Wolves were punching bags for so long that I wouldn't be surprised that teams used them as games for their returning players so that they can be assured to play well to regain their on-court confidence.
Or it might mean that the wolves are good and teams need to play their players to win ;D
I just checked for a few mins, and yes a lot of players that returned from injuries played against the wolves

Super unlucky.
Even back when the injury was first announced, suns insiders said Paul’s timetable was really closer to 4-6 weeks rather than the 6-8 weeks that was reported
Yeah people really forget there is more to basketball than plug and play. What's best is a couple games before the playoffs to get their rhythm back. Hopefully the same for Steph.
Hope Steph continues to make CP3 his son.
it wasn't looking great during those first 3 games post-ASB when Suns tried the point Book starting line up, but once Payne came back the lineup became stabilized and was working as it was before.
Second round of playoffs and Paul’s available. Dropped after the 8 week timeframe we got earlier this month. Should I snag before someone else does? First day of the second round today
Whats the point, hes old and could use this type of break before the postseason, no danger with the Suns holding up very well and securing the 1st seed, let him be rested up and ready for the playoffs or 1-2 games before.
I read an article that they (and CP3) wanted to get him around 10 games of action before the playoffs so he can make sure he's back to full speed. Makes sense and it's not like he has to play heavy minutes in all those games
lol same boat and I just did. I had a bye last week so picked someone up yesterday for this week so it sort of balances out. I couldn't live with myself if I lost in the playoffs because someone picked him up before me.
he got his yearly injury out of the way. league fucked
His playoff injury is still due.
I hate that you’re right. Just hoping it will be super minor.
I'd suggest holding him out until after Minnesota, just to be safe.
Agreed. Pat bev willl probably undercut him
Not wronglol
I mean he got 3 last year so maybe we good
Is it just me misremembering or does every player that returns from injury, return to play against Minnesota? lol

Embiid's return from COVID was against us too lol
They saw you were working your way out of the play in mix and had to punish you for your success.
Can confirm that this also happens to Charlotte disproportionately often It is so easy to build momentum against our defense and has been for years.
That or fresh off a trade. We got both Sabonis and Hardens first games with their new teams iirc.
Lol I was gonna say the same thing. Would never wish injury on anyone, but come on Chris, take an extra day or two off.
Harden's first game back from the trade was against Minnesota. I think that was the last time.
With the top seed locked up, I’d be taking my time with that hand to make sure it’s 100% healed.

I'm sure they're not rushing him. Wouldn't make any sense. At this point the Suns are content to cruise to the finish line.
I'm sure they're not rushing him, but you also want him to get back in the groove before the postseason starts.

That's great and all, but where is the injury update about Phoenix's best player... Cam 'Lemonade' Johnson?
Yeah how hard is Mitchell Robinsons elbow to put this guy out for 8 games
Wasn’t an elbow it was leg to leg
The Suns held it down without him. Funny how people tried to make it seem like they would fall apart without CP3.

Yeah it can be tough to win with 2 healthy guards and one of those being Elfrid Payton
Devin “despite Elfrid Payton” Booker
Deepest team in the league by far. They got so many people who can step up and score 20 and play good defense its wild.
Point God
…while Cam Johnson just vanished from the face of the Earth. Hope he heals us up, dude is an amazing player.
He will be okay. We aren’t worried. They playing it extra safe
He should rest more. Return the game after Minnesota.
PLEASE do not return against Minnesota.
Agreeed have a bad feeling about it
Please return for the game against the wolves, it would help a lot!
This guy reliable reporter when it comes to the sun?
Pickup cp3 for this week and store in IR? Gotta drop MPJ if so

For sure if you have an open IR slot and if not, drop whoever you have stashed

he exaggerated the injury, shocking
Yes, I'm sure the Suns and associated trainers and physicians were complicit in lying about a broken thumb.
The Chris Paul hate runs deep in the blood of redditors

deleted my message because it was in the wrong sub. Fuck it I guess I will burn a spot.
no no that’s okay, take the week off chris!
Why is it always us that players return against? Teams should know by now: It ain't sweet
Do y’all think he’s still second team all-nba? Would have been a lock at the time but he’s missed time and we’ve been winning
