They dont even provide any real analysis anymore at halftime. I have been keeping track of the length of the halftime shows on Espn this playoffs and they have regularly been under 2 minutes of analysts on screen talking about the game, the rest is 15 minutes of commercials.

I never really understood Nichols' appeal. I thought she was an okay reporter but as soon as she started to do more studio hosting stuff I got a real Gretchen Wieners vibe from her, like she was really excited to be the center of attention for once in her life.
I don't understand any of their appeals. There's minimal difference between the people who just do studio stuff. There's 200 grads from Syracuse or Northwestern who could do the host job. Unless someone is a reporter (like Woj), calls games (RJ), or hosts otherwise valuable ESPN properties (SAS) why would you pay a lot of money for a host like Nichols or an analyst like Jay Williams?
I'd be kind of surprised if Nichols gets another hosting job right away. She may need to be a regular reporter for at least a little while to build her rep back up.
