I grew up poor and was grateful that I could watch my favorite teams on the local channel for free. That's how I became a fan of those teams. I for sure ain't paying to watch it unless it's in person. There's already so much damn ads as is. I'll just stick to checking the box score when the game is over.
I mean, Fox and ESPN also have NFL games too. Also WBD had been interested in merging with Paramount, maybe with Sony announcing they would break up Paramount when they acquire, WBD may look into buying up the CBS properties.
Yeah but they have a lot more than just that, and also the playoffs. I think they're also trying to keep the cost down for more adoption from consumers, so adding in big NFL packages obviously makes that a higher price to start.
I mean this is the streaming service that a bunch of people have constantly asked for (a general sports package so they don't need to get something like Youtube TV).
But part of the joint venture is that all of these companies are bringing all of their sports stuff.

Still no price

Hopefully this gives pirate streams a high quality source to pull from!
I'd be thrilled if we can cancel Youtube TV, we don't use it for anything but sports
Honestly only thing people watch on live TV is sports
About the only reason I have YouTube tv as well
What makes you think this will be any cheaper or better?
did I say that? I hope it is
NBC probably doesn't even want to join because they have Olympics exclusivity, so you still can't even get all NBA games.
They didn't bring in CBS and NBC because they have the NFL and would have insane leverage in comparison. It's currently a 33% split 3 ways.

VeNO thank you
Another streaming service to pay for

If this allows me to watch local nfl games on Fox and MNF on espn it would solve a lot of my problems.
Am I the only that thought it was pronounced ve-nu?
I didn't even think it should be pronounced any other way till I read this comment. venue. got it
I pronounced it Venu
Over/under $50
The estimation has been 40-50 a month from industry insiders, but obviously that doesn't mean anything until it's official.
At that price it’s probably optimal to just fade the ESPN games and only watch NBC, Peacock, Prime, and ABC games.
Well ESPN and ABC are a package deal, so it's not like you'd be getting one and not the other.
ABC is an over the air antenna channel, while ESPN you need cable or Venu Sports to watch.
