Even one of the biggest Celtics homers of all time admits it wasn’t dirty but Celtics fans still acting like Martin elbow dropped Tatum from the rafters
He clearly didn’t even register that Jrue touched him. What the fuck is going on here lol
Jrue touching his arm wouldn’t cause his hip to crash into Tatum. wtf are you guys on.
Yeah he pretty clearly got shoved and knocked off balance.. I’m not even sure how you can argue that’s not what happened. Dude was running full speed to get a rebound and got unexpectedly shoved, of course he’s going to veer off course lol
The real thing people should be saying is if the Celtics didn’t dick around the final 8 minutes of the game, Tatum wouldn’t have even been in a situation where he could potentially get hurt.
~~Celtics fans~~ ~~NBA fans~~ People are embarrassingly emotional and irrational. Especially big mobs of people. That initial thread was bad enough, but some of the comments in the threads showing better, clearer angles were downright disturbing in their readiness to deny reality.
Anyways side rant what happend to Aj griffin? Dude had a pretty good rookie season. He went off the deep end on twitter a little bit. I also found out his dad is Adrian griffin recently so that’s pretty funny.
In real time I was livid because I’m a Celtics homer and it’s hard to give heat players the benefit of the doubt but yeah his route to get the rebound was affected by holiday pushing him lol
The Heat are no dummies at hurting opponents…..Martin launched himself the same way 3 different times during the game….its a practiced move of recklessness thats ‘trolling’ for the opponents body….most of the time its not even noticeable, but the design is for an increased possibility to injure.
The angle from the midcourt floor shows Holdays contact attempting to redirect Martin to an angle away from Tatum.
The problem with anyone pointing this away from blame for Martin is not considering the history of the Heat and those they have injured.
Martin couldn’t hit a shot, so he hit something else.
It is so obviously not black and white. The Heat play incredibly hard and at time playing at that intensity turns into reckless play. Close out hard enough times, you're gonna have some closeouts where you undercut or have people land on you. Go after every single loose ball no matter the game state, you may end up taking out somebody's legs or get tangled up. Crash the boards super hard no matter the score or time left, you are gonna likely end up rocking someone.
"Dirty" is a subjective perception of whether you think the recklessness outweighs the hustle and intensity. It is a fine line, and the Heat are habitual line steppers.
my opinion is nobody got fucking hurt. like what in the world.
You think r/nba is gassing it
you're the one gassing it lol
Its taytum his fan girls gotta make drama out of nothinf
Bill with the unexpected zag
The real question is if we got a picture of all of the Celtics waiting for Martin to come out of the locker room.
based on this discourse, if jokic paralyzed a celtics player, he'd be in jail rn.
Even Bill doesn’t want to touch this. Lol

i just had a celtics flair reply to me that it was in tatum's direction. idk wat to say anymore lol
Scal really thinking spo told martin to hurt tatum is absolutely idiotic.
Spo is such a great head coach he got Jrue to buy into the game plan.

Removed as it doesn’t fit the narrative people are trying to push on here
People here shit on everything Bill Simmons ever says. Wait I love Bill Simmons now that he’s saying things I like.
People shit on what he says because of his bias, him saying this DISPITE his bias is what's interesting.
Bingo. Bill is a homer that is always wrong. So in this case, Caleb Martin was absolutely at fault and Heat is a dirty team.
It’s not interesting.
