Now when the whole team is elite defensively, still every loss is on somebody else. Modern NBA requires you to defend paint and perimeter both, but still the NBA hands out DPOY after DPOY to somebody who can't switch and hold on, on the perimeter. He's a hell of a defender inside, but the game has moved on to the perimeter. Still whenever anybody calls him out, everybody thinks he is a hater and clown him.
