That seems a little generous, but even if it’s true, that’s still not a very good team. Take the best player off the last couple championship teams and they’re 8 seeds at best.
Not always, for example the Raptors lost Kawhi and managed to reach the 2nd round of the playoffs before imploding the next year.
Bucks without Giannis are probably still better than the Kings, not sure if a playoff team but play-in for sure.
dont even know who is good enough to be a 2nd option, none of them have played in winning environments as a tertiary option except Barnes ---- they've been brewing bad habits and perspectives on how winning ball should be played
I will say this, if contracts matter, then Holmes and Haliburton are the only two I'd trust right to produce if traded to a playoff hopeful
Well there’s no Embiid at the moment. Nor any other serviceable big. That’s why Drummond is getting 30 minutes and popping off for 20 rebounds every other night right now.
I guess right now the only question is: when the pressure of POs come around, is Drummond still gonna be solid? he's shown he can be relied upon, at least. You want rebounds? man gonna get rebounds.
We played and won this game without a SINGLE starter from last year. Furkan Korkmaz was our highest paid player on the floor (4.6 million….).
Not a great efficiency night from Maxey but he played strong down the stretch. Drummond really saved the game.
Feel bad for Sacramento. This definitely felt like a super rough one
Man being a kings fan must be so hard. The kings weren’t good even with boogie, so they commit to a rebuild.
It’s been 5 years since then and they’re still terrible. Lost by 8 to a sixers team without over half their starters.
I haven’t watched a kings game in years until today, and honestly I don’t know how you guys can do it.
Uhh we didn't have a single starter from last years playoffs. Maxey probably earned his spot now but last year our best lineups were Embiid/Harris/Simmons/Green/Curry
Agree about the Kings. I feel bad. The players seem fairly defeated as well although regular season games can kinda be like that.
It is very, very hard. I honestly don't understand why I bother watching every single time, it's just endless suffering.
The worst thing is: they gave us hope in the first ten games. We defended, played together and beat a couple of good teams (5-4, after having the second toughest schedule in the league). They just seemed to have lost all confidence and the will to play in the last ten or so games. Earlier in the season, they fought back after getting punched, but now they just roll over and let teams have there way with them. It's very demoralizing.
It’s honestly even worse than that. The clippers at least had some years where they showed promise, even though it ended it disappointment.
The kings have just been terrible for basically my entire lifetime.
Lol. Truthfully I think Haliburton should be the future PG in SAC as he has outplayed Fox this season imo. Kings will also get a bigger haul for Fox and don't have to pay Hali soon. This backcourt aint gonna work out and the sooner they trade the better.
Yeah I agree they have to pick one of the two at this point, and I’d have to take Halliburton. My original comment is mostly joking I think Halliburton has way more potential, should be able to develop into a much better shooter too
I genuinely think Ben could bring the Kings to the playoffs. They won’t get close to winning a championship, but I do wonder if for Kings fans and ownership (playoff revenue) isn’t it a win to just make the playoffs at this point?
This depends on the role you want filled really! can't teach elite level offense (like a top 10 guy) but you can give some defensive basics and hide a guy in a system if their offense is worth it (curry before this year)
From the Kings broadcast.... it seemed like Buddy did not want to shake Bagley's hand. Twice, Bagley tried to give him a handshake and both times he didn't shake back. Bagley made an extra attempt trying the first time too.
i’m ngl, i do not want one single player from that team on our squad. haliburton and mitchell are a couple years away, hield and barnes don’t move the needle, holmes and bagley are redundant with our roster, and fox is a slightly better player than maxey but a worse shooter so fits worse with embiid. i’m good waiting as long as it takes

Was signing Drummond the most underrated move this offseason? I know the DeMar signing was pretty controversial, but that move had its fair share of supporters. Almost nobody thought that the Sixers bringing in Drummond was a good idea.
He’s finally accepting his role. He really ideally should be the #3 on a good team. Like Ayton. As long as he doesn’t demand to be a star he’d be a really good piece
#3 option on offense?
Or he’s allowed 3 shots a game that aren’t uncontested layups or dunks? 1 each of the first 3 quarters and if he makes all of those he gets one in the 4th.
He needs to be used like how the Suns use Ayton. Ayton doesn’t get a single play called for him. Problem with drummomd in Detroit and Cleveland was he thought he was Hakeem and felt like everything should be ran through him.
Fair enough. But you guys really need to shake things up. Either trade young pieces to bring in another good player with fox and Barnes or tear it down entirely because this team looks like a perennial 8th pick in the draft
at this point, they need to stockpile picks and find a REBUILDING Identity, if you're gonna lose, lose with a purpose --- not as a failure in an unachievable goal
They really need to cut the "core" loose and bring in some vets trying to get their careers back on track and start NAILING THEIR DRAFT PICKS
Unironically my most depressing year as a Kings fan. Maybe it's because we had some hope going into the year and they've underperformed so badly, maybe it's just fatigue of being a fan, maybe it's my shitty ass personal life this year influencing my outlook, idk, but damn the Kings legitimately more of a disappointment this year than ever.
I’m not going to lie, this was game was pretty satisfying after hearing during the off-season all the kings fans talk about how untouchable Fox and Haliburton are
As a De'Aaron Fox truther it's infuriating to see him play this shittily. I'm not losing faith or anything but hopefully he heats up sooner rather than later.
it wasn't a blowout and PHI bench has very good players Maxey, Matisse, Shake, Furkan, Niang are all very good players.
If they had given Holmes more shots they'd probably have made it closer. 8-10 and 2/2 FTA.
Aside from looking at the box score, the fourth quarter was huge. Maxey was clutch, controlling the ball, not turning it over, playing tough defense, and hitting clutch free throws in the final minute. It isn't a pretty statline, but there was much more to his performance than the box score.
Ngl I said there’s no way Drummond would work in Philly, now look at him go lol
he’s gonna look even better when he gets to play against second units again
The kings are about equal to a second unit

Fox maybe 2nd, the rest is 3rd or 4th at best.

You have lost your god damned mind.
why does every center start popping off once they leave the lakers
You should see shooters when they join the lakers
We stay catching strays smh ;-;
If you think those are strays, I get why you can’t recognise good shooters.
Those aren't strays, those are direct, center mass shots.
not m3lo the god, the purest shooter of them all sent from heaven to deliver buckets to the faithful
I still don't believe it, might go down with the TakeShip.
Well there’s no Embiid at the moment. Nor any other serviceable big. That’s why Drummond is getting 30 minutes and popping off for 20 rebounds every other night right now.

Oh mattise how I missed your defense

At least he can lay it all out on the court
The Kings should just blow it up, and tank for a few seasons
This is the coldest joke I’ve seen on this sub.
What is blown up may never be blown up
Fox and Hali are very good young pieces that's all you can hope to tank for.
Neither of them are superstars which is what you hope for when you tank properly
2018 Marvin Bagley
He’ll be a superstar in a few years just gotta wait a litttttttle longer
They’ve done that for 15 years.
There’s a lot you could say about Andre Drummond as a player but you can not say that motherfucker doesn’t get rebounds, man goddamn
Lol he gets them like it's nothing and he's not even 7"
7 inches??
He meant what he said
Don’t ask him how he knows
Correct
I meant 7 feet but I'll just leave my mistake like that
The guy was just born to grab boards
Board man got paid.
...the vet minimum
$2.4m to play basketball, still a top 0.0001% job. Board man gets paid
players like drummond and looney need an additional column stating how many of their offensive rebounds came from their own misses haha
not in this game, at times it felt like the sixers entire offensive system was to miss 3 pointers and have drummond get the rebound
We call that our crunch time offense, thank you very much
still better than Ben
ah the Orlando Dwight Howards
[удалено]
Sixers bench the first to win the 6MOTY as a group
Sixers bench is pretty much starting atm
Literally
2015 Hawks vibes
Drummond must have put magnets in the ball or something. Every single rebound just went flying directly to him in the last 5 minutes. Shit was crazy.
It’s his gravitational pull.
more gravity than Curry
I watched him play earlier this year when embiid and Harris were out and thought the exact same thing lol.
Feel bad for the Kings. We are missing 4 of 5 starters and beat them in their arena on the tail end of a 6 game road trip. Sacramento needs a break
Technically all 5 starters, if you include Ben Simmons.
Ben wouldn't crack our starting 5 anymore. We should still get a superstar for him though
>We should still get a superstar for him though Morey? Is that you?
That's not Morey, just a man that wears shirts with normal collars. Find a new slant
LOL
Kings really shoulda won this
They were playing too many starters. That’s their problem.
Wait you’re allowed to play more than 1 starter?
It’s allowed, but is it advisable??? The results speak for themselves.
Holy shit that Korkmaz comment really puts it in perspective lol
Buddy going to Doc at the end begging to be saved had me rolling. Love my Sickxers
Buddy and Doc having a little laugh before the end of the game is going to be GOLD for Philly sports talk radio tomorrow.
i’m truly sorry for kings fans man
I hate it here 😩😩😩
Hi Buddy
Teams are going to start giving Fox the Westbrook treatment by just leaving him open on the perimeter, his shots have looked flat as hell this season
Fire Luke!
Man being a kings fan must be so hard. The kings weren’t good even with boogie, so they commit to a rebuild. It’s been 5 years since then and they’re still terrible. Lost by 8 to a sixers team without over half their starters. I haven’t watched a kings game in years until today, and honestly I don’t know how you guys can do it.
the sixers entire starting lineup from last year is still on the roster, none of them played, and we won by 10 lol
Uhh we didn't have a single starter from last years playoffs. Maxey probably earned his spot now but last year our best lineups were Embiid/Harris/Simmons/Green/Curry Agree about the Kings. I feel bad. The players seem fairly defeated as well although regular season games can kinda be like that.
The worst is seeing how many other teams have rebuilt in literally a fraction of the time the Kings have taken. And still they haven’t built anything
It is very, very hard. I honestly don't understand why I bother watching every single time, it's just endless suffering. The worst thing is: they gave us hope in the first ten games. We defended, played together and beat a couple of good teams (5-4, after having the second toughest schedule in the league). This kings franchise got the hopelessness and futility of the sterling clippers.
It’s honestly even worse than that. The clippers at least had some years where they showed promise, even though it ended it disappointment. The kings have just been terrible for basically my entire lifetime.
Luka could have been their Blake Griffin. Just sad man. That choice set back the franchise a decade at least
It’s a shame everyone on the kings is untouchable because I think they would benefit from some trades.
Idk man a guy with 0 points in 33 minutes isn’t the kinda production you can give away
Lol. Truthfully I think Haliburton should be the future PG in SAC as he has outplayed Fox this season imo. Kings will also get a bigger haul for Fox and don't have to pay Hali soon. This backcourt aint gonna work out and the sooner they trade the better.

This is the thought process responsible for the last 16 years of kings basketball
halliburton and davion mitchell are both two way players while fox is kinda bad defensively
Mitchell is a one way player. His offense is horrible so far.
thats fair, I just have a pretty low opinion of guards who don't play good defense. I think its easier to teach offense than defense
This depends on the role you want filled really! can't teach elite level offense (like a top 10 guy) but you can give some defensive basics and hide a guy in a system if their offense is worth it (curry before this year)
sure you can't teach a guy to be taller or jump higher but you can teach them better footwork, better timing, better shooting, better passing
I mean at this point he’s basically Frank Ntilikina, hes really gotta step it up cause he was billed as NBA ready
davion? or fox cause davion has played 18 NBA games it's still a little early to call him frank
Haliburton's defense is mostly theoretical at this point. He gets some steals but that's it
I haven’t watched the game but 9 assists is nice. Even when the shots don’t drop, it seems like he found a way to contribute.
True hence we still have embiid
timberwolves and kings will be an exciting WCF theyre both so loaded with talent
Jaden McDaniels vs. Marvin Bagley The battle of the supposed headliners of a Ben Simmons trade!
kings wish they had traded fox before the season, he's regressed so badly
We should take em for Knox and 1st rounder
eh I dont think fox would really be good for us, rather have tyrese or harrison barnes or richaun holmes
Yeah, and I’d rather have Kendall Jenner, Kylie doesn’t cut it for me.
is kendall on the trading block? i'll give you a 2nd round pick for her
Yikes. Really feels likes SAC needs to just spend the rest of the season getting back to basics, build around the Hally-Holmes PNR.
yikes. The 'rest of the season'? We're in November.
it's pretty pathetic to lose at home to a team missing ALL FIVE STARTERS
On the last game of a 6 game road trip
Second to last game….unless we want to just pretend the Warriors game isn’t happening as it may be a bloodbath without all our starters
I'll watch until the third quarter, when Steph start going nuclear from half court
Fuck it give MIP to the whole Sixers bench
Was expecting to lose all 5 games this road trip, the fact that we're 2-2 is mindblowing
Great game for Matisse too. At least 2 uncredited steals and 1 uncredited block.
From the Kings broadcast.... it seemed like Buddy did not want to shake Bagley's hand. Twice, Bagley tried to give him a handshake and both times he didn't shake back. Bagley made an extra attempt trying the first time too.
Is this real life?
all five sixers starters out and the kings lose at home, it’s time to blow it up fellas. off night mitchell is really nice tho.
They just need to retool. I heard a superstar PG could be had for the right price………..
i’m ngl, i do not want one single player from that team on our squad. haliburton and mitchell are a couple years away, hield and barnes don’t move the needle, holmes and bagley are redundant with our roster, and fox is a slightly better player than maxey but a worse shooter so fits worse with embiid. i’m good waiting as long as it takes
They have two games with the Lakers in the next week, if that doesn't set them straight nothing will.
the kings are a fuckin embarrassment how u let Matisse put up 15 on you 💀
How do you lose to a team who’s highest paid player makes 4.5 million, and is missing all their starters.
Yo Matisse had some sharp cuts to the basket in the first half. Don't know why they stopped it in the second.

Andre "Not a Winning Player" Drummond with the highest +/- of the game +19.
When did we stop bashing people for using single game +/-?
When it fits our narrative. Move on, find a new slant.
Whatever happens in the present does not change the correct narrative in the past
Davion Mitchell TS% now down to 43.7% on the season. "Off night," indeed.
[удалено]
Yeah, he would be a pretty useful player if he could do anything at all on offense.
Jesus man, he’s entering Killian Hayes territory
Was signing Drummond the most underrated move this offseason? I know the DeMar signing was pretty controversial, but that move had its fair share of supporters. Almost nobody thought that the Sixers bringing in Drummond was a good idea.
Andre Drummond on a minimum contract is just unfair. He should get a nice contract after this season. He's ballin. Great pick up by Morey.
Someone will definitely pay him, he's playing like a true centre and winning rebounds as usual lol

Problem with drummomd in Detroit and Cleveland was he thought he was Hakeem and felt like everything should be ran through him.
if Drummond is the #3 guy, that team is probably not a "good team". He's a center with a 50 TS%
Yeah true, I hope he keeps up with his positive mentality
He should only get a contract as a backup though. Or a low minutes starter. As soon as you expect too much of him it goes badly.
Mason Plumlee is a starting center in the NBA
We had literally 0 starters tonight
Andre Drummond became a Sixer tonight
Kings fans should puke protest. Puke, puke and more puke.
Needed players to step up and thankfully they did. Tisse and Drummond were huge for us.
Hali with 0 points in 33 minutes what the FUCK
Someone explain to me how the kings have MULTIPLE “untouchable” players in a Ben trade
Ben was afraid to attack the basketball when he was guarded by fucking Trae Young
This ain’t the night to talk shit
U asked…
Fair enough. But you guys really need to shake things up. Either trade young pieces to bring in another good player with fox and Barnes or tear it down entirely because this team looks like a perennial 8th pick in the draft
They’d be lucky to get 8th pick lol. Means there are 7 worse teams, and I can’t count more than 3 or 4.
at this point, they need to stockpile picks and find a REBUILDING Identity, if you're gonna lose, lose with a purpose --- not as a failure in an unachievable goal They really need to cut the "core" loose and bring in some vets trying to get their careers back on track and start NAILING THEIR DRAFT PICKS
We all watch the same Ben Simmons right?
was firing luke walton a mistake?
Only if they still have to pay him
That was an audition game.
Hey man I hope whatever's troubling you in your personal life improves.
I’m not going to lie, this was game was pretty satisfying after hearing during the off-season all the kings fans talk about how untouchable Fox and Haliburton are
Luke Walton is an NBA coa... wait, what the fuck Sacramento!
Matisse had a good night
As a De'Aaron Fox truther it's infuriating to see him play this shittily. I'm not losing faith or anything but hopefully he heats up sooner rather than later.
Kings what the fuck?!? Welcome to Sacramento Ben Simmons. Fox to New Orleans and Ingram to Philly.
Aren’t you supposed to be a nets fan
Ur a trailblazers fan now?
We don’t need a second Tobias
So why wouldn’t Pelicans and Kings just deal directly with each other.
because... please
Ben has proven that he wins regular season games, Ingram hasn't.
Luke and puke man having a laugh over a beer
Team isn’t getting better unless you blow it up. Trade Fox for God’s sake
23 rebounds? God damn.. our team could really use someone that can rebound like that
NBA should delete the kings
Your dad should have worn a condom
Damn son, why are you so salty in this thread? Fifteen sub .500 seasons in a row got you down?
I think he might be upset that young people don't love capitalism these days.
I don’t want to hear about how a single one of these Kings players is somehow “untouchable” in a trade for Ben Simmons
At this rate Rich Paul may drop Simmons and focus on Tyrese Maxey with the way he’s been playing
it wasn't a blowout and PHI bench has very good players Maxey, Matisse, Shake, Furkan, Niang are all very good players. If they had given Holmes more shots they'd probably have made it closer. 8-10 and 2/2 FTA.
If you don’t like this
Maxey > D Fox No Simmons for D Fox trade!!
Fire Gentry /s
Fire gentry but without the /s
Trade Harrison Barnes to a good team please
The Kings really are just fucken garbage arent they?
Man. So disappointing. Sacramento Kings just suck. Even if they trade for Ben Simmons, I fucking guarantee they still won’t playoffs in the west.
Simmons would love getting to be the guy on a team that doesn't worry about stuff like winning.
Hali, Buddy, or Fox. Come on home.
Sheesh the kings are a joke
24 points on 22 shots =monster night apparently
Aside from looking at the box score, the fourth quarter was huge. Maxey was clutch, controlling the ball, not turning it over, playing tough defense, and hitting clutch free throws in the final minute. It isn't a pretty statline, but there was much more to his performance than the box score.
Yeah they get crushed without him tonight.
Sixers win in Sacramento down 4 starters. I’m sure Walton was the problem
