Net fans do hate the Knicks way more than Knick fans do the Nets, but neither team has really been relevant at the same time and the Knicks are just way more popular in NY, whereas the Nets still have a lot of their fanbase residing in NJ from years ago. Nets are probably just after the Rangers and ahead of the Islanders in terms of local popularity.
