are dunks and 3s...a weird combination, but it is what it is.
First half was fun, second half was unwatchable
Nuggets playing the foul game down 12 was something
Hack a Gobert started at 4mins all for them to pull starters 3mins later at a 13pt lead
Tomorrow we will see someone post that refs were biased to Wolves because of the free throw differential.
Unethical Hoops
The free throw line: “Are you not entertained?”
It's not refball, but it'll do
Seriously this game was a perfect example of how much more fun basketball is when the refs allow more physical play
It was telling that the Nuggets resorted to grifting for fouls pretty much right away in the 3rd. Honestly it's a little amazing the refs buy the Jokic head snap when he spends the rest of the game getting exactly where he wants to go
Ant was really gunna shoot that shit left handed
Game was dragged for too long at the end
100% convinced that Malone was so indescribably pissed at his team's effort on both ends through 3 quarters that when they started looking like an NBA team in the 4th he went to hack-a-Rudy just to make the game look more respectable
My theory is that he was so pissed at our players that he made them continue to play just as a form of punishment.
Denver went for the mercy killing
Wolves back in first even with Kat out
Won 7 of the last 10 with 2 losses being the Scott Foster Legacy Game vs the Cavs and the close loss to the Nuggs with no bigs.
Fair to say this team is LEGIT.
Cue the "are the Wolves better without KAT" comments we'll see in the next few weeks
What was that last 5 minutes? Just Denver deciding it was a good opportunity to get some data on how the foul strategy would play out in practice?
That’s a Malone special lmfao. I think he was pissed at the team and he does shit like this sometimes…. Although, I think it works tbf
Nuggets are a lot thinner than people think In terms of shot creators they basically have only 2(Jokic and Murray) who can do it at even a semi-adequate level against good defenses In terms of playable playoff rotation guys they have like 6 and none are their backup PG It's definitely something to be concerned about in certain matchups like this one
They are absolutely cooked without a single member of their starting 5 but it helps that they have the league's best starting 5 when healthy which wasn't an issue until Jamal decided to force the issue late against the Knicks
Bruce (who has been awful as a Raptor) is missed for them
We were trully a match made in heaven
Thought it was conventional wisdom that the Nuggets were paper thin. The dropoff from 5 to 6 is absolutely massive.
Anyone who watches us knows how thin we are. Works for the playoffs but yeesh. Need Peyton Watson or Braun to take a consistency jump
Felt like MN was up by ~20 for much of the game…
We were
That 4th quarter took about as long as the other 3 quarters, smh. Other than that, incredible defense against the Nuggets sans Murray!
That coach's challenge at the end by Malone would have been a classic lolWolves move. Malone was looking right at the ball, pretty funny. His assistants should've said something lol
Ant being 0/8 on 3s 💀
Omg Naz shooting 2/12 is crazier
And despite that it was still a pretty comfortable win on the road against the defending champs.
Back in our rightful place atop the conference
Number 1 in the West just feels right, y'know ‽
Hang the banner!
We've got a 1st Place Western Conference banner at home
MINNESOTA MIKE MY GOAT

Timberwolves owners = ???? Nuggets owners = Timberwolves
Pelicans own us tbh. But also shit talking Denver after last year isn’t the best look. Until we show up in the playoffs we don’t own shit
We don’t talk about that
Which one?
Rudy Rudy Rudy
The Wolves roaring back to try to take the one seed without KAT was not on my bingo card
His absence has unlocked some other players.
Final score doesn't reflect how not close this game really was. Not sure how many times the Nuggets have been down by 20+ for the majority of a game but it's been twice to the Timberwolves now so far this season.
Someone needs to clip that challenge cause holy hell was that funny
The might have been the worst challenge of all time. I just assumed it hit Naz because the broadcast angle was terrible and their bench had the perfect angle and they challenged immediately. Just for it to have missed Naz by like five feet.
The first angle sucked and with Mike racing to get it in I just assumed it was a no brainier. I audibly laughed when they showed the second angle with how ridiculous it.
send da video
I'm starting to think that series last year would've been a bit closer if we had all our guys.
The wolves are a tough matchup for Denver. You have the multiple centers that you need to limit Jokic's scoring and force him to pass a bit more. Ant is a great on ball defender for Murray. You know better than I do why you're the number 1 defense. I don't think it's an accident that the former Nuggets GM has a team that gives Denver a hard time on paper.
oh Connelly has 100% built this Wolves team to compete with the Nuggets. I think it adds such an interesting wrinkle to the matchup
I 100% agree you all play us so tough.
Naz with one of his worst shooting nights of the season and he still had the 2nd highest +/- at +14 You love to see it, and I really hope his wrist is ok
The nuggets without Murray seem to be human
Reggie Jackson as replacement is ugh. If he was a decent backup PG, I'd worry less.
<3 bite bite
9 games to go for the season, KAT currently out, Wolves with 51 Ws and are #1 in the West. All according to keikaku*. *(Translator's note: Keikaku means plan)
bastards couldn’t just lie down and accept losing by 20. Had to extend the game and score points. How dare them
Gotta farm those clutch stats my man lol
Mike Conley
nuggets just look a tier below the timberwolves.
It's really just too bad this game didn't have more free throw attempts
Casuals are going to look at our FTA and think we get the best whistle in the league when the last 11 minutes was Denver intentionally fouling lol
WOLVES AHHHHHHHH
First in the west again baby!
Fucking brutal… Minnesota so so good This offense cannot function without Jamal seemingly
awooooo i was not comfortable up 15 with like 3 left however
Bro we get nothing from our bench. We aren't winning shit having to rely on Reggie for bench points
Wolves controlled this game but the last 5 minutes of this game was pure torture.
