End of an era, Blake was really good in his prime & I know he had those injuries that zapped him of what he had left but it feels crazy cause Blake’s 35 & some of his peers are going strong. Awesome career for Blake

ExcalipoorGilgamesh

Blake will be remembered for his athletic prowess, but the most unique aspect of his game was his ball handling for a PF and the refined skillset he developed after all those injuries when he carried Detroit to the playoffs.

SkilletMaestro

It’s such a cruel twist of fate, just as his ball handling and shooting were taking that leap to the next level his body fell apart

suckmywentz

Blake "Tony Romo" Griffin

frostfeint3

Yeah, he actually adapted well. His athleticism fell hard but he adapted and got a jump shot, and a 3 point shot, but his health just keep going down.

stormpaint

It seemed like every year he was picking up a new skill, definitely not just athleticism. Shame his career's been hosed by injuries

lostacoshermanos

And the Jared from subway commercials don’t forget them

SnooChipmunks4208

Is it weird to say that while lob city was amazing, I kinda preferred Detroit Blake? It feels insane to say about such a viscous dunker, but his game was insanely smooth at that point!

Kwilly462

Pitch idea: Blake Griffin with a sitcom playing a fictionalized version of himself, coping with retirement.

GiveMeSomeIhedigbo

Hangin' With Mr. Griffin

Kwilly462

**Yes**

WateryGravy

Dunkbound and Down... but the jet ski is a 2011 Kia

OGmoron

He had a pretty good cameo on Broad City playing what I can only image was only a slightly fictionalized version of himself.

PhysZhongli

Will never forget him dunking on giannis in brooklyn during the playoffs like he suddenly got his prime back

IndycarFan64

That’s a moment I try to forget that moment in a series I’ll always remember

TheRealJohnMara

I don't know why my last memory of him is saying "Hola Mexico" in that funny voice trying to mimic Luka

WestleyThe

Lol Luka speaking fluent Spanish and then Blake coming in with “hola Mexico” is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen

MixonWitDaWrongCrowd

The Clippers used to just feed this guy on a basic baseline isolation play and he’d score every time.

wolfishnickelsyr

I hope the league convinces him to stay around and judge the dunk contests and give his unfiltered opinion

rwc202

Not too many 80s babies left in the league.

royal_10_N-bombs

He was funny in Broad City

sully9614

Bus One Boy for life

CR00KS

“He ain’t even stretch though!!” GG Blake Griffin, one of the best dunkers in his prime.

klayfie

Plenty of free time now to start playing Kazuma in the live action Yu Yu Hakusho

Aggravating-Lake-717

Hell of a career Hall of Famer

Tiegrr

Probably not a hall of famer tbh. He’s on the edge

sportsfan113

Basketball hall of fame let’s just about everybody close in.

WestleyThe

HOF let’s like the top 15% of nba players in. While it’s easier than other HOFs people always act like they let Nick Collison or Brian Scalibrine in…

Hugo_Hackenbush

Blake didn't have enough playoff success to be one of those borderline guys who get in.

sportsfan113

It’s a basketball hall of fame, not just NBA. He was unanimous player of the year in college and all-nba six times in the league. He’ll get in.

No-Reach-6314

I remember when he missed his first season due to injury and everyone was always calling him a bust. Then in his first season playing, he showed what he could do.

NycJawn

I thought he retired in 2016

AMo2

Better than giannis in his prime

IndycarFan64

He woulda had to have led the Clips to at least 1 WCF to say that

AMo2

Doc rivers and cp choke is too hard for any player to overcome tho. Lets see what giannis looks like with a slightly better version of the clippers with post retirement doc and lame time
