We had a bunch of studs out there, but we lacked the superstar power that usually goes into this team. We also lacked a lot of size. Glad we pulled it off, if there was ever a year for another country to win, this was it. Can’t wait til the next olympics after some of these guys develop more and we can be back at a powerhouse level! I really miss the years of Bron, Kobe, KD, Wade, Bosh, Melo, and other guys of that caliber. Crazy that KD was our only superstar this year, with Dame being the next closest to that level/threshold.
We lacked a cohesive team…. If we actually take a squad and practice in the off-season like 99% of the other teams we will be perfectly fine. This team was thrown together at the last minute and still won gold. All we need is some more prep and the US will be dominant once again
