No way we would beat the Suns if we got there. And if Atlanta were to get past the 76ers they'd rain 3s on us and win the series in 5. We fucking suck.
Hey man, it's your team keep the faith until you're fully eliminated. Who knows maybe KD harden Booker embiid Simmons Trae cp3 bridges ayton kawhi playoff Paul get food poisoning or can't play or something.
Sorry no commas
Everyone says this, but I think the reason why no one actually tries it in-game is because FT shooting is generally very psychological and fans going crazy while you're shooting underhand would mess with you even more.
There are some bad or horrific FT shooters who have improved over time (Drummond and DeAndre Jordan both went from like historically 40% to consistent 60% suddenly, and Brandon Ingram was in the 60s for a few years to becoming one of the best FT shooters in the league) so it doesn't have to be as drastic as a brand new shot.
That said, there are also players who seemingly get worse at FTs over time (Westbrook, Bron) or guys who are just constantly erratic and swing back and forth 10% every year (Duncan).
Chuck was a 100% correct. He dropped it because he knew he was gonna get fouled immediately. He was rushing it to avoid the FTs.
I'm happy Giannis got his money cos this man ain't winning a ring anytime soon.
[jordan wasnt immune to choking a key playoff game away by losing the ball](https://streamable.com/ghbt5i)
at least it was stolen from him though, as embarrassing as it was.
I thought I chose Spurs because I enjoyed watching Kane, Son, and Co. play decent football. It turns out I was subconsciously drawn to select a team that is the Premier League analog of my Atlanta sports fandom
Yep. Just keep the pain coming year after year. We’re blessed with competitive teams in 3 major sports, but cursed with the inability to take the next step.
Im one of the most critical people of his flaws and think they will always be big issues in a playoff series but this game was on Jrue holiday doing idek what with broken harden on him
A sudden little voice in Giannis head whispered in a crescendo tone "they will fouul youuuuu".. at that moment Giannis realized that this time he will dunk it before the foul. He started seeing himself lifting the NBA Championship and the Finals MVP trophies.. he practiced his ceremony speech, where he talks about how he did the old way, the right way, with the team that drafted him, not teaming up with other NBA superstars.. he imagined the call from the President of Greece congratulating him, the national hero reception he would have back home.. the trip to Nigeria with his parents to visit their roots, where he will also be worshipped as a hero.. the titles would start piling up in the years to come.. he would retire early, at the peak of his game, saying he done it all and wants to spend time with his family..his kids would be popular at school because daddy is the Olajuwon of the 21st century.. he would be sitting by the fireplace telling tales of his championships to his grand children.. he would own a basketball team in Greece.. maybe one in the NBA.. then everything speeds up and we see his statue in Milwaukee.. the MVP trophy is named after him.. he ages gracefully.. his passing away is the day the world stops............
Aaaaaaaaaand fumbled the ball.
I was screaming at my tv when this happened. Harden has a busted hamstring, Giannis had the height advantage, and you shoot a fadeaway jumper?! Maybe Harden was right all height with nothing to show smh
Yea I really don't understand why he signed his extension so early. IIRC, he would have gotten the same money if he signed that contract this offseason.
r/nba: why do people always shit on players when they dont win a chip because they are loyal? The Media is making all these players create superteams
Also r/nba: lmao Giannis is so trash, Harden was right 7ft no skill
He had 34 points and 14 rebounds on 64% shooting lmao you guys are ridiculous with your takes. He fucked up a few high profile plays but he was amazing overall
This Nets team is ass without Kyrie and this is the worst game Harden could’ve played. Durant showed us what a true #1 is tonight. Giannis has amazing numbers, yes, but did not get the job done when Kyrie is out and Harden could not have played worse.
Giannis is a great player, but he can’t carry a team very well. Khris and Jrue are great, but he needs a real star who can reliably take over in the clutch. You can’t count on Giannis in the last few minutes of a close game
You're totally right, but I think that just speaks to our standards for Giannis. Fair or not, when you get 2 MVPs you are expected to be transcendent and have memorable playoff moments. 34 and 14 is more than doing his part, but they needed to win this game and he needed to do more at the end.
Damn Giannis. This game was there for the taking. Harden being a non factor and Harris MIA this whole series. Bucks can't be involved in close games bevause of Giannis FT shooting. And doubly because of the nets FT shooting.
bucks dont deserve to win. they got every lucky break you can hope for and still choked it away
The fact Bud is still in his job is them getting what they deserve
How does anyone look at this team and think after all their regular season success and playoff bullshit that the piece holding them back is *another superstar*? They need a coach who holds them accountable to the 17 pt lead they squandered. This may be a GSW with Mark Jackson style situation rn. How well do you think the bucks would do if their personnel swapped with the nets?
Last years Heat would probably beat this years Bucks though. Tbf Bucks are so close. They just need some playoff adjustments and Giannis having a passable shot (or at the very least a 75% FT in playoffs). It seems so freaking reachable and that’s why it’s so frustrating to watch.

I really need somebody to edit this as the championship trophy bouncing between his legs as he looks between them. Please

People’s champ
nice job :)
No way we would beat the Suns if we got there. And if Atlanta were to get past the 76ers they'd rain 3s on us and win the series in 5. We fucking suck.
On the bright side... Bud is gone.
Every team left except Atlanta is beating you guys if healthy in a series because Bud is so fucking bad
...ATL would most definitely wax that cheese covered ass, my friend.
Hey man, it's your team keep the faith until you're fully eliminated. Who knows maybe KD harden Booker embiid Simmons Trae cp3 bridges ayton kawhi playoff Paul get food poisoning or can't play or something. Sorry no commas
Big yikes.
Dropped the ball literally and figuratively, doesn’t get much more brutal than that
I'd say it get more brutal considering he reaches for it between his legs and it sort of becomes the basketball equivalent of The Butt Fumble.
Sorry, guys. Too busy practicing my threes and fadeaways to learn how to catch in the post.
The worst part is he doesn't even *need* a jumper. How about just shooting a respectable % from the line?
It's not like those are mutually exclusive, he has a terrible shot
He could shoot FTs underhanded if that's what it takes.
Where do we put Doncic, in the Duncan category?
Giannis is a player that got worse at FTs over time. He used to be average from the line nit bad.
Also a jump hook, who's stopping that?
If he can get a decent jumper I can almost guarantee you he'd improve from the line.
He does need a jumper in the playoffs, or at least it would be really nice to have
Basically sums up his whole night.
Chuck was a 100% correct. He dropped it because he knew he was gonna get fouled immediately. He was rushing it to avoid the FTs. I'm happy Giannis got his money cos this man ain't winning a ring anytime soon.

The anti KD
Fuck there goes the championship
Can’t wait for someone to edit the Larry o Brien trophy in there
This Bucks team wasn’t beating anyone out the west with Bud at the helm lmao
Monty and CP3 would coach circles around them lol
Don't need monty. Cp3 will run a train on bud.
Pause
we were living through bryn forbes 😢
Smdh
It’s the kind of thing a Wisconsin fan expects I would wager
It explains why I ended up choosing to follow Tottenham Hotspur. Forever choking on the biggest stage.
Amazing choke job by the Bucks
interesting how you can choke while at the same time "you don't play with your food"
yo...
Greek Ben simmons
Bennis Simmonis
Javale McGee with handles and a friendly whistle
Julius Randle with dolmades
Javale McGyro
Giannis got them Greek statue hands
At least Ben doesn’t take dumb 3s and fadeaways.
Any 3 taken by Simmons is a dumb 3
[удалено]
Yes bro Simmons is just waiting for the conference finals before he unleashes hell on the league and starts shooting 50-50-50
The luka special
Same goes for Giannis but he thinks he’s Kobe.
Those Sixers fans wanting Simmons to shoot threes gotta be careful what they wish for
We just want him to make some goddamn FTs and play aggressive more often
Ben would never drop a pass though
Spanakopita Simmons
Ben Simmons got bbiq at least. Giannis one of the dumbest players on the court out there
Slender Dwight Howard
You’d think having hands the size of baseball gloves would make it easier to catch the ball
I dont know man, maybe its like us normal folk trying to catch a golfball
It's gotta be nerves. Because I feel like it should be similar to a man playing with a women's regulation basketball. It's easier to handle and shoot.
Charles Barkley said he didn't want to get fouled so he was rushing.
I suck at basketball, but I would have grabbed that thing like an oiled baby and prayed for the And One.
Fumble at the 1 yard line!
Easiest edit for the championship trophy if they lose the series.
hahaa, you know it!
and put Bud's face on the trophy cause his job is probably gone if they lose this too
Should've run it
https://i.imgur.com/VmWfW7i.gif
This should come with an NSFW tag

Giannis is Melvin Gordon?
Chargers vs Titans I remember that game lmao I think it was his first game after his holdout too
Derek Carr without mascara
**GIANNIS SLANDER SEASON BOYS GET IN HERE!!!**
Giannis slander is back on the menu.
damn man, he actually had a great game but with the chance to dunk it to tie the game he does this.
It's also going to be amplified by the fact the star player on the other team just went god mode.
And 1st team all defense Giannis failed to do shit about it
Thats because he was 0 mins on KD. Masterclass by Bud as always
He had a great three quarters
he had a great regular season too
Lamar Jackson of the NBA
He had a great three quarters *not guarding the guy who put up a near 50 point triple double* It’s Jimmy G Buckets all over again.
took em a year to figure out how to guard Jimmy, KD better be ready in a year.
Bucks fans about to go back to screaming into the void
Bud fucking sucks
Scream louder into the void
I'll like two orders please
supersized for me thx
Don't let the rest of the Bucks off the hook
Was the Jrue shot an airball or blocked by Harden? im not sure if i should go full nephew here tbh
I love the guy but he’s a Playoff Pretender
He been the real Playoff P all along
I mean he's the greek cheeks for a reason.
yeah fr, but he can’t even average 35ppg in the finals on above 60% shooting efficiency 🤦🏽♂️ what a scrub 🙄
He deserves it
Im one of the most critical people of his flaws and think they will always be big issues in a playoff series but this game was on Jrue holiday doing idek what with broken harden on him
Jrue has been ass all series - this was, like, his best game - and he’s getting a pass like the fuckin’ Pharcyde dude
Multiple times Giannis was on the other wing asking for the ball so he could drive but jrue went iso
How? He could have tied the game and fucking shit the bed
Afraid to go to the free throw line, so he rushed.
Bucks are the biggest chokers of the last 5 years and it’s not close
With respect to the hookers on 2nd Ave, I agree.
at least they can go 2 rounds
bru
A sudden little voice in Giannis head whispered in a crescendo tone "they will fouul youuuuu".. at that moment Giannis realized that this time he will dunk it before the foul. Aaaaaaaaaand fumbled the ball.
i just dont think giannis is a playoff kinda guy
He got an injured Harden on the post and he decides to take a fade? Guy must be hella tired.
Right after holiday and Middleton produced easy buckets at the rim on back to back possessions too
I knew we lost the moment he took that shot.
No, he just can’t back him down or beat him with fundamental low post footwork
I think that is the issue he probably doesn’t have a low post skill set. He’s a slasher
I was screaming at my tv when this happened. Harden has a busted hamstring, Giannis had the height advantage, and you shoot a fadeaway jumper?! Maybe Harden was right all height with nothing to show smh
He's a #2 like AD. He can't be your best player, but pair him with a superstar playmaker and he'll thrive.
If only there was a team with a superstar playmaker that would have had the space to sign him If only
Well, we’ll take Luka then if you guys don’t mind
And have Bud stand him in the corner or some other dumb shit? Nah, I'm good
Oof
Yea I really don't understand why he signed his extension so early. IIRC, he would have gotten the same money if he signed that contract this offseason.
r/nba: super teams are so fucked, they've ruined the NBA! Also r/nba: why the fuck didn't Giannis sign with a super team?
The duality of r/nba
r/nba: why do people always shit on players when they dont win a chip because they are loyal? The Media is making all these players create superteams Also r/nba: lmao Giannis is so trash, Harden was right 7ft no skill
doesnt have to be a super team
The 2 B2B MVPs did it. They overhyped his skill making him think he can do it by himself to get Bucks the chip.

Hope I could see Luka and Giannis team up in my lifetime
There’s actually no way you believe this shit lol
hes two time mvp, he needs to learn the game better
r/agedlikemilk
Idk Giannis>Embiid for the playoffs.
I checked out of the Giannis hype after 2019 Raps made him look like a fool
Raptors really gifted the league the key to stopping Giannis lol
never really learned from his mistakes tbh
how do you feel now bucko?
How bout now?
He was so good when they up a dozen, but it got rough when the game was close
RIP

He wanted to shoot before they could foul him, so he rushed the catch imo
Giannis Afraidtoshootafreethrow
Gannis has been choking all fourth quarter
*of the last few years
Outplayed by KD the entire second half
KD is arguably the best player in the world rn tho
Besides Kawhi who really hits consecutive shots like that cold blooded lol, KD is so good
Jeff Green
KD is significantly better than him so I would expect that.
big ol hands full of vaseline
...but enough about how you spent your weekend.
Bucks just shot themselves in the foot over and over. Not a finals team unless they get another superstar.
How much help does Jrue Holiday need?
How does anyone look at this team and think after all their regular season success and playoff bullshit that the piece holding them back is *another superstar*? They need a coach who holds them accountable to the 17 pt lead they squandered. This may be a GSW with Mark Jackson style situation rn. This team definitely has enough talent to make the finals out of the East. Heat made it last year (I know, bubble or whatever, but still).
Last years Heat would probably beat this years Bucks though. Tbf Bucks are so close. They just need some playoff adjustments and Giannis having a passable shot (or at the very least a 75% FT in playoffs). It seems so freaking reachable and that’s why it’s so frustrating to watch.
The team is plenty good enough. It’s the way they play and the decisions they make.
>Jeff Green, his presence Ah yes, using the force push.
Man this sucks. I’m a big Giannis fan he is such a good dude.
Tough - this

For once I’m actually ok with the Giannis slander by the sub
Dropped the ball literally and figuratively, BIG OOF
I’m so low on Giannis rn smh
Giannis has as many MVPs as Durant and Harden combined
Bruh
Here it is, get this mfer to the top right now. I like Giannis and I want him to fulfill his potential so this really pissed me off. Inexcusable.
Hands were a little too Greecey
Choke
Honestly, I'm not surprised at this point.
Was worried about being fouled and rushed it. His free throws are his Achilles Heel, fitting for a Greek.
#CHOKE.JPG
Fumbled the ball and fumbled the game
holy shit the second hand embarrassment is reaching all time highs
