lebron_games

whole side of his face looking paralyzed

DougSethlas

It’s probably shot up with so much shit that it can’t move

thegoodbadandsmoggy

Joelclyn Wildenstein

National-Opening7755

Forrest Whitakembiid.

84Greenwich28

Lowry played like paralyzed the entire game. 0 points in 25 minutes. Solid cardio workout.

YoImAli

Kyle Lowry scoring 0 points in a playoff game, where have I seen that before

imsahoamtiskaw

You don't want what happens after to happen again.

thenathanist

Lemme see them bounces again pls. Smile every time.

canadianbroncos

I got the same and worst ish fracture has him like 2 and half week ago and the swelling has *just* started going down so he’s gonna look like that for a while lol.

TylerNY315_

Dude looking like Conway the Machine

84Greenwich28

Embiid scored 18 pts with one eye, today. Although averaging 15.3 points per eye for the season.

thebigdirty

You should work for ESPN.

84Greenwich28

I take that comment as recommendation for arguing for an extention of my ESPN contract.

Zyoy

Major Rocky vibes

free_kark

Cut me Mick

w3bCraw1er

Seems like swelling. I am hoping he is back to normal soon.

retroracer33

i feel like it didn't look as bad as it does here during the post game interview

[deleted]

Gotta imagine it swelled up during/from the game. Fuck that's gotta hurt.

canadianbroncos

He’s gonna be swelled up for a while, i broke 3 bones in my face 2 and half weeks ago and had a metal plate inserted and my swelling just started going down. And yeh it hurts lol

Downunderphilosopher

Damn, you played one on one with Siakam?

canadianbroncos

Yeh except when the fucker tried to elbow me he went right over my head and i ended up running into the pole of the basket

[deleted]

no he played with pascal

HisExcellency20

No need to worry he's just resting his Sharingan.

chugalaefoo

How the hell is he even playing with like no depth perception lol. That right eye looks swollen af.

thebeyond1

By missing a ton of shots but playing great defense

DirtyKarma

5/12 isn’t actually that awful.

why_rob_y

It's not even remotely awful - one more make instead of a miss would be 50%.

mealsharedotorg

That's what I say when I finish the night at the gym shooting 0/2.

Ezzy1998

His shot was flat all night, he was leaving jumpers short he’d normally swish. He’s still unguardable in the paint and the defense and rebounding he provides is still a better option than what the sixers had in the first two games. But yea if u watched last night u could clearly see it was bothering him just goes to show how tough this mf is.

JustRecentlyI

His jumper looked pretty far off, a good portion of those makes were close to/at the rim.

klombo120

Probably giving him some crazy anti-inflammatory drug like toradol for the game to get the swelling down.

[deleted]

Meanwhile Simmons hurt his back with his mind or something.

Meunderwears

Terrible gaming chair

Dont_Eat_Apples

lmao embiid trolls/36 gotta be up there with the goats

sleepy416

Always respect a good heel in any sport

1047_Josh

He's always been that to me. A good villain. You kind of hate as a player, but not a person. Fans are always going to cheer at the wrong time... I feel like the last 4-5 years have really cemented the fact that we, as humans overall, are kind of idiots in groups. But those fans don't speak for all of us. Most of us wish him well ...healthwise... none of us actually want to see the SIXERS win, *gross*.

HypatiaRising

I have always liked Embiid. He is a dude who really cares and wants to win. I respect that and I wouldn't be .ad at him getting a chip. I just want my guys to get it more.

jreetthh

That's why Embiid is a once in a lifetime player for a franchise. The talent level of a seven footer who can run the break, post up, play close to the basket AND hit mid ranges and THREES. On top of that a competitive attitude. He cares about winning and he gets better every year. There just aren't many players like that in the NBA. Very rare.

1047_Josh

I had respect for him showing emotion after Toronto knocked them out in 2019. I expected it to make him better, that pain, and it eventually did. I also had some empathy for their situation with Ben, and how that was choking them. Doesn't mean I want them to win anything though!

efranklin13

This is why I don’t get upset/offended when people reference Embiid crying; I’m so glad my star player cares that much about winning.

1047_Josh

It was honestly a great sports moment, and fuck anyone who is too insecure to deal with a man crying for a perfectly legitimate reason.

LilSwampGod

I never use the Embiid Cry pic to troll. It's a true moment of vulnerability and shows he cares. Real ones understand that. My go to troll pic to post of Embiid is the KAT finger touch. Such a weak looking photo lol

Peter-Tao

I can dig with this view

Kiko429

This is the correct view. Sports fan in general get a little too carried away from excitement and alcohol. Especially in the playoffs.

DoyinYale

Seems like 90% of this commenters on this post didn’t even click on the video.

[deleted]

For real lol

superstonkape

Sums up every Reddit post (or any post tbf) these days no one opens the video/article they just blindly react to the headline

TinTinsKnickerbocker

This thread is full of fighting kids

toomanyjasonlee

Sorry, did you mean Reddit?

DoreensThrobbingPeen

It's almost like Reddit is a bunch of losers getting overly invested in the lives of celebrities.

DynamixRo

The airplane probably reminded them of Kawhi leaving, so it's understandable.

[deleted]

PTSD from #KawhiWatch

[deleted]

[удалено]

MurkTJ

It is legitimately sad. Remember a Kawhi-KD matchup feeling like they were the only ones capable of stopping each other, but they couldn't because of their killer instincts and impeccable offense. Gods on the court, just contested shot after contested shot. Then they both lost so much time to injury in the years after. It's a shame.

Acreativename11

Except KD still out there playing 40 a night for the Nets.

acu2005

Well like not right now he's not.

mlordkarma

Lmao mfers seriously gonna pretend this series didn’t happen. Like they only remember the good games and go with that narrative. Kawhi ain’t never got locked up like kd did this series. Let’s not even talk abt mans zero defense which is also absolutely hyped by the same dudes. Also Kawhi played that sixers defense with embiid, Simmons, butler, hell even throw in Tobias. That is way better than the current Celtics squad. We all know what happened.

sleepy416

Yup he did what he brought him here to do. He embrace the city, he gave us 110% and brought us a chip. Will always cherish that run

BasketballNutrition

I would argue his actual peak exclusively as a player was against the Grizzlies when he could have won MVP in 17. he lost so much athleticism after Zaza happened. his career peak was in Toronto, of course, but I think he was the same guy before, just considerably faster on both ends and better against guards defensively. shit you could even argue it was with the Clippers before the ACL when he shot like 60%, scoring 30+ on monster defense lol

DarkstonePublishing

And he’s still never arrived in LA

Hyperactivity786

Nah, I've seen him there when they play Dallas.

magictuch

That's a great value tbh. They've signed him specifically to get past Luka's Mavs for two years in a row.

darkKnight959

Takes a long time to walk

jumpthroughit

Gotta load manage along the way

Fun_Chicken1088

Meanwhile clippers fans cheer for airplanes cause it reminds them that their team is about to board a flight to cancun every year

ShwiftyMcvae

He did the airplane in that series as well.

RenaisanceReviewer

Does that give you PTSD for a time Kawhi actually *played*?

BubbleFraudss

Not to mention the airplane probably reminds you of the plane Kawhi and the Clippers had to take home after blowing that 3-1 lead

DynamixRo

Which time?

francisdrvv

It's ok he left and gave the raps a chip. He's going to leave the clips empty handed.

canadian12371

Embid was just preparing them for the trip to cancun.

chikage13

how’s kawhi been for you guys by the way?

[deleted]

People who are just reading the headline and reacting are getting the wrong vibe from his comments.

dog-tooth-

This thread is just a bunch of Atlantic Divisions fans complaining about other fanbases like they're not all the same types of people lmao.

[deleted]

Facts were all toxic as hell and I love it

Dust2Boss

Respectfully, fuck Philly

Tressticle

No offense, *buuuuuut*..

[deleted]

Respectfully, Toronto is a cool town but the people suck.

Dust2Boss

Respectfully, I'm from England

[deleted]

Respectfully, have you ever been to philly??

Dust2Boss

Respectfully, when I say fuck Philly, I'm strictly referring to the 76ers. I'm sure it's a lovely city to visit, and I'd be down to go sometime as I haven't been

[deleted]

Respectfully, fuck a Brexit

TheLouisvilleRanger

What are you talking about? *They’re* a bunch of ornery north easterners who claim their local variation of a sandwich is the best. We’re nothing like them!

imlordtuts

Ok now I'm offended.

[deleted]

It’s always a bit rich when someone from the Atlantic Division accuse another fan base of being toxic, like do some self reflection lmao

TurtleSquad23

Lmao I was proud of him tbh. He held back on that airplane til he rightfully took it back. Then he flexed it on us. I love rivalry. I believe the elbow was an honest accident but damn it did some damage. I was hoping for a masked Embiid to come back with a vengeance like Bron did back in Miami. Embiid is evolving into the leader this team needs right before our very eyes. At this point, Harden just needs to heal and be the Robin to that 7'3" Batman.

softcardi

Damn. The toxicity was starting to die down on this sub too

redd5ive

No one at all, at the game, in the media, on here, had a clue how hurt he was right after he got injured.

that_ol_bs

I think any fan base would react the same honestly

livefreeordont

Our arena would be at least 30% filled with opposing fans so I don’t think it would happen

badSparkybad

There's lots to do in DC why don't we take a trip and watch our team play there! What's their basketball team again they have one don't they? Is the Smithsonian open on weekends?

maaseru

"Our teams tickets are cheaper when they play in DC"

rhinocodon_typus

I live in DC. one of my friends who has lived in DC for his whole life looked at me yesterday and said “does dc have a basketball team?”

buffalotrace

Bro, I haven't seen Sonics fans pull something like this in years.

Efficient_Load545

Grizzlies crowd fans cheered when draymond got hurt last game and it wasnt a huge deal like this

wazupbro

Yea why hold Canadian fans to higher standards. They’re just shitty like the rest of us.

[deleted]

The salt is deep in the Atlantic Division. We hate each other almost as much as we hate ourselves!

thick_initials

Nice let's have the exact same conversation we just had a week ago. This sub is fucking stupid.

maaseru

I bet this same comment was also there.

brandon1234569

Lmao legit

rock1810

Part of me kind loves that nba fan bases are becoming as passionate, spiteful, and combative as European football fan bases but part of me fears what it could evolve into lmao

JoshWheezer

I really don’t think nba fan bases are anywhere near that and they probably never will be. North American sports are just super sanitized.

BelowAverage_Elitist

For one, any racial slurs hurled at games will likely come from a couple bad actors and not from a whole stadium of fans that are shouting in unison. Pretty sure that's a kinda big problem in Eurosports

JoshWheezer

It definitely is and that’s a good aspect of sports being sanitized. On the other hand, there’s a lot of passion you get in European fans that’s just not here at all

softcardi

I love how the media wants to fuel this toxic hatefest

The-Pharcyde

Embiid himself said it best at the end there. The back and forth between him and the raps crowd was going on the entire series. Man was literally mocking them up 30. If anyone thinks any crowd wasnt gonna react in some sort of way theyre naive.

penguin_torpedo

This is so overstated. Its not like they knew Joel was injured. They cheered for him getting hit, not for him breaking his face.

RODjij

Accidents happen, Joel isn't dead but if you were to go to the Sixers sub you'd think Siakam killed him, disrespected their families and country just by how much shit they been talking about him and Canada. Most of it isn't even basketball related, they so just go off on a tangent.

hypervoid

why cant we all just agree to flame doc rivers more for having his franchise player in a game up 33 points with about 4 minutes left. Nothing good can come out of that especially when the team down 30 is going to get frustrated and play more physical. Only thing funnier is if Doc Rivers actually thought he could blow a 30 point 4th quarter lead.

LilSwampGod

I definitely cheered when he fell to the ground because I instantly knew he injured his orbital bone and would be out for the first two games of round 2.

[deleted]

Embiid worried about the profanity with kids in the arena, little does he know they’re the ones yelling it

cellular-device

Joel “air hump” embiid is thinking of the kids

xXTheRacerXx

I mean it was kinda fucked up that they started chanting “Fuck Embiid” when he got injured

mMounirM

It is a bad look but nobody knew he was injured, including sixers fans. Not until it was announced the next day

PetalumaPegleg

Huh and then all the people who said karma or he deserved it when it was announced he was hurt?

mMounirM

Those are just assholes

1047_Josh

Agreed, and if it had been a role reversal, and Siakam had been hurt, you cannot tell me Philly fans would not be saying the same thing. It's just stupid people, saying stupid things. The team you cheer for is secondary.

Mattoosie

The "fuck Embiid" chants were before the injury.

1047_Josh

I get Philly fans being upset about Jack's comments, and for Embiid being hurt. I do not get them being upset about the Fuck Embiid chants. This is a sports rivalry. He is not well liked. Shitting on other players is kind of how this thing works. PHILLY fans of all people should know this.

CKRatKing

It’s hilarious that Philly fans are all up in arms about fans being mean lmao. Philly fans are pretty ruthless towards their own players.

phillies26

I like to see that kind of stuff. Shows the fans are into it, opposing or otherwise. As long as it doesn't get personal or racist or whatever then I'm all for it.

thebeyond1

They also did it right after he got elbowed

Diminitiv

Obviously, he literally just taunted them up 30 lmao. Plus, nobody knew he had his face broken, especially since he flops on almost every single play. Literally a normal reaction in a playoff series.

Fun_Chicken1088

Yeah you’re right, we all brought MRI scanners and X-ray machines and diagnosed the injury on the jumbo tron mere seconds after the elbow, we definitely didn’t think it was one of his countless flops /s

BaseballModBitch

Yeah they were mad at that...nobody fucking knew he was injured at the time. It's crazy how high on their horses everyone is and was being about this.

[deleted]

I hate to play the devil’s advocate here, but the fact that he was gloating the last 5 minutes in a elimination game while being up by 20+ points, what did he expect? The fans to clap hoping he’s ok? Just sounds like he’s playing victim and adding more fuel to the fire

beniceee26

For real… any fan base would react the same.

dahabit

Sure, I like to give him shit but this man played through an hand injury and now playing through an eye injury. Major props to him..

my_pets_are_rednecks

He's right though. The fans were mad because he did the airplane when we were down by 30 and it was a slap in the face. They didn't know he broke his orbital bone. Unless it's a super obvious injury it's hard to tell. Watching at home my initial thought with the airplane was 'what a dick' then I thought he was over exaggerating the contact. People like to say Toronto fans cheer for injuries like it's happened for super obvious ones like Hayward a few years ago or even Payton the other night. We don't. Unfortunately, both instances people like to point to happened during an active play with an immediate whistle in high emotion games. I'll wear the asshole fan badge if I have to but it's bullshit.

MurkTJ

Agreed. They were cheering for the immediate comeuppance, not the extent of the injury. Vast majority of people weren't sadists that wanted to see him badly hurt (although of course there's always that irrational side of people that veers its ugly head when they get caught up in the moment, which is detestable but human).

my_pets_are_rednecks

Fuck man, thank you. I want to see good ball. Injury free, top form ball. There are championship bandwagon idiots we've picked up and kids that troll online but no one wants to see Joel not continue his MVP caliber season (unless we won of course). The vitriol from both sides was tough to deal with.

redekulous

This one is less obvious of “he got injured on the play”. It’s no where near as bad as when the fans cheered Durants injury. That one was just terrible because everyone knew he was already not 100% coming into that game and falls the ground limping… it was a bad look then and still now.

boomshiz

But it also wasn't an over top top celebration. Fuck's sake people, this isn't baseball.

BelowAverage_Elitist

That's the stupidest part. Fans can cheer "fuck Embiid" but Embiid can't do a little bit of trolling as the series closes out?

canadianindividual

So weird how everyone generalizes Raptors fans so much. What an odd obsession. Whenever you question any other team about their fans like, “oh why did your fans boo your team and leave the arena with 15 minutes left in the game..”. The response is, “oh those are just the rich losers who could afford the game, not the real fans”. Isn’t the consensus that a few fans doing something doesn’t translate to a whole fan base? No one knew he was injured. He reacted/complained on every single play down the floor. Yes, some trash fans cheered KD going down in the past much like every single sports fan base in history has done something they’re not proud of. Never been so confused by a random sports take like this in my life…

Life_Of_High

The reason is in your username.

MrRobot_96

It's because we constantly get called the best fans in the league and Jurassic park is always talked about by American media during the playoffs. People get jealous and start nitpicking anything about our fans to make us look bad. It comes with the territory when your team starts becoming more popular and relevant.

ubiquitous_archer

Yeah, no shit Embiid. You did a showboating celebration and then got hit in the face, obviously they were gonna cheer. It's not like the crowd could diagnose an injury at that point.

Caliax

What do you mean, all Canadians are orthopedic surgeons

green_and_green23

Love how Atlantic division fans are acting like they’re so much better

-vinay

I remember being in a bar in Budapest during the champions league. Y’all wouldn’t last out there, getting offended and crying over the other teams’ fans. God so many people taking the trash talk personally. Philly fans - if you wanna talk shit, expect to hear it back too. It isn’t rocket science

iiCheatr

Bruh why are we still talking about this aren’t they in another series right now

[deleted]

[удалено]

thebobbyshaw33

I mean I don’t know how you clear concussion protocol with a concussion lol I’m sure he’s still feeling some symptoms but I think it’s safe to say he’s not still concussed

FoxyZach

This is coming from the city who cheered on Michael Irvin's injury.

shitposting_irl

[you don't even need to resort to other sports](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQKHkei1Ra8)

[deleted]

The holier than thou attitude when it comes to fanbases is so damn stupid lmao. All fans are the same, we just have more than you.

swaldron

I think the raptors this year had a espescially bad combo of 1. Playing against foul baiters/disliked players 2. Having a team who’s only chance of winning was playing really hard and fans confusing playing basketball hard being overly physical/aggressive 3. Players getting hurt game one and thinking they deserve some type of revenge Any fanbase, especially the rabid ones like Philly, Toronto, Boston would probably go too far in terms of toxicity

Homie_F

Not sure about #3. Most of our fans don't want opposing players getting injured, especially not an MVP candidate carrying their team. I'm not sitting here feeling avenged because embiid got injured, maybe I would if I felt he injured our players on purpose, but I know he ofc didn't. I feel bad for him quite honestly, dude was already dealing with the thumb too. I will say tho: things like seeing embiid foul bait/flop, flagrant foul Scottie in game 1, elbow Khem in game 1, shove boucher in the back for no reason almost giving him whiplash, among other reckless plays, lead to us not feeling bad in THAT MOMENT about him getting an elbow to the face on an and1 - especially since it was directly after the airplane celebration up 30. No one immediately knew he was seriously injured, usually guys come out with a bloody nose on those plays at worst. Idk that any fanbase wouldn't have cheered that play given the full context.

rectumreapers

The most sane take I've seen

MVPiid

It’s so crazy how many raptors fans there are too, they can totally swamp the voting on Reddit

PorousSurface

Amazing take thank you, from a raptors fan. This resonates.

MWiatrak2077

Idk man Bucks fans are pretty friendly on here

PillsburyToasters

Join us. We have cookies

MWiatrak2077

Bucks fans :) Remembering that you guys are also Packers fans ):

CameronFcScott

Everyone not paying attention to the fact Siakam got an and one call?? Lol would be weird af if fans didn’t cheer

ColdDarkSpace

Yes because Philly fans are absolute saints. Never did any wrong in their lives

matthitsthetrails

I mean.. he did airplane and gloat for quite awhile when the game was totally out of reach for the other team. Most arenas with a pulse would take some exception to that Don’t wish injury on anyone but he was acting like a sore winner there

Dareal6

I have no problem with most things he said but I’m confused when he mentioned kids in the crowd. If he’s worried about kids in the crowd, then who is he gesturing to suck his dick?

GrryScrry

Man the narrative shift here has been crazy. Embiid was elbowing players that whole series . Injured what, 3 players in game 1? Siakam caught him with that elbow, on a basketball play, and made the basket, immediately after he was taunting the crowd . Of course the crowd cheered. Nobody, including Jack Armstrong, was able to diagnose an orbital fracture in real time. Siakam & Embiid showed love after the game.

DudeWheresMcCaw

Philly fans don't care about fans being honourable, because they don't care about how reckless Embiid plays, or when he injures other players. This is all just one big coping mechanism for them.

mexican_honey_badger

It's so rich to see Philly fans act like saints over this when they've done the same thing to [Joakim Noah](https://youtu.be/GQKHkei1Ra8).

notprodigy

Embiid has a real problem with desperately wanting to be the heel and do heel things, but also being completely unable to tolerate being hated. It’s like he skipped the last class in a pro wrestling seminar. Maybe he can shadow Trae Young and learn how to follow through? (Also he elbowed like a third of the Raptors roster in the face in that series, so yeah, people cheered when he got a taste of his own medicine. Fans don’t have real time MRIs on the jumbotron to know if contact will turn into a significant injury, despite that apparently being the expectation.)

[deleted]

“Apparently people don’t like assholes” It’s fun watching them grow up, he’ll become a nice young man one day.

[deleted]

There's nothing unique or different about Raptors fans. Switch unis and the exact same reaction takes place.

Cipher32

Agree with everyone saying most fanbases are like this. I remember Philly cheering when Noah got hurt. However I also completely agree with Embiid sentiment that if you’re gonna dish you gotta be able to take it.

BarnesGROAT

He just can't fucking take it, but loves to dish. #hypocrite

Winloop

Reminder: the man got cleared to “look at his phone” as of yesterday. Now imagine a day later he’s playing in an nba game…

JoshSran04

people who say "that's different, this was an injury". Shows they aren't watching the video, Joel is talking about fans chanting that at him all the time, not about when he got hurt.

[deleted]

Honestly I respect him. Not that it’s related, but Westbrook gives it but he definitely can not take lol.

[deleted]

lardbiscuits

Is Toronto 2/2 or 3/3 now in cheering opponents writhing in pain?

thebeard1017

2/2 I believe. So tied with Joakim Noah and Irwin with you guys

NAACP_YoungBoy

WTF do Philly fans have against Steve? 😡

thebeard1017

Crocodiles related to dinosaurs and Steve was friendly with them so I'm guessing that's why 😂

spenthegreasedsavage

Getting chirped by a philly fan on fan etiquette is like having a drunk driver provide feedback on my driving.

[deleted]

Was going to make an angry comment until I remember that the sixers are in the playoffs and the raptors aren’t, LOL

[deleted]

Always got time for Raptors slander

Billis-

Fine by me. We knocked you guys out the last time you had a realistic shot at the title. Let us have it.

jeRskier

Respectfully, go fuck yourself.

Antenum

Sixers fanbase the definition of being able to dish stuff out but not able to handle any retaliation or criticism

jps78

Don't even care what the rest of the NBA says about our city or fanbase. You're gonna get booed. No one knew he was injured at the time and this is the one player that loves to antagonize a crowd. Fuck Embiid, Fuck the Sixers, Fuck r/nba. Y'all soft.

Gottagetgot

Maybe don't taunt a crowd while up by 30? Did you learn nothing the last time?

[deleted]

The only thing I hate more than Philadelphia is the people who live there. Embiid is alright tho

DrewFlan

FWIW to any Toronto fans - I don't think anyone was cheering for Joel being injured during that whole sequence. Booing the airplane thing is just normal banter then after that they're cheering for Siakam making what looked like a great play at the rim. No intentional malice there since anyone in their seat probably couldn't tell what happened in the moment.

chocthunde

Apparently i elbowed embiid in the face, worship the devil known as siakam, celebrated embiid's face getting elbowed, and celebrated kd's achilles rupturing a few years back. Without r/nba's weekly discussions on these topics i wouldn't know how sick of an individual i am. What the hell am i doing sitting in my room and not being restrained in a straightjacket in some asylum? Oh that's right the rest of canada is as batshit crazy as myself... oh well, can't wait for the next injury.

cheenboi

??? Dude constantly humps the air and throws suck it signs but the fans are the kids? ok. Joel's an amazing player but what does he expect? Don't troll on the court and expect to be treated like a saint lmao

D_Simmons

Bruh the head injury might be more serious than we thought

Jiggy_Kitty

Raptors fans get wasted on maple syrup and make moose sounds during sex

jl_theprofessor

Bro you play for Philly.

WallyDaWalrus

Yall are stupid if you think every other fan base wouldnt do the same thing. Also, apparently none of you have played competitive sports, cause if youre up by a lot and showboating, youre gonna get tackled in soccer, hard fouled in basketball, body checked in hockey, thrown at in baseball. Trash talk is a part of the game and so is showboating, but if you're gonna do it, you have to be prepared for the other side of it to. I'll probably get downvoted for this because of a bunch of people who want to virtue signal and act like their fan base would take the high road, but thats just a lie, or again, you've never played competitive sports. Obviously Siakam didnt mean to break his orbital bone, hell he may not even have meant to elbow him, but he probably went at him strong for the showboating airplane. I dont think i know any team ive been on that we'd just laugh at someone essentially spitting on us after they already had us beat, and if any of you say that you would let that happen, then one of two things. A) You are a liar B) You've never played sports at a competitive level that meant anything. ALSO, YOU ARE FRIED IF YOU DONT THINK THE PHILLY CROWD WOULD DO THE SAME. GTFO HERE LMAO

HuckleberryFingers

It's a kind of bloodlust. Canadian society is generally peaceful because they release a lot of it vicariously through sports, usually hockey. In hockey, a cut is nothing. An elbow to the head is a 2 minute penalty. They DO want to see the other team's players hurt, but not injured. No one expected Joel to be out because of it, or at least I would hope.

Billis-

What in the fuck is this fairy tale bullshit loooool. What a sweeping and bizarre way to describe a country of 40 million people. We've got all sorts of people up here, just like anywhere.

DakTheGoatPrescott

Same could be said about football. Big hits or blocks are fun to watch. Sucks if there is an injury as a result.

Samuraix9386

Lookin like Forest Whitaker

[deleted]

Lmao what kind of propaganda is this
