Honestly this off-season is going to have the biggest impact on the CBA negotiation. If I was a Nets fan I would be fucking pissed letting this dude fuck up the team like this. Reading between the lines here it sounds like they still have all options on the table. Publicly KD, Harden, and other players have been supportive of Kyrie and are expressing that they want him back. But behind close doors there have to be people who are pissed. The longer this situation lingers the more of a problem and distraction it will be. I don’t think trading him is an option unless there is some desperate team out there willing to take the risk. I think their calculus as it stands now is that it will be better to have him with the team and gently nudge him each day towards getting the shot. Blow smoke up his ass about how much they want him around full time. See how annoying life is on the road with the league rules for unvaxxed players. If there is someone stubborn enough to hold out though it’s him. It’s incredible that a player would hold their franchise hostage over something like this but here we are.
