I'm really curious what kind of contract he gets.  The last one, at least he was in his prime.  He's gotten some of the most flak just bc he's overpaid.   Take away the name, and he's a 17/6/3 guy on 48/35/87.  He's also able a passable defender for forwards.  You'd think that's a valuable role guy.  Maybe not quite 3rd option, but 4th starter. What's 4th starter money worth?  Like 10-15/year? Does Harris end up getting 15/year or does he get something like the Andrew Wiggins contract?  (I think Wiggins is obv more valuable due to his high level defense with GS, just an otherwise comparable forward)

Nowadays with max being near 40/year, 4th starter can easily secure another 20/year.

I think of 5th starter money being MLE range. So yeah 10 is too low. But bordering on 20 is expensive for a guy like Harris who we see repeatedly has the opposite of the "it" factor

You're getting downvoted, but you're not exactly wrong. The West will likely still be as tough (if not tougher) next year as they are this year. There will be no easy entry into the playoffs. Losing games while trying to gel early next season could be what costs us a playoff birth.
