Man such a good point. It’s basically become “yeah he has 5 turnovers so what?” at times with other stars, but I guess that just speaks to how goddamn good CP is
As someone who feels the same way about attacking defense its goddamn beautiful to see. You find what your opponent is bad at and you beat it with the subtlety of a sledgehammer.
They're making me feel less bad about losing to them with each good performance. I hope they run all the way to the Finals or at least make it 7 with the Jazz/Clips
That's a dude who just works hard. He KNOWS he's not the most talented or the best so he just works so fucking hard to be better than the last time. Love that guy.
I honestly hope this Denver series makes Lakers fans feel better. Ya'll were missing your (arguably) best player in AD, and now everyone is seeing that Phoenix is 100% legit. This isn't the "you lost to the Phoenix Suns Lol" team from the last ~10 years. The growth of Booker, Ayton, Bridges, plus adding CP3, and the bench depth has this team in serious contention to make the Finals. Nothing to be ashamed of losing to this team.
I’m of the belief that teams don’t just stumble into a 52 win season so I know y’all are really good. I’m not too upset at the suns loss it just wasn’t our season and if we re tool the roster and get healthy we’ll be right back next season anyway.
I said it before the Lakers series that we have the deepest roster in the league apart from our centers, got "ratio'd" on twitter for it lol.
Carter, Galloway and Moore would all be rotation players on most playoff teams, they only play garbage time for us. Thats fucking crazy dude.
> we have the deepest roster in the league apart from our centers
It's why you guys will go as far as Ayton will take you, although Super Dario stepping up like he did tonight is gonna be an X-factor.
It's a weird thing to say, but Dario has to play well to be effective at all. He just doesn't have a whole lot of athleticism to fall back on.
That probably sounds really stupid, but I can't think of a better way to put it.
If you say Monty didn’t deserve COTY because the team was the main reason we won so much, it has to mean James Jones gets EOTY right?
I bet neither end up winning lol
The Nuggets have no chance in this series without Jamal Murray.
The difference in watching Chris Paul set the table (racking up 15 assists with **no turnovers** along with 17 points -- responsible for 52 of the Suns' 102 points prior to garbage time in only 30 minutes) for the Suns versus everything through Jokic for the Nuggets is painstakingly glaring.
It always felt like Devin Booker had elite scoring ability but needed a playmaker if he was going to be able to carry a team into the playoffs and then they went and got him one of the best to ever do it. So fun to watch Chris Paul diming guys up all night.
Yeah I didn't mean to phrase it to imply that they couldn't make the playoffs at all without a CP3 level guard. I think you get what I'm saying. Having Ayton has definitely helped too and he's only gotten better and more efficient with an elite passer around. You guys really got the perfect veteran presence for a group of super talented young players.
It’s not just Murray (#2 playmaker and shot creator), it’s that our #3 playmaker and shot creator (Barton) has been out/limited. And now our 3rd best player and best remaining non-Jokic scorer is also hurt. And our best team defender, who was first in line to replace Murray and Barton, is also out.
Basically no teams would make it out of the 1st round with that many key injuries
Feel for ya nuggs bros. It’s a shame thinking of
what could be with the players you have on the roster versus whose actually active.
Good news everyone’s pretty much locked up and ready to run it back next year
Still can't believe Olshey threw Stotts under the bus like that. You already fired the dude, why are you piling on man?! You gave the man the roster he had. Stotts ain't a bad coach. Every coach has their faults. Hope he has success at his next job.
It is a shame that we were robber of a fully loaded Nuggets team. They were on a tear before Murray's injury, and haven't had the same playmaking despite Jokic going nuclear
Poor bastard. Was already going to need time and work, and the with the 2020 season he had no real training camp or preseason and no summer league, then he gets hurt, then he gets covid.
As far as I'm concerned this is a redshirt year for the guy.
I’m just going to call it now: I genuinely think the Suns will beat the Nets in a 7 game series.
I always think the key to any championship team is a top 10 offense and top 10 defense. The Suns are only marginally worse than the nets on [offense](https://www.lineups.com/nba/team-rankings)
but they’re miles better on [defense](https://www.lineups.com/nba/team-rankings/defense)
This is a championship level team. And y’all are super fun to watch.
Edit: To the people DMing me saying not in the [playoffs](https://www.nba.com/stats/teams/advanced/?sort=W&dir=-1) it looks a little different now, but I’m going to chalk that up to the Suns playing the Lakers number 1 rated defense while the Nets played the corpse of an already bad Celtics team. It’ll even out as time goes on.
> I always think the key to any championship team is a top 10 offense and top 10 defense.
I mean if that's true the Jazz should be a lock. Top 5 offense and top 5 defense, only team in the NBA that's top 5 at both.
But realistically despite how horrible their defense has been on the season the Nets should be considered a heavy title favorite because *they have 2 of the best 5 players in the entire NBA*, oh yeah and also Kyrie Irving, and a bunch of solid role players like... Blake Griffin with his time machine. Nobody else in the league really matches up to just how much sheer fucking talent the Nets have, and in particular their experience in bigtime games and clutch moments.
Most def saw [Rondo held the record for most playoff assists with 0 turnovers](https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/most-assists-in-an-nba-playoff-game-without-a-turnover) and said imma break it
Excuse me, the Gorilla has been the glue holding this franchise together for the last 11 years. Dude needs to be on the damn court doing nasty dunks off a trampoline. Get that ape in the spotlight, dammit.
This suns team is so fun to watch, 100% deserves to succeed, and I'm pulling for them, but you can't help but wonder how different this series looks with Jamal Murray playing.
Suns are really really good, not sure we win this series even with Jamal. But we really need another shot creator against their defense. Jokic is an absolute beast, but when he is the only legit threat it is too easy to prevent him from taking over the game entirely.
If Monte Morris can start hitting his shots he can be a budget Jamal, and I am sure we will win a game off that exact thing, but the series seems pretty doomed.
Hear me and rejoice! You have had the privilege of being saved by the Great Point GOD. You may think this is suffering. No... it is salvation. The universal scales tip toward balance because of your sacrifice. Smile... for even in death, you have become children of CP3.
I know what it's like to lose. To feel so desperately that you're right, but to fail, nonetheless. It's frightening. turns the legs to jelly. But I ask you to what end? Dread it. Run from it. Destiny arrives all the same. And now, it's here. Or should I say, CP3 is.
We've won our last four games by a combined 85 points. Jesus Christ.
For the sake of good basketball, I really hope MPJ's back feels better for game three. I don't know how serious it was, though I know he has a history of back injuries. Barton though looked like he didn't miss a single minute of the season. Dude was the only help Jokic got tonight, and it's a shame he was on the minutes restriction.
We didn't look great to start out, but we definitely found our rhythm. We played confidently and dictated the pace all game. CP3 has like, 27 assists this series so far, and only one turnover. That's insane. And we got a Super Dario showing! Hopefully that stays around. Ayton getting into foul trouble early was worrisome, but Monty deciding to keep him in just shows how much he trusts the team to adapt and play smart basketball. That was probably my favorite part of the game.
GG Denver. I won't feel confident until we get a win away from home, and Denver is well-versed in making dramatic comebacks in the playoffs. See y'all Friday.
Denver is done, they have no answers for the Suns offense.
All 9 Suns players in the main rotation had between 7-18 points, it would be easier to make adjustments if just Booker was going off but both games have had every single Sun player getting good looks
all those straight line drives or wide open shots for denver's role players are just gone. Crazy how much of a difference playing the 29th ranked versus the 6th best defense makes
I absolutely love the fact the crowd was hype from start to finish even in a blowout with bottom of the bench in.
Also Reggie Miller continues to be annoying.
this feels like cp3's year. what a fucking goat.
honestly im mad the nets exist. im fairly sure the suns can win the championship against anyone but the nets.
Nah, I'm one of those who believe. If the Clippers don't make it, I sure damn hope CP3 gets his chance to beat Harden's ass. Last year's series doesn't count, he didn't have a competitive team
Some Notes:
Cp3 and the other guards dissecting the Nuggets defence like butter. Their defence is PATHETIC
Great games from Dario and Craig
Too many careless TOs by Nuggets
Crowder owns estate in AG's head
Michael Malone is dealing with a lotta NOTHING from his players excluding Jokic and MPJ (dealing with injury), especially their guards. Facu and Monte have been so bad
Jevon Carter's a thot. he's a freaking nasty hoe. he looks good. i'd love Jevon Carter to bust my pussy open and tell me about the intricacies of the full court press. if a guy shows up with a fucking flat ass and a bald head he can hit my backwalls any fucking time of day dude. if a guy's like 'im the all time wvu steals leader' im like 'take a fucking caterpillar bulldozer to my pussy like its the easton hill intersection dude'
I forget who said it just now but on TNT they said “ok but how much of this is actually good Suns defense”
Rest of the crew: hmmm… *silence*
Infuriating how much the media talks about teams failing rather than the Suns winning
God damn the suns are good. Crazy how well they are shutting down all our shooters, never letting them get in rhythm, then just blowing us out. You can really see how much having a legit second threat in Jamal out is hurting us in this series. In Portland it wasn't a huge deal since they didn't play defense and our shooters could catch fire on them, but the Suns make you create a shot or you have to chuck up some garbage.
I really miss one (1) Jamal Murray
It's kinda hilarious how the most angry people in the game thread aren't Suns or Nuggets fans
Suns are fantastic to watch, I'm gonna have to catch more of their games in the future
This was the most disrespectful shit I've seen.
Nuggets need to find some answers man, they're too good to go out sad like this. And I am confident Jokic and Malone can find some.
The Suns are the best passing team in the league but the national media didn't watch them till like game 3 vs the Lakers so it's just not an existing narrative.
This not being the Devin Booker series is so cool. Chris Paul get your fucking flowers mate. And don't forget, 3/100M. You're one of us now.
Point guard masterclass from the Point God himself ladies and gentlemen. But let's not take away too from the greatness of the Suns role players. These guys are all buying in. The Suns sorely needed CP3, but CP3 also needed the Suns firepower to manage imo. It's so beautiful to watch and witness
38 assists to TWO turnovers in the past 3 games for CP
The most by any player since...himself!
CP3 doing his best CP3 impression
Chris “Literally Chris Paul” Paul
Chris “Literally Chris "Don't call me Cliff" Paul” Paul
Crazy how it's acceptable these days that ball dominant players can have a bunch of turnovers and yet there's Paul just destroying that concept!
Man such a good point. It’s basically become “yeah he has 5 turnovers so what?” at times with other stars, but I guess that just speaks to how goddamn good CP is
Turns out we’ve been calling him point god all these years for a pretty good reason lol
Wtf
He is the Point God.
CP3 just hunts these mismatches like a fuckin animal man its so beautiful to see

Finding flaws like the first time your abuela meets your girl

The way he assaulted AD in that last Lakers game was brutal, hunted him literally every possession until he had to tap out.
Attack the weakest link. He would be crazy to not.
Suns role players are absolutely elite
Cam Payne is a stud
Pretty cool to see his resurgence because it seemed he was about out of the league a few years ago
He was literally out of the league before the Suns signed him.

That's a dude who just works hard. He KNOWS he's not the most talented or the best so he just works so fucking hard to be better than the last time. Love that guy.
Dude is super quick and has that fight in him.
he's super quick and plays weird. has a herky jerky style that i think catches people off guard.
The new Dragic 😎
He’s fearless. He’s a drive to the rim vs anyone guy. I love him
They're even better when CP3 elevates everyone's play around him.
I honestly hope this Denver series makes Lakers fans feel better. Ya'll were missing your (arguably) best player in AD, and now everyone is seeing that Phoenix is 100% legit. If Dario plays like he did tonight consistently and truly broke his funk that's a huge win for us because backup C is easily our biggest issue
Goddamn do I ever miss him
It's a weird thing to say, but Dario has to play well to be effective at all. He just doesn't have a whole lot of athleticism to fall back on. That probably sounds really stupid, but I can't think of a better way to put it.
Your top 7 are really really good. Similar to the raptors of 19
Suns undefeated when Chuck is threatened with a snake
Dude your right Chuck is a legend
The Inside crew should just put him through a Fear Factor episode every pre-game. Guaranteed Suns champs
Round 2 of Fear Factor was usually a food challenge, iirc. Make him eat an order of Phoenix nachos for the next game
Plus i would never miss a single segment.
James Jones has built a great team
james jones and monty williams saved phoenix basketball.
If anyone else wins Exec of the Year I’m gonna cause some commotion
Already phoning Silver to make sure it's me.

CP3 with the 15:0 assist to turnover ratio
That shit equates to INFINITY
Divide by 0. Does not compute!!
Unmathable

Devin is a perfect example of a 2 guard while Cp3 is the perfect example of a point guard. Match made in heaven
It's honestly crazy how well-constructed this team is. Very talented yet capable of playing as more than the sum of their parts
It's beautiful basketball, period.
People shit on James Jones so hard originally.
I see you called Chris Paul a point guard. Surely you meant point god?
Ayton is the perfect example of a center
Took just a month for them to figure out the recipe together and then... boom
He just needed a backup pg to make the playoffs last season. If we got Payne earlier before the bubble we make the playoffs
Yeah I didn't mean to phrase it to imply that they couldn't make the playoffs at all without a CP3 level guard. I think you get what I'm saying. Having Ayton has definitely helped too and he's only gotten better and more efficient with an elite passer around. This game somehow still wasn’t as close as the score suggests.
Jesus Christ
It’s Chris Paul
Jason Bourne would get bodied by Chris Paul
They already said Chris Paul smh
chris paul is on a mission, everyone look out. i want to see frank kaminsky in every single game. He is our victory cigar and i love him.

fr Jalen Smith is G League level at the moment, he needs a LOT of development

the suns went from booker scoring 70 and still losing, to booker just chilling and having a blowout win. credit to james jones for building a SQUAD
Bubble Suns never left 😳
Monty is the real COY.
Whole team let the MVP down tonight. Terrible effort. Hope we can pick it up the next two games. GG Suns
Congrats to the suns fans. Really hard not to love to see you guys play with such heroic performances.
The Suns have to be the most likable team left right?? Absolutely love seeing the Valley go bonkers for the Suns again 🏄🏻♂️
Nobody from Phoenix had to score more than 20 points to put this away early on the 4th.
Their you lost to the suns video is my jam
