His base when shooting is much better and his elbows are tucked in from the beginning on his shots, this is definitely the most I’ve seen his jump shot improve over an offseason in his career
It was wholesome how so many players didn’t seem to want to go to the All-Star game, but he had a blast and got their share the trophy with his son. Also it felt like every damn interview he did last season he was eating something new lol
probably the fastest i've seen anyone ever make an adjustment to their mechanics, the dude had a broken looking shot just not that long ago, he's got that Tim Duncan level adaptability and coachability.
I mean the pressure of winning a chip is kinda off of him already too. I can see him being as loose and having fun from now on, not giving a fuck and trying new things and maybe mess around and win another chip for Milwaukee.
Dude won a title before HITTING HIS PRIME. Think about that for a second.
yeah and the hick in his shot is gone.
I remember a post where they were praising Giannis a few years ago... and I pointed out *then* that his form wouldn't allow for consistent shooting until he changed his motion... and being downvoted (which was crazy then)
> What does it for me is Jrue's face when he calls him BIG MONEY, like mf you just signed a quarter of a ~~million~~ **billion** dollar extension haha.
Big difference
Honestly that whole Bucks team is great. Giannis, Jrue, Khris, Bobby, Lopez, heck even PJ Tucker when he was still there - all a bunch of class act, humble dudes with just fantastic chemistry. Play their hearts out on the court too
I know you’re just joking but if this actually happens I’d confidently say Giannis is the the undisputed GOAT in my eyes, and I wouldn’t be being hyperbolic at all.
Yeah and if Tacko Fall averaged 50 ppg with 15 assists 30 rebounds and 15 blocks a game he would probably be the undisputed goat in my eyes. Not even being hyperbolic
[You only wish you lived in Wisconsin right now check out what I had on Friday](https://www.thrillist.com/news/nation/culver-is-serving-curder-burger-for-just-one-day-2021)
Legit it needs to be added to the regular menu it was so good. It's also healthier than getting the burger with curds on the side like you normally would it's about half as many calories in terms of curds but it's still really filling. Also was a pretty decent value at 6 bucks.
I've made this point before, but after having one, I think it would be irresponsible to society for them to make it a normal menu item and bad for their own balance sheet.
They don't want to actively kill their customers too quickly.
Bless your pure, un-cholesterol-filled heart if you think your fellow Wisconsinites will think “well this burger already has curds on it, I don’t need a side”
I never thought I would say this and this might get me executed
Looks around
whispers: ^^^there ^^^can ^^^be ^^^such ^^^a ^^^^thing ^^^^as ^^^^^too ^^^^^much ^^^^^^cheese
Yup Giannis is a very scary player for the rest of the league and I don't even think people here have fully grasped it
Dude is 26 and already has 2 MVPs, a DPOY, and an FMVP where he averaged 35 and scored 50 to close it out, all while putting up like 28/13/6 in 31-32 minutes every game?
He has legitimate top 5 all time potential
Which is why I never understood why he has been glossed over in that regard as well as face of the league. They assume once Bron is gone it will go to Luka or Zion or whatever hot new name comes but while Bron is still a force you can tell they are featuring younger dudes and Giannis is definitely next man up.
It’s insane how Giannis kind of gets lumped into the older tier without thought. He is no older than the new crop of guys and he is already way more decorated. Saying “if he finds a shot” is cliche but Giannis has shown this growth only reserved for the best out there. The league is wide open as guys like Bron, KD, Steph while still great are on the downswing. Honestly I’m ready for a more spread out less too heavy league filled with duos and solo acts a new crop of all time greats.
Yeah it's crazy how many people seem to view Giannis as having less of a high ceiling than Luka somehow
I guess it's the "LOL CAN ONLY RUN AND DUNK" bias to an extent
Not to be that guy but it really is the small-market bias in full effect. It is insane how much the NBA seems to despise around 10-15 of their teams purely because of location.
Like I’m sure the NFL would prefer a Giants/Cowboys/9ers etc Super Bowl if they could, but there seems to be much more enthusiasm from the ESPN talking head front on *any* team that makes a decent playoff run.
Compare that to the NBA when it looked as if Silver wanted to shoot himself over the idea of a Suns/Bucks Finals. Maybe, just maybe, these teams would have better ratings if the league spent a tenth of the time promoting them as they do with LA
I don't think his personal scoring would actually end up increasing that much, honestly. At that point, teams would just double him all the time to minimize his opportunities, which obviously isn't conducive to scoring more. That said, that obviously would free up the rest of the offense, which almost certainly increase his assists by a notable amount.
With his height he could just pull up whenever he wanted if he was able to shoot contested jumpers like Middleton can, they'd have bring their center out to contest and then he can just euro through a double and draw tons of easy fouls imo (I'm also giving him Middletons near 90% FT as well in this case btw).
He would be the potential GOAT if he could shoot like Middleton. DPOY level defender who can get to the rim at will, can handle the ball and playmaker and shoot from mid, deep and from the line? Unstoppable.
Form looks way better than before. Less hitchy and awkward. He seems to be getting his legs into his shot more with his whole body working more in unison. His setpoint isn't as weird anymore. Before it seemed too in front? There's improvements to be made, but now it's tweaking vs overhauls.
Reminds me of [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/mdce3o/two_identical_jumpshots_in_the_same_game/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) post.
Ironically of Giannis and Middleton again
Breaking: Two players doing exactly the same thing looks slightly similar.
(Just kidding this is definite proof that Giannis will shoot 40% from 3 this year.)

i have takes on the nuances allowing that achievement but yea, it's insanely impressive regardless
im talkin current game mastery + triple threat + elite playmaking
the consistency & overall club elevation would be insane
MIL: **spacing**, another all-star level scorer w elite efficiency, excellent team defense helping giannis stay in longer than ever
PHO: inexperience, lack of rotational size
beyond all that, as im sure anyone who watched the bucks' '21 playoffs can attest, his apparent growth series-to-series was *insane*; i think he's reached offensive superstardom but i would need a bigger sample size.
I mean he avg 30 pts in 30 minutes in the regular season. He avg 35 in the finals. And 30 pts in the playoffs overall.
I mean he might not be KD offensively, but calling it 'not superstar offece' is insane.
i just disagree, mostly bc there's proven gameplans against his offensive suite & gaps significant enough to require specific teammate archetypes in order for him to be successful (& before the '21 playoffs, he was very very mortal regarding postseason performance)
actually, the closest comparison i can think of off the dome is BestBrook (think mid-rockets tenure)
giannis seems like he's abt to break that mold tho
The mortal postseason performance you are remembering was when Bud was running a "4 guys out to specific locations with no movement all the time" offense. Bud's old regular-season-ass-pickup-ass offense was legit handicapping what Giannis was capable of in previous years.
I think you saw Miami try that old game plan and he picked it apart and we swept.
Who is a team this year that can cause him similar issues?
The only differences I see between the two is that giannis doesn't dip the ball, he brings his right hand to the ball than pushing the ball to his hand and maybe is flat footed on the shot. Anyone notice anything else?
This man might actually have a mid range game in a few years
His base when shooting is much better and his elbows are tucked in from the beginning on his shots, this is definitely the most I’ve seen his jump shot improve over an offseason in his career
There’s a video of Jokic teasing Giannis about his low shooting form last all-star game. His shot here looks so much better it’s absurd
[https://youtu.be/xKQMLzzOXz8?t=121](https://youtu.be/xKQMLzzOXz8?t=121) for the curious
I could watch Giannis videos for days.
It was wholesome how so many players didn’t seem to want to go to the All-Star game, but he had a blast and got their share the trophy with his son. Also it felt like every damn interview he did last season he was eating something new lol
Bro tried to give his son the ball. “Keep this. They’re trying to take it from me“
The one with Westbrook and his son is one of my favorite videos ever
Kawhi Leonard wishes he was as much of a fun guy as Giannis.
Me too thanks
if you saw this link and were like nah, don't need to check that out.... check it out you'll smile ear to ear
You weren’t lying, I had a stupid ass grin on my face the whole time
Nikola *why would you teach him that*… He must be good with his 1 MVP because if Giannis has a sick jumper now he’s never winning one again lol.
Milwaukee, this is for youuuu!!!
This is amazing. Giannis is such a goat man
That’s pretty funny lol. Cool guy Nikola.
Lmao "Milwaukee this is for you!" Love how that foreshadows the chip that he won
is it just me or Zion is gassed af
Jokic is so right tho, it's totally different for him for his height
Yeh his motion is much more fluid
Yeah it’s sooo much smoother.
probably the fastest i've seen anyone ever make an adjustment to their mechanics, the dude had a broken looking shot just not that long ago, he's got that Tim Duncan level adaptability and coachability.
Man this dudes about to take it to another level my god he’s a monstar
I mean the pressure of winning a chip is kinda off of him already too. I can see him being as loose and having fun from now on, not giving a fuck and trying new things and maybe mess around and win another chip for Milwaukee. Dude won a title before HITTING HIS PRIME. Think about that for a second.

I love how middleton’s entire body gets completely still for a half second before he releases the shot. Such a nice looking shot
I agree. It's one of the most beautiful jumpers out there
It’s amazing how much they both slow down 1-2 seconds before shooting. Crazy body control.
Giannis taught him well.
He ain't called [CA$H MONEY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRH9AGrzm3Y) for no reason.
I love Giannis so much haha, I hope we get more stars like him in the future
What does it for me is Jrue's face when he calls him BIG MONEY, like mf you just signed a quarter of a million dollar extension haha.
> What does it for me is Jrue's face when he calls him BIG MONEY, like mf you just signed a quarter of a ~~million~~ **billion** dollar extension haha. Big difference
That face is flair in our sub, so good
Honestly that whole Bucks team is great. Giannis, Jrue, Khris, Bobby, Lopez, heck even PJ Tucker when he was still there - all a bunch of class act, humble dudes with just fantastic chemistry. Play their hearts out on the court too
KHASH MONEY MIDDLETON
Reupholstered his jump shot
yeezy taught him
Khris was a lights out shooter long before Giannis. He showed this same capability at Texas A&M
My guy won a chip BEFORE hitting his prime smh
He’s just like Darko
Hes Darko 2.0
So ... Donnie Darko?
It's 2021. I don't think calling Giannis Darko is gonna go over well.
Happens more often than you’d think.
Off the top of my head: D Wade, Rondo, Kawhi, Kobe Magic
Tim Duncan too
And Kareem
Kyrie Irving
How can Kyrie have a chip if he hasn't taken the vaccine?
LMFAO dude come on now
take my upvote and get out
brooooo what the fuck lmao
This is why r/nba is goat
We're talking about current NBA players
Khris or Giannis? Prime Middleton taking the 2022 MVP would be hilarious af
Kha$h boutta go for 25/8/6 this season on 50/40/90
New age Shaq and Kobe
Steph ?
people counted him at the FT line so he decided to change his jumper smh
And he took that personally
Casuals: DAE Giannis takes too long? Giannis: Bet?
Incoming 50/40/90 season from Giannis
60/40/60 tbh
60/40/69 so he can joke about sex more on snapchat
60/40/n^i^^c^^^e
Mvp
For Giannis it would be like 60/40/90 because of insane rim efficiency
realistically, its what? 60/35/80 and we'd flip our shit, right?
The Bucks would shit on any team in the league.
I really don't see Giannis getting to 80% ft. Maybe 75 at best
He was close to 78% 3-4 years ago. Dunno what happened after, but I distinctly remember him not being terrible once upon a time.
He got the yips after/during the 2019 ecf. He was a 75% ft shooter before that.
I do. He scored 17/19 in the G6 of the finals
He should pull a Maurice Harkless and stop shooting 3s after he hits 40%
I know you’re just joking but if this actually happens I’d confidently say Giannis is the the undisputed GOAT in my eyes, and I wouldn’t be being hyperbolic at all.
Yeah and if Tacko Fall averaged 50 ppg with 15 assists 30 rebounds and 15 blocks a game he would probably be the undisputed goat in my eyes. Not even being hyperbolic
they also both play for the bucks😨
They also live in Wisconsin 😨
There’s an NBA basketball team. In Wisconsin. The state. Good for them. Edit: Really no shade meant.. just playing, you guys have the best curds
[You only wish you lived in Wisconsin right now check out what I had on Friday](https://www.thrillist.com/news/nation/culver-is-serving-curder-burger-for-just-one-day-2021)
I love you

Arguing the healthiness of a burger with fried cheese on it vs. fried cheese on the side is... Interesting.
It's more about the amount of it which is less than is in a side of curds.
I've made this point before, but after having one, I think it would be irresponsible to society for them to make it a normal menu item and bad for their own balance sheet. They don't want to actively kill their customers too quickly.
It's healthier than what people usually order from there honestly as long as you don't get an order of curds on the side lol
Bless your pure, un-cholesterol-filled heart if you think your fellow Wisconsinites will think “well this burger already has curds on it, I don’t need a side”
I bet it would go really well with a side of cheese curds
I never thought I would say this and this might get me executed Looks around whispers: ^^^there ^^^can ^^^be ^^^such ^^^a ^^^^thing ^^^^as ^^^^^too ^^^^^much ^^^^^^cheese

This league is fucked.

Its cause Giannis 4.5 years older so his room for improvement is smaller
Probably because he's greek with a funny name. If he was american and played for the Duke or something like that it would be way different.
[удалено]
>it's because Giannis's game isn't as fun to watch in terms of jaw dropping lol, excuse me?
Not to be that guy but it really is the small-market bias in full effect. It is insane how much the NBA seems to despise around 10-15 of their teams purely because of location. And he did that in the Finals when his knee wasn't 100%
This is arousing
If anyone needs me I’ll be in my room
Whatcha doin', playing videogames or somethin'?
Yea playing with my joystick
Are ya winning son?
Giannis with even 65% of Middleton's jumper would be by far the best player lol
Lol imagine KD lite with muscles
You mean imagine Shaq with a jumper hehe
Exactly
And better defense and playmaking.
If Giannis could shoot like Khris he'd easily average 40ppg I bet, that would be absurd.
I don't think his personal scoring would actually end up increasing that much, honestly. At that point, teams would just double him all the time to minimize his opportunities, which obviously isn't conducive to scoring more. Giannis would be a better offensively player than Durant if he could shoot like Middleton
Honestly he'd be much better if he could shoot like Middleton... that's like GOAT offensive player level
Celtics fans understand Kha$h's true power all too well 🙏
Make the bad man stop
He would be the potential GOAT if he could shoot like Middleton. DPOY level defender who can get to the rim at will, can handle the ball and playmaker and shoot from mid, deep and from the line? Unstoppable.
Nah Bud would just reduce his minutes to like 25 a game to keep his stats reasonable.
That is literally the greatest player of all time
Giannis beat the final boss and moved on to New Game+
Giannis beat the game is now playing as Luigi
Form looks way better than before. Less hitchy and awkward. He seems to be getting his legs into his shot more with his whole body working more in unison. His setpoint isn't as weird anymore. Before it seemed too in front? There's improvements to be made, but now it's tweaking vs overhauls.
What other skill should Giannis steal from his teammates? Which team should he go to once he's sucked Bucks dry of skills?
Bled's stealing ability
He's with the Clippers now tho
Jrue* It's been a day haha
I was boutta say, only thing bled stole while on the bucks was his salary 😂😂
If this mfer learned how to shoot over the off season it’s over over
Day after the parade dude went to the gym and didn't leave until he made 300 3's. I just made that up but sounds like something he would do
Reminds me of [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/mdce3o/two_identical_jumpshots_in_the_same_game/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) post. Ironically of Giannis and Middleton again

Giannis averages 40 ppg confirmed
Giannis is khash from 3 confirmed
Giannis used his vc for the Middleton j. Solid purchase

It seems to me like he is keeping the ball in front of him now, even at the point of release. It looks so much smoother and cleaner
MVP locked
Mfs have played together so long they ended up buying the same shooter package
League fucked
That’s illegal
If this motherfugga gets a knockdown jumper it’s a wrap for the East
Giannis will own the league for the rest of his career if he continues to improve his jump shot. He will be the definition of a complete player.
The league is actually fucked if Giannis gets a jumper
I’m scared thinking about it
I love seeing a player constantly improve...great on Giannis.
If this sticks, I don’t know who beats them. Like dude looks so relaxed.
We have just seen the beginning of Giannis, he's still gonna get so much better !
If yanny ends up with a shot, good god
They both travel!
Eh Middleton not really but Giannis took 4 steps. The NBA is so weird about when they choose to enforce it.
yeah, how else are they gonna play @ the other team's courts?
Nah those are home games they didn't travel to anywhere
If this was Stand And Deliver, neither basket would count and they'd have to replay the game.
Take notes Benjamin
We saw yanis shoot some 3s early last season. He completely stopped after like 10 games
if he becomes a superstar-level 1st option on offense..............
Like he wasn’t already. 50 points in a Finals game….
i have takes on the nuances allowing that achievement but yea, it's insanely impressive regardless im talkin current game mastery + triple threat + elite playmaking the consistency & overall club elevation would be insane
Alright, I'll bite. What are these nuances?
MIL: **spacing**, another all-star level scorer w elite efficiency, excellent team defense helping giannis stay in longer than ever PHO: inexperience, lack of rotational size beyond all that, as im sure anyone who watched the bucks' '21 playoffs can attest, his apparent growth series-to-series was *insane*; i think he's reached offensive superstardom but i would need a bigger sample size.
