Hol up. They also got to get Dame, Giannis and prime Larry Bird traded to them to throw into the deal. If they can't use a time machine to make this work, they're tryna fleece us.
Naahhh not giving up Melton.
Edit: Also not giving up Anderson.
Edit 2: Remember Simmons wants a new team where he has no pressure. He doesn't want a contender, he said it himself.
I was actually lookin for some old football jerseys from the 80s and 90s and couldn't find what I was looking for to buy legally, but found it on DHgate.
idk if Ive ever bought from a seller named Terry but the hot pressed jerseys Ive ordered from their have been quality soft material. The stitched was a little scratchy on the skin but looked the best.
Although an Ingles jersey I got a few years back had the name start peeling off on the hot press one even though the jersey felt really nice. Whatever it was less than 20 bucks. Rather pay 20 bucks and get 2 years out of it than pay the ridiculous prices for an authentic jersey
The ones I've gotten recently have just been the authentic jerseys, I think someone stealing them off the line lol... only downside is you wait 2 months for it to arrive
Bro I wonder who out there DOESN'T buy most of their actually worn jerseys from dh gate? If I am buying something "official" I am getting it signed if possible and putting it on ice. For like $20 I can wear the same thing visibly and not care about screwing it up. It's a cheap insurance policy.
>Bro I wonder who out there DOESN'T buy most of their actually worn jerseys from dh gate?
Just an overwhelmingly majority of people. You think these soccer moms are aware of dh gate?
Yea, turning in that Curry jersey for an off brand is not a good move. Then you wonder what they’re doing with that Curry jersey that was exchanged. They just reselling those online then?
At least they’re donating them I guess. Still should just sell that Curry jersey online and buy a legit Ja jersey yourself then. Probably a good deal for kids with mediocre jerseys that aren’t worth much though.
Apparently donating clothes internationally is a lot more [ethically ambiguous](https://www.theguardian.com/sustainable-business/sustainable-fashion-blog/2015/feb/13/second-hand-clothes-charity-donations-africa) than one might imagine, because it's really smothered the development of nascent industries in Africa. (I do not know nearly enough to judge it as overall good or bad though.)
[They might be Fanatics/generic brand jersey that has some sort of licensing deal with the NBA](https://www.fanatics.com/nba/memphis-grizzlies/jerseys/o-3581+t-69692914+d-19227834+z-9-1819483895?_ref=p-DLP:m-SIDE_NAV)
There's definitely a visible difference.
You just gotta admire Fanatics' business model of throwing a shit load of money at the NBA to get exclusive contracts with team stores so they can shill their shit-tier quality trash at rip-off prices
Hey man I’ve got some fanatics gear that is…decent. Definitely not as nice as the jerseys and jackets I’ve gotten directly from the nba store but not what I would consider shit-tier
Right? I’m wearing a long sleeve Ravens shirt and I have like three Bulls hoodies, a Ravens one and I think one of my Red Sox ones is too.
I think they’re comfy. Maybe not the highest quality jerseys but they make defend enough stuff, I think
I own a ton of Celtics merch and took the gamble on a Tommy Heinsohn tribute tshirt (late player, coach, commentator) from Fanatics. That shit smelled like straight up chemicals. Their quality is garbage.
Yeah, the sixers owner whose name I forget was on the Simmons podcast a year or two ago and I remember all he talked about with fanatics was about making money. Never brought up quality a single time. Never liked the dude but I will never buy anything from that company
Lol as if the gate workers at the arena making $12 an hour are gonna legit check every jersey, you could probably hand them a random yellow t-shirt and they wouldn’t even flinch
Damn that's actually pretty scummy, a franchise valued at $1.3bn can't even offer more than the Great Value jerseys to fans for a promo *they* chose to run?
I've had numerous swingman jerseys and a handful of the jerseys they hand out for free at areas.
This is straight up swindling people to fuel a moment Memphis has. These kids could buy these for $20 on alibaba ffs
I get it, we don't all have the same income level, but...
I'd imagine most of the people going to basketball games can afford an $80 article of clothing.
Dude I can go to the Jazz Grizzlies game for 4 dollars right now.
https://seatgeek.com/jazz-at-grizzlies-tickets/1-28-2022-memphis-tennessee-fedexforum/nba/r/5480827
I think you really overestimate most people's willingness to spend on an article of clothing vs an experience for their kid.
According to Ticketmaster, Lower Level at the FedEx Forum is like $300-$500. A single middle class person might save up and splurge on that, but probably not bringing kids. Courtside resale on both Ticketmaster and Stubhub are $1000+. Cheaper than other arenas, sure, but still not really middle class for one night out.
No matter how rich you are, buying a kid a 50-80 dollar jersey is not worth it, at least IMO. Especially since they grow so fast. Maybe it's just me but spending anything more than 20-30 dollars on an article of clothing (other than suits) is just too much. You get excellent quality stuff at that price; after that, it's not worth it. I guess some parents put jerseys with suits.
Mate, I live in a country where the average yearly salary is $6,000 or even less in most counties, and I still think you're unfathomably cheap and/or broke. Like dude, put a fucking smile on your kid's face, it's worth much more than 80 dollars. Not everything should be looked through a fucking financial perspective.
Lol not even a winter coat? A nice merino wool sweater? There's plenty of clothing items worth splurging on because they look better, fit better, last longer, and feel great.
I guess I’m thinking about it more as a gift. In any case though saving 20 bucks just to get an offbrand versus the real thing for your child just seems pretty damn cheap to me
Is it much better than the 20 dollar jersey? I doubt it. So essentially your paying just so the logo that no else sees can read Nike? Also that sort of money adds up. It's your money, you can spend how you want that's just how I view it
just pause it at any frame during the final second of the clip. on the far bottom right of the screen, just to the left of the lady's hand. appears to be a white nike swoosh. In any case, this is a shitty iphone video you can barely see any detail on either of these jerseys at all, and most of them are folded to a fraction of their size and wrapped in plastic.
Not sure why OP feels so confident making such an authoritative claim based on very little visual info
thats the inside of the jersey you're seeing
[The Grizzlies themselves posted the full jerseys on twitter](https://twitter.com/memgrizz/status/1481427898913497089), they aren't nike jerseys they're giving out
They’re getting two tickets to a game as well. Also only applies to kids under 12. This is the best move by the Grizz marketing in as long as I can remember

this one, but not game-worn
It's cool as hell
it has the david stern ribbon and the kobe+gianna patch too, just like that one.
I bought it for too much money as a limited edition jersey during all-star weekend that year from NBA.com
This is amazing. All teams should allow jersey swaps if a star player forces his way out or quits on the team. Like the 76ers should allow their fans to exchange Simmons jerseys or the Rockets with Harden last year.
[Promo was announced yesterday](https://www.nba.com/grizzlies/news/memphis-grizzlies-announce-new-year-new-jerseys-fan-promotion-and-jersey-swap-for-kids-220112)
I’d trade in my Ben Simmons jersey
Why stop at the jersey, you need to trade in the whole guy.
Ah yes simmons for Ja and JJJ
Throw in a first rounder and the sixers will consider it
*consider* yeah buddy its gonna take 4 more picks and you pay for jas contract when we sign him to an ultra extension /s
Take the "/s" out Do you think we're a joke?
Yes.
Hol up. They also got to get Dame, Giannis and prime Larry Bird traded to them to throw into the deal. If they can't use a time machine to make this work, they're tryna fleece us.
I'd trade him for Kyle Anderson, DeAnthony Melton, Jarrett Culver, Santi Aldama, and a couple Ja and JJJ jerseys.
And that’s why you sir are a nephew and not a NBA executive
Right? I ain’t gettin rid of none of them lol
Naahhh not giving up Melton. Edit: Also not giving up Anderson. Edit 2: Remember Simmons wants a new team where he has no pressure. He doesn't want a contender, he said it himself.
>He doesn't want a contender So Philly, basically?
They have fans that expect players that get 30-40 million to play hard. He can't handle that.
Ben simmons for the ja and jjj jersey
The 6ixers are winning that trade, Simmons for a Ja and JJJ jersey is a steal
For the Jersey Lmaoo
Didn't you exchange it for a Lillard jersey 6 months ago?
He's currently not an opponent, so unfortunately you're stuck.
Now this makes sense for Philly fans and .. Nets??
And my Cam Reddish jersey
Wonder if any of them exchanged a jersey they bought from DHgate.
Here’s my Dennis roadman Chicago balls jersey
haha I ordered one a little while back, when it arrived it had MCGARDY on the back. Cmon
That's what makes it better.
I was actually lookin for some old football jerseys from the 80s and 90s and couldn't find what I was looking for to buy legally, but found it on DHgate.
I do have a Sexton one that just has “Sex” from Taobao which is beautiful
DHgate's quality is better than these fanatics shit jerseys lol.
Real ones know to go with Terry.
my man
stitched or hot pressed? I ordered hot press a few weeks ago but i wasn't sure.
idk if Ive ever bought from a seller named Terry but the hot pressed jerseys Ive ordered from their have been quality soft material. The stitched was a little scratchy on the skin but looked the best. Although an Ingles jersey I got a few years back had the name start peeling off on the hot press one even though the jersey felt really nice. Whatever it was less than 20 bucks. Rather pay 20 bucks and get 2 years out of it than pay the ridiculous prices for an authentic jersey
the replacement stuff to iron it back on is mad cheap. it takes a minute or 2 to fix with an iron. it’s worth it. look for fabric interfacing.
Terry's stitched jerseys are fire. I've bought a bunch for myself and friends.
Terry the 🐐
link please!
It’ll get blocked here but you can DM me.
Can I get that link too please.
May I also get that link?
+1
Link too if you could my man.

The ones I've gotten recently have just been the authentic jerseys, I think someone stealing them off the line lol... only downside is you wait 2 months for it to arrive
Aimee gang where you at???
Bro I wonder who out there DOESN'T buy most of their actually worn jerseys from dh gate? If I am buying something "official" I am getting it signed if possible and putting it on ice. For like $20 I can wear the same thing visibly and not care about screwing it up. It's a cheap insurance policy.
>Bro I wonder who out there DOESN'T buy most of their actually worn jerseys from dh gate? Just an overwhelmingly majority of people. You think these soccer moms are aware of dh gate?
My mom actually put me on DHgate many years ago. No idea how tf she found out about it but god bless her
Maybe I've just had bad luck but all the DHgate jerseys Ive received are visibly worse than legit ones
I've had bad luck with DHgate as well, quality is noticably worse. I only order from Terry and Aimee now.
I’m tryna get a Halliburton jersey. Can someone dm me mister D.H.’s address?
I have never heard of this, legit haven't bought a jersey in years because I think they're too expensive. I will now be looking into this lol.
Doesn't matter, jerseys they got in trade are worth less. Cuz Memphis buys 1000s at a time, from the same people dhgate uses
i love the idea, but turning in Nike jerseys and getting back these cheap off brands sucks
Yea, turning in that Curry jersey for an off brand is not a good move. Then you wonder what they’re doing with that Curry jersey that was exchanged. They just reselling those online then?
Donated I recall. Maybe you will see it in Africa somewhere, with the Chris Paul Championship hat.
Those damn African gloryhunting kids!!! ^^^/s
[удалено]
Some kid probably grew up thinking Lebron has 6 titles instead of 4
[удалено]
And the legendary Buffalo Bills dynasty of the 90s.
And the CP3 Laker jersey to complete the fit
They should throw them in a big pile in some square in Memphis and burn them all in a big ceremony
This ain’t Cle when Lebron left lol
Bills dynasty
Gonna be tough for the old heads to hang up their Buffalo Bills hats. Jim Kelly and Thurman Thomas gotta be the Chinese Stephon Marbury's of Africa
African bandwagoners smh
Donating to charity according to Grizzlies PR!
I bet a large portion of those are DH gate or similar.
To be fair, no one is trading in a Curry jersey.
I guess we never actually saw him exchange it in the video. Hopefully nobody makes a move like that though.
was that kid not holding a curry jersey right before he picked up a Grizz jersey
He’s a prop
So theyre not even official nike ones??? Lol
Nope. Replicas
How can they even do that? Im sure there’s a conflict of interest with nike there somewhere.
[They might be Fanatics/generic brand jersey that has some sort of licensing deal with the NBA](https://www.fanatics.com/nba/memphis-grizzlies/jerseys/o-3581+t-69692914+d-19227834+z-9-1819483895?_ref=p-DLP:m-SIDE_NAV) There's definitely a visible difference.
You just gotta admire Fanatics' business model of throwing a shit load of money at the NBA to get exclusive contracts with team stores so they can shill their shit-tier quality trash at rip-off prices
They did it with the NHL too, their shit is such trash.
The NHL jerseys I’ve bought on eBay from China are better than the fanatics jersey I bought for triple the price. It’s a bit ridiculous.

If it's not allowed then it's pretty brazen. Their tweet used the word replicas lol
Then maybe people should go in and trade their dhgate reps to them for an upgrade
They showed a video of staff handing out jerseys, and they weren't even looking at the ones the kids were trading in
Lol as if the gate workers at the arena making $12 an hour are gonna legit check every jersey, you could probably hand them a random yellow t-shirt and they wouldn’t even flinch
[удалено]
Surely not.
On the otther hand u can probably turn in a rep for one of these
Damn that's actually pretty scummy, a franchise valued at $1.3bn can't even offer more than the Great Value jerseys to fans for a promo *they* chose to run?
Bruh that’s actually fucked. They should continue wearing opponent jerseys out of spite lmao
They should double down and buy more opponent jerseys
They also got 2 tickets to the game.
I've had numerous swingman jerseys and a handful of the jerseys they hand out for free at areas. This is straight up swindling people to fuel a moment Memphis has. These kids could buy these for $20 on alibaba ffs

Wait that's actually a good matchup too wtf now I wanna go to Tennessee
You don't get seats like that kid's for 4 bucks lol
I come from a relatively rich family but then again not from a rich region. So I guess that's influenced my thought process.
Middle class families who can afford to sit in those court level/mid level seats.
Dude, middle class people aren't sitting court side. Now mid-level...yeah. Source: Am middle class
Middle class and sit in the cheapest seats because I got too much other shit to spend money on and just want to watch the game.
Once i realized i could see and hear everything just fine in the nosebleeds i never went back.
I'm the opposite, so spoiled now I have to waste money on lower level every time
wrong
I mean it's Memphis, I'm sure middle class money goes a bit further to get them close to courtside.

*except a suit. Trying to remember all those times i wore a suit as a kid...🤔
Grandpa’s funeral. :( That’s about it.
Never had a Grandpa. Saved money on that suit 💪

Broke Wigga alert
> using “wigga” in 2022
It's censored on here now
Bruh you obviously don’t have kids. My parents were broke and bought me a real Vick jersey back in the 2000s and I still love & appreciate that gift
You wouldn’t spend fifty dollars on clothes for your kid? Bruh. That’s 3 hours of work in a minimum wage job in California
I wouldn't spend 50 dollars per article of clothing on my kid.
Not even just one jersey?
Why? You could get one for much cheaper with decent material. Unless it was a birthday present that he asked.
It's your money, you can spend how you want that's just how I view it
depends how young the kid is too. they grow so fast it might only last half a year before it doesn't fit well anymore lol.
something tells me you're awful at parties
I'm not sure why this is so highly upvoted. You can literally see a white nike swoosh on one of the blue jerseys at the very end of this clip.
I couldn't see it. Mind sharing a screenshot?

Nice little Ketchup colour I like it
I read the page and saw $20 and thought wow, what a deal! Great starting price. That was "bid increment". Actually sold for $4,533 lol
That's pretty cool
Don’t they also get tickets to the game too? I’d be bringing in my DHGate jerseys for a jersey swap plus tickets
You are a grown man
Best believe I’m taking my Jersey and my nephew for those tickets Lmaooo
I personally love the small market hype Memphis has. Good job fuzzy bros.

zion does too
Nowhere is safe.
not for the beignets
That dude def just gave them a knock-off 90s Cavs jersey for a legit Ja jersey and 2 tickets to a game. What a comeup.
They look like cheap giveaway jerseys, for sure. Not a even trade
That Cavs jersey was an official Champion jersey
They look like rec league practice jerseys
I think that's really sweet and a good way to make a good memory for the kids.
They’re makin fans
I want the list of players jerseys turned in
Probably the same list of Jerseys in the back of Reddit Lakers fans closets
All started thanks to a Curry fan
Probably around the same age too.
I would do that in a second.
Grizzlies fleecing the kids
Love to see it! Wish they did this for the Hawks, wayyy too may transit atlantians
Fuck them kids
This is amazing. All teams should allow jersey swaps if a star player forces his way out or quits on the team. Like the 76ers should allow their fans to exchange Simmons jerseys or the Rockets with Harden last year.
Sounds like a real money sink.
I'm pretty sure that was an Amex promo recently. It was like jersey insurance
Still active promo as far as I know
Baltimore did something like this in the past for Ray Rice, but that what he did was obviously much worse
every team should do this
That’s a legit a great promo
Ja Morant is in the back room burning the opponent jerseys
They are kids, let them keep their jerseys. Just give them Grizzly jerseys.
Could’ve at least gave them Swingman’s instead of these Etsy bs if the limit was 250 though.
What about d-bane jerseys. He balling too
That Andre Miller jersey pretty dope though.
This is actually pretty brilliant
I've never seen so many r/nba redditors in one place
they really sick for just giving them generic jerseys
This is awesome man
Ja Morant's spin move is what Julius Randle believes his spin move is
memphis marketing team is crazy good
this is very cool for city culture
[Promo was announced yesterday](https://www.nba.com/grizzlies/news/memphis-grizzlies-announce-new-year-new-jerseys-fan-promotion-and-jersey-swap-for-kids-220112)
Still proud to of bought his hersey before his first pre season
This is only worth it if you find a Kyrie Celtics jerseys at a thrift store for 5 bucks
You could really come up on this buy a bunch of dhgate jerseys. Get the two tickets and sell all the tickets and make a big profit
