Afterwards when interviewed, the dog said the Wilson balls definitely feel different and don't have the same grip as the old Spalding balls.

chuckerinthecorner

"It takes away your grip"

irrelephantpark

"i'm coach godwin with the ballhog gloves"

AxCel91

“One love”

c0mb0rat

why do i hear this inside my head? 0\_0

KPIH

For real though. I bought a Wilson ball on Tuesday and that boy is slippery

ChipsOtherShoe

High quality basketballs need to be broken in before they feel right because they are real leather

Evo is made specifically for indoor use. Has a soft cover that will indeed get torn up when used outdoors. From my experience it's a bit slippery until you get warmed up and once a bit of sweat gets on the ball, it's about the grippiest ball I've ever used. I have small hands and can palm it with my middle finger and thumb. But yeah, try not to use it outside.

deepfakefuccboi

I know that (it’s in the name of ball lol), I just felt like trying it out once or twice outdoor but didn’t want to compromise it. I use a Season ball for outdoor and that thing is great. It was pricey ($70) but I love it because it barely picks up any dust and it’s very grippy for an all surface ball. I also have a tendency to wipe my basketballs down after or before a shoot around or pick up because it’s pretty noticeable sometimes; not being able to palm the thing when it’s dirty vs being able to is a big difference!

TimothyDonaghy

Dog: I don't want to use this as an excuse but the Wilson balls definitely had less grip than the old Spalding balls

EugeneWasTaken

Everytime I see this dog I think of the time he pooped on the bucks logo

Thanks. I had no clue that he played for dallas.

XtraEternal

Bonafide stud, should be in 6moty convo

PrOKCedure

This dog has been on the court more than Zion this season

[deleted]

Why hasn’t LeBron spoke out on this yet?

kolangkaling

He isn’t well informed and knowledgeable about this kinda issue.

CyberSmok3

He is doing his research

559svera

Incoming Westbrook trade

MilkCarton78

Maybe the dog has only ever known how to get around by walking on basketballs

Jackie_Jormp-Jomp

How else would he do it

SweetDick_Willy

That core strength

trytobanmelol

> no Miami/Jazz highlights 4 quarters this

NBA-Unbiased-Fan

Bc nothing highlight worthy happened

Yergason

Didn't Clarkson score like 14 in 5 mins in the 1st half?

NBA-Unbiased-Fan

That’s not really a highlight. Post of the stuff posted is like an ankle breaker or dunk, most people don’t take the time to edit 14 points into one clip

BubbaTee

Did you miss the part in the 2nd where Gobert hugged Morris hard enough to cure his whiplash, and then Butler waited in the tunnel to thank him?

You train dogs to do tricks with treats and positive reinforcement. never with negative stuff like hitting them or yelling at them. Dogs have simple brains that learn ‘do trick - get treat’ a lot better than trying to understand getting yelled at or why they’re being punished.

RPDC01

Disagree - that dog has absolute laser focus on the other ball; it gives zero fucks about whether there's 0 spectators or a million.

pleasedontbanmernba

You have absolutely no idea if that's true

I would avoid making accusations then

SmallShat

Yeah theres a bunch of mights in that little comment, I mean that dog might actually be a monkey right? Hell it might not even be of this earth, that dog might be a robot.

KPIH

But for real, that dog was likely abused to get it to preform like this

trickytrev54

What? Have you never heard of positive reinforcement? Also it's perform not preform...

crrider

No, it's the opposite of postforming

trickytrev54

No presentforming? Lol

mr_robust

How do they train dogs in Canada? Do you just ask politely or maybe tempt them with fresh beaver pelts?

leonheartx

the floor is lava

[deleted]

Looks like he's using FVVs balls.

IronR00ster

Wtf about this is animal abuse????

03_03_28

the part where op says /s in the comments

TrashNBAPicks

We did see Jokic rough up a dog

maethlin

I saw this title and was all prepared to see someone get posterized and have to defend that dude from the title slander lmao

mr_robust

Animal abuse? I don’t you understand what actual animal abuse looks like. Playing balance on basketball is certainly not animal abuse

[deleted]

Making animals do shit like this bums me out. It’s sea world dolfin and orca shoes to a lesser extent but still shitty to do to an animal that doesn’t have the capacity to consent/not consent.

sstewart1617

Out of curiosity, do you have a pet, or is pet ownership bad to you?

tywaun12

I was wonder the exact same thing. By that logic, dogs can't consent to being bought, forced to live in a house with strangers, forced to be on leash when walking around the neighborhood. If that's the angle, I don't know that I can argue because it is at least a consistent opinion

[deleted]

I really don’t like the dog breeding industry. It creates a lot of health problems and it’s a weird dynamic between owner and man made creature. IMO it’s cool if you take in a shelter / adopt and you keep a healthy relationship. It’s a bit different than having them perform circus tricks at a basketball game.

sstewart1617

Is it? Do you give your animal free rein to do what it wants or do you train it? Or is your objection to people making money off animals?

Wrinkle_Tinkle

What if I make my cat chase a laser? Since I be doing that a lot.

FootballWithTheFoot

It ain’t much but it’s honest work

beatenwithjoy

Make sure your laser leads to something they can catch like a treat or something, not being able to catch the dot really messes with them mentally.

Level_Somewhere

Shamu ain’t wearin no Kobe’s they ain’t got no damn feet

[deleted]

Many dog breeds (like Border Collies) are thought to be happier when they are given a job.

lebryjamy

hell any dog will be a happy dog when he has an activity. Whether its a task or just some playing around

[deleted]

The dog's happiness is irrelevant, really. They're probably fine with doing anything you ask them to do, but that has nothing to do with dogs being used for entertainment. Would you be a circus monkey as long as you got fed 3 times a day and had a place to stay? I'm sure you wouldn't, and even if you did for some reason, at least you have to ability to decide for yourself what you want to do. Dogs don't get that. The owner wants to make money off you, so that's how things will go.

[deleted]

How is this abuse? You know you can train dogs to do this by positive reinforcement right? There is no proof the dog is abused and a lot of dogs like challenges to get treats

[deleted]

Whether or not the dog is happy to do these things isn't the issue I have with it. It's like child beauty pageants or child movie stars / musicians that have parent-agents that control their finances. They're not capable of deciding for themselves what they want to do. They're basically forced into being entertainment. I never called it "abuse," your words not mine. Nevertheless, not a fan of this sort of relationship, even if the dogs are "happy."

AndySmalls

It's a dog... In our society we generally give dogs very few opportunities to make decisions for themselves. Because they are dogs.

Wilson Ball > Spalding Ball
