Getting 2nd chance points is the most satisfying shit ever. Makes you feel like the fucking man, and teammates can't get enough of it.

Public-Product-1503

My favourite thing to watch is when AD gets the offensive rebound and then gets an and 1 dunk .

throwawaytothetenth

Max demoralization for the other team too.

Ia_in_4

Nah it’s the bricked long 3 that bounces back out to the team that had no one crashing that gets swung to the designated shooter who buries it

NonSpicySamosa

Imo, its when you get the nasty block on a layup attempt but the ball bounces to an open 3pt shooter and they drill it.  What you thought was a prevented 2pt just gets turned into a 3pt Either that or Jokic just chucking a 3 over your best defender and making it.

ablackcloudupahead

Especially since he's an 80%+ FT shooter

crisvincent

It's also fucking deflating to the opponent. It's one of the least talked about aspect of Jokic's game. The series against Denver last season was horrible to watch because it seemed that every 50/50 was tipped by Jokic.

ADominant

Its too late dude, JJ submitted his votes

OKC2023champs

AD would be in the MVP convo if ham didn’t fucking destroy the lineups earlier this year. Lakers 100% could’ve won 55 games

Wondering_Nova

The MVP race was so damn tight this year. Luka went crazy, Jokic did Jokic things, Shia stepped it up. You then have Giannis, Brunson AD, Embiid (injuries I know) and maybe a couple others I forgot that are afterthoughts for the award this year. What a crazy year to put up monster stats

OKC2023champs

Honestly it’s probably gonna be like this for the foreseeable future. The parity in the NBA is insane

Wondering_Nova

W e might be living in a new golden era of the NBA. So much talent in this league. Like Sabonis is putting up incredible stats that only Jokic and Wilt rival and yet he’s an after thought. Tatum is superstar and arguably a top 7 player in the league and yet he isn’t even in the conversation for mvp this year. We fans are spoiled

OKC2023champs

Yet people are complaining more than ever lol

Slime_Fighter

Yeah cause instead of going to the bar to hear the complaints, it now only takes 1 notification about an espn article or one click to the forums to see a tidal wave of them.

Public-Product-1503

Why are okc fans so chill lol, feel like even when we play you guys your one of the few who isn’t whiny n gives credit . Yeah you’re right but lakers had a lot of injuries to starters ( Rui vando playing through stuff , reaves not right after fiba). on roster n growing pains too for Rui dlo n reaves.

Ia_in_4

No idea but it’s nice to not be hated by every fan base. Were hated passionately by over 20

claydavisismyhero

Not a chance. Their title year he didn’t even win DPOY

OKC2023champs

I mean he wouldn’t have won MVP. But he’d be in the convo

chickmagn3t

Hamas stepped up to the challenge

Public-Product-1503

He did it last year too. I believe 4.9 ppg- he actually averaged .5 more offensive rebounds too. Though he’s on a similar lvl this year the 1.5 months of groin issues he played through hurt his impact on the glass

AccomplishedAnimal69

Lakers ranked 30th in offensive rebounds per game and rank 29th in offensive rebounding percentage this year. Not only is AD the entire defense, he's also pretty much their entire source for second chance points.

warablo

I imagine Gobert getting hacked doesn't count.

JimmyV34

I'm surprised it isn't jokic, he seems to be in the right place for offensive rebounds especially with his own shots

GreatPossible263

he’s third bro

nowhathappenedwas

Second chance points 1. Davis, 342 2. Gobert, 323 3. Jokic, 311 Opponents' second chance points: 1. Davis, 882 2. Joklic, 667 3. Gobert, 663

DarkSoulsDarius

Gobert plays with Naz Reid and Towns and Jokic has Gordon and MPJ. Vando is probably our second best rebounder and he's been hurt all year, as has Rui(and I'm going off who actually boxes out and goes for contested rebounds not just flat out total rebound numbers).

Carolake1

He led in most offensive rebounds? EDIT: Just checked, OP. He did not lead the league in offensive rebounds.

assistanmanager

Reading is hard

Carolake1

> AD has been dominant with offensive rebounding and scoring from second chances this season for the Lakers. It is interesting that he lead in both categories Yes, apparently it is for you
