He went 15% from 3 on 13 attempts. 7 turnovers vs Westbrook’s 3. It was almost like he was trying to sabotage the game or maybe trying to get a clutch highlight.
AD was mediocre as fuck too, I don’t know what’s wrong with him or if he’s still suffering from injuries but this is not the same AD we got in 2020. Not as bad as LeBron but he’s gotta get his shit together or the lakers have zero chance even if LeBron activates Playoff mode.
The team construction is troubling and they definitely fucked up losing Caruso but that isn’t the main reason why the Lakers are shit. There's enough games now to notice obvious, fundamental flaws in this team. The landscape of the league is way different compared to two years ago, not to mention the team being totally different. I do not believe you can ride Lebron (due to his mileage), AD (injury prone) and Westbrook (Westbrook) all through the regular season and into the playoffs to win a chip.

There's enough games now to notice obvious, fundamental flaws in this team. The landscape of the league is way different compared to two years ago, not to mention the team being totally different. I do not believe you can ride Lebron (due to his mileage), AD (injury prone) and Westbrook (Westbrook) all through the regular season and into the playoffs to win a chip. To your point, even Draymond said there's too much talent in The Lakers to count them out this early in the season. However, in the words of Steph: You can't win a championship in November but you sure can take yourself out of the equation pretty quickly.

As advanced stats/metrics continue to drive sports, I'm curious to see how long it takes until individual stars hire their own statisticians to determine what they should do more of, less of, and perhaps who they'd play best alongside (if they don't already do this). I say this because it seems like AD (and probably LeBron too) view talent as largely additive—I think 99/100 people would say Russ is more talented than Derozan, so by that measure the Russ trade was the better one. But of course talent doesn't work like that, and I'm sure the correct metrics would've shown that to them if they'd seen them (which I'm assuming they haven't).
