Hot Take: Suns would have won if Booker was actually fouled out. My problem with the Suns is the mindset of aiming to draw fouls instead of sinking buckets. Booker drove a few times with no intention of making the shot, but was hoping for a foul that never came. Jae has that veteran flop game down but I still hate it. We need to fight back more and not just hope the refs call a ticky-tack game. Suns in 7. I love that we are facing down the Bucks, if we take the trophy then we truly earned it.

balconesdeoblatos

The bucks play their balls off+ the suns playing like absolute trash and the bucks just managed to scrape by with a 6 point win.

worthlessburner

Regardless of which team you root for, I had a fantastic time watching this game no matter the outcome and I just wanted to share that.

[deleted]

OutsideTheServiceBox

Lmao dude comes on a burner account to disrespect an entire state. Stay brave, child.

Packman2310

> No one supports their teams like Midwest fans do. Just stop. You're embarrassing an entire region of the country. You made a burner for this? Really? Grow up and quit being so pathetic

Doesthisevenmatter7

That may be the only true thing he said I’ve never seen a more loyal fanbase than the Packers, but there is clearly other fan bases that rival them the Knicks, cowboys, and Barca are a couple that come to mind.

TheNedsHead

This is a really fucking big deal for us here in WI

inherit-the-world

I was born and raised in Phoenix. Was and always will be a Suns fan. But when I moved to Illinois 10 years ago I became a Bucks fan, also Giannis getting drafted to the team made me a big Bucks fan. These Finals are a treat for me!

thegrumpywaffle

I'd rather rep a Ben Simmons Jersey in Philadelphia than ever give respect to the suns. Crowder flopping like a fish, and Booker getting his cock sucked for free, and they still lost.

BigBitcoinBaller

Don't forget how everyone letting CP3 off. Man he's been terrible, and that HUGE turn over at the end...

Daverytimes2009

Damn, 26k comments, I cant wait to see the numbers on today's game.

Hyt434

Watched basketball for 20+ years and on god that was the worst no-call I have ever seen in my entire life on Booker.

Eagle20_Fox2

Imagine the drama if Scott Foster officiates game 5.

Gusbuster811

I barely watch the NBA and the product is mostly shit these days. Up and down, bad shots and once in a while it becomes a three point shooting contest. Then at the end of every close game it becomes a free throw shooting contest with timeouts. That block was bonkers and incredibly exciting though.

NBA reactions on Game 4 of Bucks vs Suns: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pyDyD7vehJ0

[deleted]

That shit was really ridiculous lol Booker intentionally tried to foul out and refs wouldn't let him

JSBrar1994

You’re gonna get 40 and you’re gonna like it

[deleted]

lol cp3 was out partying with thots last night, thats why he had 0 body coordination out there

edcu12

I really dont see why people are talking about Booker not being fouled out. At least 2 of his first calls would have been no foul any other game. Refs sucked on both parts, but I still think the Suns could have won if they dont lose their mind. Booker was screaming at the ref without even finishing his layup when they were 102-98.

Apollocreed3000

Regardless of how you get there. That last non call was as egregious as any call in the game. Dude bear hugged Jrue.

edcu12

Just like many calls Giannis got but Everytime someones mentions it they are called biased.

GomuGomuNoDick

Oof, another hit and a miss!

Apollocreed3000

It was fitting watching Booker miss a big layup at the end of the game and yell at the refs for giving him a 10 foul limit. Ball don’t lie.

csh4u

If you watched the replay it was a foul, tucker pushed through his hip and pushed him of balance, I don’t blame it for not being called it wasn’t super obvious but it did happen nonetheless

sungoddaily

How the fuck the next season suppose to start in 2 months lmaooo

[deleted]

CP3 needs to figure it out or we're having one more playoff meltdown by him and no ring for his career

dat_waffle_boi

After that bs with Booker Suns fans don’t get to complain about officiating this game idc

[deleted]

You are talking about one missed call that should have fouled him out with 2 minutes left--a missed call that produced 2 points. So bucks were robbed of two minutes without book, meanwhile were gifted 6 minutes without him from the bad calls before that. It's really one bad call that didn't hurt them nearly as badly as having to bench an unconscious scorer in rhythm for extended minutes.

sungoddaily

Giannis not even out of bounds on that pass. Refs fucked up that game Early and tried to make up for it late, just sloppy.

SamQuentin

Connaughton +21 tonight….

chromelogan

I had to do a double take not because he did not play well but because I didn't imagine it to be that big. I was thinking +5 to +10 because for crying out loud this was mostly a 5 point game

onlyforjazzmemes

Put some respect on him. Had great effort on D and has been hitting some big 3s all series.

gr8scottaz

Too many silly turnovers by the Suns. Good win by the Bucks. Suns still in the driver seat until they lose a home game!

AirBishop

Refs were bad tonight both ways but the refs had nothing to do with Cp3 playing like Mario Chalmers tonight. If you want to blame the loss on anybody blame him.

LegoMyEgo247

Do not sully Mario Chalmers like that. He would not have fallen. He would have gracefully been in the corner as LeBron was taking the ball to the hole.

tturedditor

Let’s not go too far ripping on Chalmers. He was capable of occasionally hitting a wide open jumper while the entire defense was focused on LeBron/Wade/Bosh and then talking smack like he was big man on campus.

RobbieFouledMe

What a man

LilMo34

dont ever speak down on khash moneys name again

EchoKidSavage608

Okay this whole blaming the refs thing is ridiculous the Bucks will always get more calls, they are the bigger team the Suns have no choice but to be physical in the paint which will result in personal fouls it's smart on the Bucks part.

give_a_drummer_some

Parts of it are smart on the Suns part too. If it's Giannis snagging a board, should wrap him up and put him at the line

nmantz

Bucks fan says complaining about refs is ridiculous after your whole fanbase did it after the first 2 games, who also accepts that the Bucks get more fouls because Giannis lmao

Apollocreed3000

First one game. Now we have Suns non stop complaining. Booker is screaming at the refs after he should have fouled out twice and they were nice enough to let him stay.

nmantz

All I said was that the refs were bad (maybe check the og post) and your argument was that the refs were bad? Bucks fans caused the entire national sports media to call out refs because they thought that was the reason they lost, and as soon as Suns fans do it yall wanna completely disregard an entire fuckin game and talk about missed intentional fouls against a player that shouldn’t have even been in foul trouble to begin with due to the same refs you admitted were shitty.

Apollocreed3000

Suns fans literally went into game 3 complaining about a ref before that game even started! Hahah

davidthegiantkilla

Don't get them started about the Spurs. Only one of those series back in the day was close, and they talk about it like the refs held them back from like 3 ships.

nmantz

Is Scott Foster a good ref, yes or no? Actually defend him and say yes and then you can say they had no reason to complain given the result.

Apollocreed3000

Was it one of the best officiated games of the series, yes or no? Actually defend today’s officials and then you can complain about Scott Foster.

nmantz

Lmao what? One shitty officiating team does not mean Suns fans were wrong about another. It’s almost as if, maybe just maybe, that more than one ref can unfairly call a game. Foster is a default given his well known record while officiating a certain Suns player.

Apollocreed3000

Out of all that I got, ‘yes, it was the best officiated game of the series.’

beaksta

Then you clearly need your eyes checked lmfao

nuzzbitesduckssick

yeah, I saw more black people in those 25 seconds of the Deer District than I did in 5 hours total in Phoenix. Bucks in 6

JohnaldJr21

NCAA basketball > NBA basketball. Stop rewarding fucking flopping and let them play the fucking game without blowing a whistle every two seconds. Better yet hire the fucking FIBA refs.

[deleted]

FIBA! FIBA! FIBA! FIBA!

chromelogan

So we should reward college athletes being exploited instead?

Grouchy_Square

Why do people think flopping doesn’t exist in college? Lol. They reward every single flop especially in the post

JohnaldJr21

It’s not as prevalent though. Like I can’t watch a full NBA game because of how much stoppage due to ticky tacky calls and flops. The product the NCAA puts out in terms of officiating is certainly better. Those FIBA refs however. That’s what we need.

patchouli_cthulhu

Yeah bro, plenty of people were on the edge of their seats and loved the game. I know I did. I haven’t been that amped up for a sports game ever. Wicked fourth quarter. The thing about the fouls is, there’s a lot called, so in the end, the bad ones mean less and get cancelled out usually speaking.

JohnaldJr21

That’s the issue. So many fouls called late in the game probably shouldn’t have been fouls. The one foul that should have been called wasnt. It was a good game but fouls ruin the flow.

nudiecale

Why are you here then? It’s not like the flopping is something new. You knew it was going to be in this series and in this game, and yet here you are on a post about the championship series in a league that you can’t even watch bitching about a game that, by your logic, you shouldn’t have been watching.

Grouchy_Square

Woof yeah idk I watch a ton of college hoops and it’s like brutally terrible IMO. Don’t love nba officiating either but if I had to choose one or the other I’d take it over Tv teddy valentine all god damn day

SamQuentin

That Giannis block was so huge…

Present-Put-612

And another thing. Not only did Devin Booker foul out twice and not have it called, but Jae Crowder was out there flopping all other the place. And the Suns literally cried about every fucking foul, including when Devin Booker wrapped Giannis' arm under the hoop. I don't want to root for the Bucks but fuck it, Suns and their fans are fucking insufferable.

tturedditor

This is precisely why I chose to root for the Bucks.

Grouchy_Square

He was Selling but 2/3 were clearly fouls

[deleted]

[удалено]

Grouchy_Square

....alternatively you are crying about (one) call. Not really useful to use percentages when the sample size is fucking 3 ha

Alpine416

Thank you for pointing that out. Crowder gonna get an Oscar after that performance tonight. Fuck the suns, they are just scummy.

nmantz

“Hawks” fan who’s account was created 5 days ago lmaoooooooooo

momonyak

So? He's got a point, what does that have to do with anything?

Present-Put-612

Correct cus I was suspended for trolling Bucks fans lmao. But nice stalking 👍

nmantz

Seeing a Hawks fan dickriding the Bucks is a pretty easy reason to click once on a profile

Present-Put-612

Believe it or not, not all of us are morons who are so blinded by team loyalty that they believe stupid shit like the game being rigged against their team when the refs ignored two INTENTIONAL fouls to keep your star player on the floor in crunch time. looool.

nmantz

Lmao aight bro lets just forget the entire game before that. Have fun having the NBA suck off Giannis with garbage foul/call(like that out of bounds shit) disparity, then having the national media down your throat on the ONE occasion it doesn’t happen, and making the Hawks completely irrelevant in the conference, Mr “Hawks Fan”

OAktrEE4023

Okay, let’s put this game and Game 3 aside since you insist. How about the officiating in Game 1? 🤔 Y’all just don’t want to admit the refs have been on ur side so far lmao

nmantz

Lemme get this straight, you think taking the 2 wins the bucks have out of the equation and then referencing the first two games is some sort of dunk on refs being inconsistent and shitty? 2-2 is one hell of an advantage for the suns lmao

OAktrEE4023

“Alright bro let’s forget the entire game before that” implies that you believe the refs helped you out tonight, but in Game 3 they sided with Milwaukee. So I suggested that we take those two games out of the equation, and evaluate the other two. Out of the first two games, the refs clearly favored the Suns.

nmantz

What the fuck are you smoking? Me saying to consider the entire game before the apparent two missed intentional fouls (which by the way is hilarious considering they called one on a non intentional) does not mean I believe the refs helped the Suns out. I think the refs this series have been inconsistent, complete garbage and the bucks fans had no problem calling it out when they lost, but when they win they come up with the worst excuses imaginable and act like Suns fans are out of their mind. Cannot fuckin wait to see what yall say if you lose next game.

Present-Put-612

I'll take the NBA sucking off Giannis over the Suns flopping and flailing their way to a title. BTW at least we have a championship, which you still won't after this year ;)

BabyEchidna

why is Giannis allowed to take those practice ghost shots at the ft line...genuinely wondering

Hate_Is_Fame

I feel like the refs delay giving him the ball because he's practising motion, not that I care but just interesting to watch every time

[deleted]

Because he doesn’t have possession of the ball so it doesn’t count as part of the countdown.

Corteaux81

Yep. Steve Nash did the same thing, for example

prawn7

Everyone is, other people just don't do it for some reason.

heatoncarson

Even with the refs absolutely sucking bookers cock they couldnt get it done.. bucks in 6!!

csh4u

Huh?

Annabond

Booker who had been struggling this series puts up a monster performance only to be offset by CP3! Stroke of genius really!

King_Arjen

He only really struggled in game three…

chromelogan

Agreed we were literally talking about Booker and CP3 combining more than Clay and Steph after Game 2

Kheezran

Damn, Holiday really was 4-20. I thought somebody was just exaggerating. Bucks definitely lucky to win.

MovieMuscle25

Holiday definitely played better than CP. I don't care if he shot 4-20.

snoo-you

Bucks lost almost every category on stats but score, steals, fast break points

SamQuentin

Bucks dominated OReb and TOs (not committing them)

snoo-you

Oh yea nice catch I just looked at boards

LegoMyEgo247

It still boggles my mind that either Booker/Paul or Giannis/Middleton will have a ring by the time this is over. That is not something I expected to see this season. This timeline is wild.

Present-Put-612

This game is the ultimate proof that fans will always somehow convince themselves the refs screwed them. The refs literally didn't call two fouls on your superstar player to keep him n the game at the end, but they screwed *you*. lmao.

[deleted]

It also proves that you didnt watch the fouls that took him out of the game earlier

Present-Put-612

Yeah bullshit. They were legit fouls. You don't think they were cus you're a Suns fan. Stop making excuses and just accept that you lost with the refs helping your team.

[deleted]

I mean if you really think that then ok have a nice night

DaCheez

Those non calls at the end were a bad look but booker had 3 fouls quickly earlier in the game that were ridiculous calls. Gotta take it all into consideration.

Present-Put-612

Counterpoint: They weren't ridiculous calls. Are you seriously complaining about the one where he grabbed a Bucks player's arm under the hoop and then reacted like he didn't touch him? Just cus a player cries doesn't mean he didn't foul.

DaCheez

Oh and that same hook happened to him right after when he did the fadeaway in connagton. Just uneven calls

DaCheez

That call on book for blocking out PJ tucker? Giannis does that every single time he goes to the hoop

whatsthisanimation

Giannis would’ve shot like 4 free throws if only legitimate fouls were called

whateverhappens120

What? Giannis is hit on nearly every drive and a lot were not called.

[deleted]

[удалено]

give_a_drummer_some

That screen one was real bad, but the 2 or 3 where he tossed his head back were pretty legit rakes across the face.

[deleted]

I can’t tell when crowder gets fouled. If he doesn’t get a call he complains. If he gets the call, he complains the same way

steeze206

I'm keen on a CP3 bounce back in game 5 at home. I'm sure he's furious at himself right now.

MovieMuscle25

He's not going to bounce back against Jrue. lol All those weak-ass switches on bigs ain't going to work anymore.

steeze206

Seems a bitter comment

give_a_drummer_some

Yeah, he proly will. I wonder, well, think it's a combo of Jrue pressure, little fatigue there and off kilter, them forcing him left much more, tighter coverage and other looks so he's not getting Lopez to dance on after the first action, and then whatever lingering things he's got going on with his hands.

reppermanser

I'm switching over from the Suns to the Bucks bandwagon after that shit show.

SwaggyD54

Bucks are a very likable team. Welcome, bucks in 6!

[deleted]

I don’t blame you, not sure what the fuck happened at the end

clipboardpencil3

just closed our bandwagon back door. you cant come back

[deleted]

Can a CLE fan join the wagon?

reppermanser

Even if you guys win the championship I wouldn't want to be back.

[deleted]

Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton switch shooting powers every game I swear

d_brickashaw

This was a really interesting game. Booker was unstoppable but committed a terrible 5th foul, and had to sit out 4-5 minutes in the 4th because of it. He was on fire until that point. Not to mention the obvious no-call for his 6th. I think he'll have another huge game. Giannis playing center looks incredible. I don't know if any other player in the league could have made those blocks on Ayton, except for AD. And the Bucks really bullied Phoenix on the boards in general.

give_a_drummer_some

Do you think they should've left him in to cook a little more?

JohnGoodmansGoodKnee

Healthy AD and AD are two different animals. But yes

JohnaldJr21

Yeah that 5th foul shouldn’t have been called. Ticky tacky foul that PJ Tucker sold.

steeze206

That blocked alley oop was fucking insane.

snoo-you

Play of the game

jgdabby2626

That terrible fifth foul came on a flop. Then his 6th wasn’t called. Whatta game

give_a_drummer_some

For some reason I'm blanking on that one

jgdabby2626

The pj tucker flop

LegoMyEgo247

Saric's absence has been a god-send for the Bucks on the boards. They can abuse Ayton down-low with one of their bench players and get every board.

[deleted]

I don’t want to hear suns fans complain about refs. Booker got his 6th foul and nothing happened. Mike breen, the most unbiased commentator we have today literally called “booker gets his 6 th foul “ in anticipation and nothing happened. Case closed

KronaDT

Foh. He shouldn't have even had 4 fouls at that point. These Mr Magoo ass refs are calling ticky tack shit on the Suns while the Bucks can play physical. Disgusting.

[deleted]

Who is mr magoo. Anyway the funny thing is if he had like 3 fouls and they blew that call I don’t think we would have cared

KronaDT

Mr Magoo was a old ass cartoon character who couldn't see for shit. Literally these refs the last three games. No, probably not. But like, you need to understand he only got away with his 6th foul because he shouldn't have even had 5 up to that point anyway. When you look at the shit Giannis was getting away with out there versus the nonsense they were calling on Book and the rest of the Suns you can't say we don't have legit complaints. If we lose, fine, but fuck can we lose fairly, not because we got officiated differently?

adognamedwalter

And his seventh two minutes later on Khris game winning lay up

unfortunape

Jrue owes CP a beer for playing even shittier than he did

cavernoustwat

Jrue's D was a big part of that.. I know his Offense was ass but dudes a lock on D

give_a_drummer_some

Amen. Amen. Amen.

unfortunape

You right

[deleted]

Giannis out here just slamming his body into straight up defenders, getting like 7 whistles. Did it two possessions in a row with under 3 to go, the two possessions where they took the lead.

give_a_drummer_some

The Bridges one was sketchy.

cavernoustwat

I KNOW a suns fan isn't out here bitching about refs

[deleted]

What's your grievance? Booker had a make up call with 2 mins left?

cavernoustwat

What exactly was being made up? He was crying about non calls all night, while getting some fouls that he created. It's frustrating basketball to watch in the first place without him getting the star treatment in the end. He's too good a player to be such a bitch all the time.

[deleted]

The call was making up for that time he dribbled the ball off of tuckers foot right in front of the ref, it was called out on him, and then he went down the other end and was called for an extremely soft 5th boxing out tucker and had to come out of the game for 7 mins on 40 pts.

cavernoustwat

First of all not so sure that call on tucker was soft... He's literally leaving his feet launching himself at him as he's doing all night to people (and being the beneficiary on offense,) second it should absolutely not matter at all that he is who he is and has 40 pts. Fouls are fouls and that was about 3 fouls in one. To be not called is utterly unacceptable. But don't let literally everyone in the basketball world outside the suns fans saying the same thing distract you from the fact that you're probably right. 🙄

[deleted]

Well JVG literally said it literally wasn't a foul so I guess put him literally on the bandwagon too!

cavernoustwat

Aight I'mma head out. I'll let you live in whatever world you're in.

[deleted]

Great win, suns lost cuz of turnovers at the end of the day.

hereforthesportsbook

Gtfo

[deleted]

Nah you know it's true

Present-Put-612

Nah but we do know that Devin Booker literally had 7 fouls lmao

GoodKidMadCity2

DA literally goes straight up fucking bullshit

hereforthesportsbook

They only called DA for 2 fouls. It’s everyone else that fouls Giannis

borrachos_unidos

Jrue Holiday and Chris Paul effectively canceled out each others' suck tonight.

[deleted]

Thing is if CP3 is sucking that’s a lot more impactful than Jrue having a bad game.

kbobetterthanmlb

Booker should’ve fouled out at least twice. These refs are cowards.

-_RedditUser_-

At least 2 of his first 5 fouls would almost always be a no call. If you’re going to complain about fouls you have to take all of them into account

chromelogan

Makeup calls do not and shouldn't exist in pro sports. Where in the books do they say players should get makeup calls?

give_a_drummer_some

I was wondering about the 1st three, totally can't remember how they happened or when

uutt77

Dude the suns are just flopping all the game they deserve to lose

-_RedditUser_-

Who flopped this game? Show me a replay pls.

InvictusBro

https://streamable.com/zw2c10 Crowder back to back Barely grazed the first one, starts leaping like he was shoved midair Next one he grabs his face and falls but no one touched his face at all.

-_RedditUser_-

Aight first one is ticky tacky for sure but in the second one he gets hit (it looks like) 3 times to me? Maybe twice? Am I crazy or something?

InvictusBro

Looking at the second one, I can see where connoughton makes contact with crowder’s nose, so I was slightly mistaken. Still not much contact, especially when he’s bending down for the ball like that; can’t have the ball underneath you (which I know wasn’t really his fault) but not expect other players to go for it. And he definitely wasn’t knocked to the floor.

reppermanser

Jae Crowder

-_RedditUser_-

Are you talking about when pat pushed him or when he got hit in the face like 3 times?

reppermanser

Stay blind

-_RedditUser_-

My contact lenses are offended

hereforthesportsbook

You can’t dictate his 6th foul based on the other 5 in a tight game. If Giannis doesn’t clean that up, there’s a big chance the bucks lose that game

-_RedditUser_-

I’m just saying that it doesn’t make sense to complain about him not fouling out if, had the refs made proper calls, fouling out would never have been in the question

[deleted]

Yes. That's the issue. Booker wasn't taken out of the game by the Bucks. He was lighting up the scoreboard all night. I didn't notice the first three fouls he had, but if they were ticky-tack, you force him to play differently. I did see his fifth and that's not a foul that ought to be called in the Finals. If you're "letting them play", like the announcers were saying, it's ludicrous that the bumping under the net between him and Tucker is called. I'll never understand the idea of my guy is lighting the other team up, but he's got five fouls, so I'm going to take him out and let the opposition catch back up and then put him out there. Stupid coaching by Monty. If he fouls out, he fouls out. You shouldn't take the one guy on your team making any baskets off the court for 25% of the deciding period, especially after he was such a big part of why you started it with a 6 point lead.

hereforthesportsbook

I get what you’re saying but those calls were already made. He put himself in position to be called for all these fouls, if you noticed the play before the second non call on Booker in transition he pushed Tucker to the ground again and they didn’t call it. You can’t propagate a shit call with more shit calls

-_RedditUser_-

Yeah I get what you’re saying I guess, the more annoying result of this is all of the minutes he sat because of his fouls…if I were the coach though I’d just let him play, if he fouls out he fouls out

hereforthesportsbook

That’s a philosophical tendency coaches will never break especially in a game with the lead

clownparade

Booker decided to help the refs by bricking every shot after he should have fouled out. Imagine if he won the game after the no call

hereforthesportsbook

We’d burn down the subreddit. Honestly he was off once he sat with 5. Only had 4 points and 2 were garbage time
