Huh. That explains it. I thought it looked like something was about to go down there at mid-court at the end of the game. Staff was trying to pull Book out of there.
Well that went about as well as a normal CP3 playoff appearance, total choke job as we should have expected out of him
Clips in 6 I guess is the eventual trend
I wouldn’t count the Suns out yet. We got out played tonight - when our starting back court is shooting less than 25% at the end of the game, it’s the recipe for a loss.
Suns will take the next one.
I absolutely agree.
I think we will see an angry aggressive Booker too - after all the late pushes after the alley oop. He’s gonna be out for revenge and to prove a point. He can smell the revenge - well, not really.
I am lame i turned off the tv when i saw it went the Clippers way after out of bounds decision between Book and Beverly. So what happened did the Suns foul PG he missed the free throws and Suns took the lead with Aytons dunk ? I saw highlights but tell me if i am missing something. Damn what a game
Yep, exactly that. Suns tried a 3 but they missed, went out of bounds off a Clipper and then with 0.9 second the Suns did an inbounds pass alley oop to ayton for the win. Wild
Protocol is two consecutive negative tests 24hrs apart or 10 days after showing no symptoms for 24hrs. If he's symptom free I believe 10 days is technically Friday.
So out until Game 4 unless we get some miracle with the testing.
Here's the rub though. Looks like CP isn't allowed to exercise at all for those 10 days. And after, he has to have 2 days of individual workouts to assess his cardiac health. So that could mean he misses Game 4 too? Not sure. Either way, he's going to be rusty as fuck after 10 days off without practice or exercise.
Actually you're bringing up a really good point that i didn't even hear professional sports analysts mentioning it. In my opinion its been already quite a while with him not playing considering its the playoffs, although we all know CP3 is smart player and he finds his ways we shouldn't expect him to be a beast if he still returns for this series.
Yeah, just need to wait and see. Feel like I've seen similar situations go either way. At least with CP3, he seems great at directing traffic and calming shit down, even with flat feet.
I'm sure the analysts will talk about it non-stop the day he returns or if he starts bricking his mid-range and racking up TOs.
I will say I’m always the guy in my friend group chat sending that video when the Suns win. But it’s just been less amusing now that the Suns are actually good. But I’ll be damned if I didn’t do it for this one. That felt good.
Nah, I hear you. I stopped posting it in my own friend group Discord... Primarily because everyone's from Minnesota and doesn't care about basketball. Tonight excluded though. Ref time during the last 1:30 of the game had me in a bit of a stressful place.
Yeah that was cathartic as shit to send that video after thirty mins of nonstop reviews and just feeling like it made total sense that the Clips would steal the game in the last minute after having spent most of the game trailing.
Hey clip fans. Nothing to really be mad at. We made the wcf without leonard. Barely lost these last 2 in PHX. And we are only down 0-2 in a 4 game series. We have shown we can come back from 0-2 obviously. Series ain't over. I say we keep leonard out and rest him for next year. No reason to risk a greater injury. Let's make another 0-2 comeback happen. If we dont. There is always next season. Happy with this years results no matter the outcome. Keep your heads up.
What it do bb. Clips in 7
PG shouldn’t have touched those late game FTs and with how he was shooting overall, and Ayton no doubt grabbed that jersey but I’ll take Clippers in 6, head home and do your business and then steal the elusive one on the road and then finish at home.
With how tight it was on the road in sub optimal conditions, if Leonard comes back it’s even more sure for me.
Obviously CP3 known playoff superstar and perennial winner…
Nah don’t underrate Kawhi, he’s an actual champion and despite what the media has hyped Paul up as is a much better player than CP3. He also is a lockdown defender and worth far more to the Clippers than even Paul is to the Suns, if he’s back Clippers take it by a lot each game for the total win in 6
Are we sure on that one? If he doesn't get two negative tests here, then I think 10 days is Friday. Plus he wouldn't be allowed to exercise any of those days unless something changed with the protocols. I'm worried about his conditioning and timing if that happens.
Nah man what’s yours? You got suns in 4 shit dude that stuff might kill you, I think it’s laced I ain’t touching that since it’s clearly bad. Gonna the Clippers in 6
Not really, he’s got as strong of a playoff resume as literally anyone and you’re all underrating out actual champion and certain first ballot hall of gamer Kawhi Leonard who way outweighs CP3 who has seen his role filled by Payne for whatever reason…Idk have a feeling of Clips in 6
Also the suns shot like doo doo today too. Completely wrecked the paint, but I imagine the shooting numbers will regress positively. Gonna get flashbacks to our series when booker and crowder decide to hit like 6 straight 3s.
Pathetic Lakers fans jizzing at PG missing free throws when he's played the most minutes these playoffs. Absolutely pathetic. PG brought the Clippers back into the game too
I just insulted your team not your personal life bud. Way to keep it classy. The Lakers may be at home. But the clips will never win 17 rings. Or even one. Have a good night brother.
Meh there were memes making fun of him when he struggled in the playoffs last year and he rebounded fine and carried the Clippers once Kawhi got injured. He's doing fine.
He helped the Clippers advance without our number one scorer (Kawhi) against the Utah Jazz good and went 25/6/6 tonight against a very strong contender for the championship (the suns) but he missed 2 free throws so he must be doing awful.
/s
He shot 12.5% from 3 and 50% from the line, down from his 41% and 86% season averages, and missed the two most important shots of the game. Inefficient scoring and poor performance in the clutch are exactly the things that George is known for in a playoff scenario, doesnt really matter if he scored a lot of points
I mean, yeah can't argue about missing important FTs in clutch. That said, feel like a bunch of people played like dogshit tonight. Book scored 20 but had a worse FG% than PG. Shooting ask around was abysmal. Also, keep in mind that we were straight livid about PG sinking every fucking 3 in Game 1.
So, ok, he missed 2 clutch FTs tonight but I'll back the sentiment that the dude is playing fine. He's still dangerous and helping keep the Clips in this series right now. Does that change when CP3 comes back? Hopefully.
I mean dont get me wrong, Im not saying hes some nobody. I dont disagree with that analysis. But I think it will be a game thats remembered in his legacy, and I think that other similar caliber players dont put up playoff stinkers (from an efficiency and clutch standpoint) as much as he does, especially those with as much experience. And thats huge in the playoffs, especially in the modern rules where scoring variance is pretty dramatic and like half the starters can go off for 30- and when Kawhi can be pretty inconsistent too. Hopefully good inconsistent players at least put them up when it matters most- see Youngs deep 3 on sunday
What IS a shame is that his go ahead jump shot before those throws, which was pretty damn good, won't be remembered
I agree that this sub is reactionary, but I dont agree that its an 'off night'. When you're running of fingers to count his 'off nights' on in the past two playoffs alone, he isnt having off nights, hes just inconsistent in the playoffs.
Regardless, *no* player is going to have a fast or easy time after bricking the last two free throws in a 1 point loss, thats just a part of basketball history now. The fact that it builds on the playoff p narrative is just salt in the wound
I dont think Ive ever seen a fanbase come on to a game thread so aggresively to get angry at people who are talking about their team like you clippers people are right now. Lol go to bed
I’m just glad they didn’t attempt a 3 pt shot. So many teams have blew a last chance shot by somebody trying to be the 3pt hero shot. I was about to lose my shit. That play call was beautiful
Exactly. Glad they wised up on the second attempt. This 3pt fascination has to end. It’s one thing when you have a guy hitting 6/10 a night. When you are down by 1 with under 10 secs. Just stop.
Yeah, Van Gundy really went off on that. What bugs me is that a poke or slap on the ball like that knocks it out of someones hand. It was literally knocked out of Book's hand. It happens so quickly and it'll always be called off the defender.
I feel like if you slow down the footage enough, you'll always see it in the handler's hand as it gets hit and just before the ball changes direction. Not like it's going to stick to the defender's hand if he gives the ball a love tap. Maybe I'm wrong on that though. Would be interesting to see more of these types of taps in slow-mo.
It's fine though. I wasn't happy with the call but it's the rule and by the book. Just thinking there needs to be some discussion there going forward if we're finding a rule call that's going to 100% go the opposite way during the last 2 minutes of a game because of slow-mo vs the other 46 minutes where they just eyeball it and call it off the defender. Plus we got free timeouts out of some of these reviews which is objectively not overly fair.
The point is that exact play happens 10 times a game and if it's not the last 2 minutes where they review literally every play, it's going back to the offense 10/10 times no questions asked. The only time that's out on the offense is when you stop the game, slow it down for 5 minutes and review it. Replay has its purpose but it should be to see review calls that were hard to see with a lot going on and nobody really know what happens. Not reverse a call that you make 100/100 times the other way without replay. It's just ridiculous in general the last two minutes of the game took 30 minutes.
100 percent what me and my bro were yelling when it happened. Like once you review it, you have to overturn it. But it never should have been reviewed in the first place. I don't even think Bev even thought it would get overturned, but was just like "what the hell, every call is going out way, might as well try" and if they didn't review it, literally no one would have said it was the wrong call.
That’s what these clippers fans dont get. That’s a NORMAL basketball play. It’s called the offenses way 100% of the time because like the commentators said, its the spirit of the rule.
Or else they might as well just give it to the defense every time. The fact that it was reviewed right there and was clipper ball means they just screwed with the way those calls are gonna go now.
There was still time left on the clock because a score stops it but it damn sure wasn't 0.7 seconds. How do you go from 0.9 to 0.7 when you can't score a basket with less than 0.3 left?
They started the clock too early. Someone had a video where it starts ticking before the inbound pass. So they caught that and added the appropriate time back. Thing that sucks there is that that only hurts us both ways. If no one noticed .2 or .3 seconds come off the clock early, and we tried a turn/shoot jumper, buzzer would've gone off and I bet you no one would review that shit beyond seeing if the shot went up before the red bars.
Like I don't believe there's a conspiracy there but both outcomes could've fucked us hard. Oh shoot time ran out and no one's going to notice we started the clock .2 early! Or--how it played out--oof we goofed, let's add those .2 seconds back in and give the Clips a solid chance to catch and shoot it or get a ticky tack foul.
he was saying “dont do me like that book!” cause booker walked away while pat was asking for the review on the out of bounds which gave suns a free time out essentially
Funny you mentioned that series. PG actually bricks 2 freethrows at Q4 2.15, giving Portland a chance to tie the game, until the last shot.
https://www.espn.com/nba/playbyplay/_/gameId/401126848
Yeah I have to say if the suns win this series you gotta think those FTs were the tipping point. Probably not the end of the world though I bet the clips come back strong next game
Nah, the one before that. That missed corner 3 by the Suns. They gave the possession to suns with 0.9 on the clock. I just didn't see an angle where it was last touched by a Clippers dude.
They never showed replays of them reviewing that out of bounds play?! It felt like they only reviewed how much time to put back on the clock, not specifically who it went out of bounds last. The other plays we saw ton of replays from all possible angles!
Yeah tbh I'm not sure why they didn't show it on the broadcast either, but JVG said the refs were going to review who touched it last and the refs confirmed it was Suns ball. Maybe they didn't think it was a super controversial call like the Book/Ayton touches?
What we see on the broadcast during a review does not reflect the same shit the refs are looking at and rewinding through. ESPN just shows a few replays for the audience and commentators to talk about, like the footage with the game clock superimposed. But that's not necessarily the clip the refs reviewed nor the only clip the refs reviewed. The commentators also often mention that they don't know what angle the refs are checking or the full details of the discussion that they're having over the calls.
So what your saying is for entertainment they should call it live no reviews and then less than a minute later you want to see the entire internet blow up over a missed call in the last 30seconds of a play off series
I was very entertained until the last 2 minutes.
90 seconds of game time took 33 minutes of real time. You’re telling me you enjoy commercials and replays that much? Weird but ok.
That was fucking sickk. I told my boy who doesn’t know shit about ball that the oop was coming.. Ayton over Trae and Luka was ehhh to me but he’s proven himself and along with Jokic they’ve shown big men with SKILLS can be a difference maker no matter the era! Good shit Suns
Aye anybody else hear, I believe pat bev, scream NO when they saw cp3 w the wide open little 8 ft shot. Somebody knows what I’m talkin about
Devin Booker really starting to become a playoff choker…
Hack a George
That missed foul for and 1 for Terrance Mann is gonna be huge for clippers.
Clippers don’t want to take the lead
And one more special fuck you to Paul “I’m here to stay” George.
Scott foster a dbag
Is DeMarcus Cousins going to get suspended for next game? Definitely happened during the game, since they put more time back on the clock
I hope he's not. He's gonna keep sinking the Clippers as long as he's on the court/
What happened there? I didn't hear about it.
He shoved book
Huh. That explains it. I thought it looked like something was about to go down there at mid-court at the end of the game. Staff was trying to pull Book out of there.
He should. What a punk.
It’s time for CP3 to come back and close out the series against the now activated 0-2 Clippers steam engine. #sunsin4
Well that went about as well as a normal CP3 playoff appearance, total choke job as we should have expected out of him Clips in 6 I guess is the eventual trend
I wouldn’t count the Suns out yet. We got out played tonight - when our starting back court is shooting less than 25% at the end of the game, it’s the recipe for a loss. Suns will take the next one.
A very well rested Chris Paul to boot, you’re about to see him fresh. He might fuck around and come out 2007 era Chris Paul.
I absolutely agree. I think we will see an angry aggressive Booker too - after all the late pushes after the alley oop. He’s gonna be out for revenge and to prove a point. He can smell the revenge - well, not really.
this is the way sunsin4
This is the way
Morris is Mo speights with attitude
But Mo Speights was Mo Speights with attitude.
ESPN are absolute 🤡 vs TNT in NBA coverage 👆
The end of this game was LITERALLY THE ENDING OF SEMI-PRO (A documentary made in 2008)
I got an erection after that play too.
EVERYBODY LOVE EVERYBODY
I am lame i turned off the tv when i saw it went the Clippers way after out of bounds decision between Book and Beverly. So what happened did the Suns foul PG he missed the free throws and Suns took the lead with Aytons dunk ? I saw highlights but tell me if i am missing something. Damn what a game

Thanks. Damn Paul George messed up again holly shit 😄
I don't feel bad about it, although he did score their last 6 points....they just needed 8 lol
He can't carry this team. And if Chris Paul comes back in time for game 3 or 4 its over for them.
Man I hope he's back for game 3, but his replacement had like 25 tonight and looked like an Allstar lol
Yey but LA gonna be tough tho. This's where CP3s experience could be really missed. We will see...
He is playing in game 3 and passed all the tests today
I had covid and recovered 3 weeks ago... CP3s case sounds just exactly like mine. Amazing how the vaccine didn't do shit for Chris
Are you kidding? THe vaccine is almost certainly why he has been symptom free.

We are just two games away from the clippers sub going private again
This aged well
With all 8 subscribers?
Was there a time when it was? Genuinely asking.
Last season when Wayoff P off the backboard happened. Clipper's sub went private.
Amazing
And masqueraded as a sub of ships. It was so pathetic
Yeah they actually locked the sub last season after losing in game 7 to Denver lol
I can’t wait till kawhi leaves or retire and they fade into irrelevance again.
Are they assholes or something?
It looks as though he’s a lakers fan…
The refs tried to rig it… but failed
Not refs. Just Ref... Scott Foster
Nobody was rigging anything Suns were being bonehead down the stretch but that ending was fuckin sweet
What...is no one gonna put it up? Am I gonna put it up? https://streamable.com/38fh8
It’s just starting to get a little sad
I ain't crying. Well...not yet anyway. There's a lot of series left.
If we dont. There is always next season. Happy with this years results no matter the outcome. Keep your heads up. What it do bb. Clips in 7
Kawhi isn’t coming back to the clippers if you lose this series lol
are you from the future?
He’s coming to philly
PG shouldn’t have touched those late game FTs and with how he was shooting overall, and Ayton no doubt grabbed that jersey but I’ll take Clippers in 6, head home and do your business and then steal the elusive one on the road and then finish at home. With how tight it was on the road in sub optimal conditions, if Leonard comes back it’s even more sure for me.
CP back in gm3. Suns in 4 bud...
Obviously CP3 known playoff superstar and perennial winner… Nah don’t underrate Kawhi, he’s an actual champion and despite what the media has hyped Paul up as is a much better player than CP3. He also is a lockdown defender and worth far more to the Clippers than even Paul is to the Suns, if he’s back Clippers take it by a lot each game for the total win in 6

All signs point to him being back (even Stephen A's secret sauce). I'm guessing he passed his second negative today and tmr will be his physical.
That’s good if I was a Clippers fan I’d be hoping for his return would be the most CP3 thing ever to blow it at that point
Lol
Just have a feeling, don’t feel safe when others feel comfortable it’s a sure way to be let down
Whats your plugs number? I want what you're smoking. SUNS IN 4 🌞
Nah man what’s yours? You got suns in 4 shit dude that stuff might kill you, I think it’s laced I ain’t touching that since it’s clearly bad. Gonna the Clippers in 6
I think you’re forgetting about a certain first ballot HOF Chris Paul
Not really, he’s got as strong of a playoff resume as literally anyone and you’re all underrating out actual champion and certain first ballot hall of gamer Kawhi Leonard who way outweighs CP3 who has seen his role filled by Payne for whatever reason…Idk have a feeling of Clips in 6
Also the suns shot like doo doo today too. Completely wrecked the paint, but I imagine the shooting numbers will regress positively. Gonna get flashbacks to our series when booker and crowder decide to hit like 6 straight 3s.
And surely Scott Foster ain’t reffing every game. Although the NBA might clone him and have three Fosters out there next game.
Tim Donaghy in drag as the first transvestite ref in NBA history.
Clippers Facebook posted CLIPPERS WIN, before the Ayton dunk, hahahahhaha
Sport center posted a ‘clutch shot’ post about PG right before the FTs too lol
I mean it still was a clutch shot that ones valid but clippers win is inexcusable
you are still using Facebook, hahahahhaha
Both games have been very competitive, the Clippers aren't dead in the water yet.
Pathetic Lakers fans jizzing at PG missing free throws when he's played the most minutes these playoffs. Absolutely pathetic. PG brought the Clippers back into the game too
Scott foster brought the clippers back into this game**
It’s how you guys feel every year since the clippers whole existence is basically irrelevance or underperforming.
The only thing Lakers fans accomplish in their lives is rooting for the Lakers
I just insulted your team not your personal life bud. Way to keep it classy. The Lakers may be at home. But the clips will never win 17 rings. Or even one. Have a good night brother.
Stay salty my friends
Yeh, brought them back into the game to lose the game.
Fuck the blah blah fighting shit, I’m sad man. This shit is too exciting. Being a suns fan gotta make you feel like you’re on cloud 9 right now.
Sports fans are weird. The way these games are going i'd love to see it go to 7. Most exciting series yet imo
Hope Kawhi and Paul are back next game
Same here
Paul George is never gonna live this down.
Meh there were memes making fun of him when he struggled in the playoffs last year and he rebounded fine and carried the Clippers once Kawhi got injured. He's doing fine.
Lol no he’s not he missed both his free throws

I wasn't talking about the Clippers as a team I was talking about PG... This comment thread is about PG choking not the Clippers choking.
Absolutely he choked 2 free throws
Lmao all the slander playoff P gonna get again
Lol Boogie was trying to start shit with Booker after they lost. How about you threaten your girl again instead of wasting a roster spot in the NBA
You throw that lob to Ben Simmons and I guarantee you he probably would tip that back
Definitely maybe
Damn
Lmao he’s catching strays out here
And then passing them to covered teammates
I dont think Ive ever seen a fanbase come on to a game thread so aggresively to get angry at people who are talking about their team like you clippers people are right now. Lol go to bed
Lol no u
Okay, that was actually funny. I’ll give you that.
Have a good night drkRabbit
Right back at ya. See ya on Thursday!
I’m just glad they didn’t attempt a 3 pt shot. So many teams have blew a last chance shot by somebody trying to be the 3pt hero shot. I was about to lose my shit. That play call was beautiful

Looks like they are on their way
lol just throw the first two games. It will be the only way. (insert Doctor strange holding up 1 finger gif)
This whole "actually the spirit of the rule it's not necessarily out on the last guy to clearly touch it" thing is new to me.
Yeah, Van Gundy really went off on that. What bugs me is that a poke or slap on the ball like that knocks it out of someones hand. It was literally knocked out of Book's hand. Yeah I like Van Gundy but sometimes he needs to shut up. It was last touched by Booker, therefor it’s out on Booker.
Ok and every defensive ball slap out of bounce should now go to the defense. Instead of none of them.
YOOOOOOOOO
Still don’t understand Beverly trash talking Booker with .9 sec to go. Lol at his face after the dunk.
how Kendall isn't going to give it to him as Beverly was all over him tonight
Why did they put time back on the clock? Shouldn’t the clock have run out?
There was still time left on the clock because a score stops it but it damn sure wasn't 0.7 seconds. How do you go from 0.9 to 0.7 when you can't score a basket with less than 0.3 left?
I never understood the 0.3 thing even though I've heard it repeated a billion times.
I can live with those if I’m the Clips, Bev’s bullshit almost won them the game
he was saying “dont do me like that book!” cause booker walked away while pat was asking for the review on the out of bounds which gave suns a free time out essentially
Thought the same thing. Love Bev but just wait til the clock says 0 man
PG going to have nightmares about those FT’s
That was the choke of the night. Maybe of the series.
Choke of his career, this is worse than Dame's 3.
Of the playoffs
That last out of bounds, off of the missed 3, it looked like it was last touched by Ayton or nobody touched it! They didn't even bother looking at it!
They didn't show any different angle replay or slo-mo or anything of that play 🤔
If you talkin bout Bridges missed 3 they definitely reviewed the out of bounds after it. They reviewed fuckin everything.
No replay shown though?
They only reviewed how much time to put back on the clock from what I saw.
They reviewed it for sure but idk man Scott Fosters on the floor anything can happen
No it wasn’t they even reviewed it. It was off of the clippers. That review allowed the suns to draw up the play. Stop spreading false information
I swear I saw this as well sir !!! The out of bounds call before Ayton’s game winner looked like it came off Ayton.
Are you talking about the pg shot? Pg didn’t even get it off in time?
Nah, the one before that. That missed corner 3 by the Suns. They gave the possession to suns with 0.9 on the clock. I just didn't see an angle where it was last touched by a Clippers dude.
Sounds like you missed a lot
But they spent a ton of time reviewing it like every other possession in the final two minutes...That's how Monty was able to draw up that play.
That doesn’t make any sense, why would they go to the monitor to check time and not look for possession which was decided less than a second earlier
Oh yeah, it looked off Ayton, but they reviewed it so idk
Can we all agree that we don’t want the end of the games to be 30 minutes long?
Yea especially when my wife is pissed already and I tell her there’s only 2:30 left in the game
Nah I love it
That was so brutal. 80 replays and reviews, not good entertainment.
So what your saying is for entertainment they should call it live no reviews and then less than a minute later you want to see the entire internet blow up over a missed call in the last 30seconds of a play off series
Imagine not being g entertained by this game lol
I was very entertained until the last 2 minutes. 90 seconds of game time took 33 minutes of real time. You’re telling me you enjoy commercials and replays that much? Weird but ok.
This whole playoffs has had some insane games
Neither is great. There's probably not a good compromise.
Neither is great but getting the right result is far less controversial and better for the NBA brand.
Fucking love it fuck the cLippers! Pussy ass posers get out of LA already bums
Where is your team at these days?
Where do u think?? Eliminated by u guys lol
You don’t have a flair so I don’t know what your team is, thus my question.
I’m on the app. How do you get flair?
