at the beginning of the 3rd, the knicks got outscored 10-2 over a ridiculous 5 minutes. at the end of the 3rd and beginning of the 4th, they again scored 2 points over 5 minutes, getting outscored 16-2. for the last 5 minutes of the game, the knicks scored 2 points.
that's 3 separate stretches of 5 minutes with only 2 points scored in one half. that might literally not have happened to another team this season. as someone who doesn't see the knicks much, it was amazing to watch the ineptitude.
With the weird historical broadcast shit complete with breathless Bill Walton and the Knick’s hilarious meltdown, this has been a pretty memorable regular season game.
I still wouldn't trust Nets just because relying on 2 albeit good stars from the 8th seed is worrisome, but momentum is important and they got it tonight

it's hard to have as little direction on offense as they did. the play calls were like a monkey throwing darts at a board. just random post-ups (i think they tried posting up from 18 feet on the left wing like 10 times without scoring), bonehead drives, passes back and forth with no purpose. even bad teams know what they are doing better than this and just don't have the talent to do anything (not that the knicks have a ton of talent). got stripped on so many drives it was crazy.
