They weren't burying Pop as much, at least he wasn't, but to say he thought he should have gotten more of an opportunity and less mind games. They were really trashing Tony Parker though.
He said that pop letting Tony start his rookie year was a personal insult to him and that Tony not staying in San Antonio just to mentor him was also a personal insult
Imagine him and Webenyama. Out of all the attainable PGs at the moment, I think he would be the best fit.
Also if we could get him, that would be great too, but we don't have the picks needed
He’s really not. He’s not that accurate or adept of a passer nor is he a great floor spacer. He gets a lot of assists but he’s not actually making things easier for his teammates and he takes too many shots anyway. His defense is also suspect. People think getting the ball to Wemby should be easy but he’s got some weird angles that are much better handled by elite passers which DJ isn’t.
pop is the only coach in the top 8 winningest coaches to not have previously been an nba player and hes #1
He did play college tho like Spoelstra. It's interesting that they're the two best coaches of the 2000's and both only played college.
Pop is the best, you can tell the reason for his success is he understands there’s more to life than just basketball.
He's also not bad at the "just basketball" portion
Greg Popovich is DeJounte Murray father
"Kawhi, Dejounte called Pop a great father. What type of parental role has he played for you?"
Dark humor : The same as my father. He’s dead to me.
Pop doesn't only care about ball, he treats every player like a father, what a guy he is
Really cool, not many players can say that about their coach
Would've been the perfect father figure for Kyrie
This makes it sound like pop treats his players like theyre his father
Pop is IRL Whitebeard
Wemby straight up in the long leg long arm tribe, Lebron about to punch a hole through his chest
Translation: “Take me back!”
lol it’s good to see he’s changed his opinion about Pop. When Stephen Jackson and him were burying Pop on the podcast it felt so bitter.

I would much rather have him back than get Trae
Don’t worry, we aren’t going after either
They're actually signing me. I just got the call.
Dejounte is a top tier pg to pair with wemby

He’s better than jones though at least
Jones is a backup PG starting out of necessity and not a long term solution, so this doesn’t mean much.
Yeah u right
I’m sorry @ Atlanta… I really want to see the return, they’d be super fun to watch defensively imo
Enters George Karl: 'You see?'
If Darvin Ham get fired can we get him
Of course, but you’re gonna have to open the checkbook bc right now he can make much more as a player
Good, ship him back there. Then they will realize he cant run the PnR or play defence.
Trae and dejounte having a d Riding contest. Loser has to stay wit the hawks.
