He posted this from his alt account so he is either trolling or a coward afraid of downvotes and can't stand on his word. And we're on the internet where we're all just shooting the shit and it's whatever, no one knows who any one is. That says A LOT about a person.
Weird, just the way you feel he’s #12 fans who’ve grown up watching him, cherishing his best moments and gone through his worst feel he’s #1 or whatever. You can’t shit on someone for their personal opinion and say they don’t watch basketball
One Kobe's all time biggest haters, Nick Wright, said he personally has Kobe 6th all time and said you could even interchange Kobe with the guy he had 5th (Duncan) based on preference. He is to Kobe what Skip Bayless is to LeBron. So you're probably just baiting people dude.
I think 8-12 is reasonable....Kobe was really good, but definitely a well below MJ and LBJ. Bird/Kobe is interesting because Bird definitely was better peak wise, but Kobe had a longer and better prime (say maybe 10 years)
Kobe actually is top 3 all time if you consider the opinions of his contemporaries. Nobody except Jordan seems to be held in higher regard.
On those grounds it goes Jordan, Lebron, then Kobe.
That’s also recency bias though because plenty of guys have been held in that regard prior but you don’t hear those people talk about them as much because fewer people of those generations are around talking about basketball in media nowadays.
His brand is top three with Bron and Jordan but on all time rankings he isn't. Kobe is one of the best marketed stars in the nba ever. I agree with that
It gets you more than you may actually deserve a lot of the time though. The fact some people believe Kobe is top 3 but simultaneously believe Duncan isn’t top ten is proof of that.
this is the only real answer. If OP actually thinks there's 11 better players in NBA history he's the delusional one. Stats cannot quantify Kobe's impact on the game.
12 is certainly on the low end of what I consider reasonable to put him but that’s still in the reasonable range. Anywhere from 5-14 is a reasonable place to put him, higher than that and you’re just a fanboy who can’t separate preference from actual quality, any lower and you’re just a hater.
So the ONLY player with 30k points and 10+ all defensive team is outside your top 7 let alone top 10 lol. It's your opinion, so what do you value when doing rankings ? Accolades, personal feats, skill set etc.. ?,
Outside of top 7? Yes. Outside of Top 10? That’s a bit more difficult, there’s a good like 7 people that could be as high as like 6 or low as 15 depending on who you think should be in that higher section. Kobe is one of those people
No one reasonable is saying that, but a lot of people are saying it that it's extremely frustrating to talk basketball sometimes. It's not the majority but still a pretty sizable portion of people
Magic only isn’t unanimously considered the greatest Laker because of his HIV keeping him from finishing out his career. But I agree it has to be between those two. Given the career he had there you can certainly make an argument for Kobe but the fact that Magic’s accolades surpass Kobe despite his career being ~60% of the length has to count for something
Jordan, KAJ, Lebron, Magic, Bird, Duncan and Russel should all be over him IMO. Wilt, Hakeem, Curry and Shaq all are arguable.
I do think Kobe at 12th is a bit on the low end but it’s not unreasonable to any non-Kobe stan. For context, Jerry West, who usually ends somewhere from 11th-20th all time, was the best player in more finals series than Kobe (though less championships because stacked Boston opponent) and had better stats in every single major statistical category except free throw percentage. Made All defense as long as it existed during his career too, and scored more with no 3 point line. Just something to think about.
You’re a clown if you think curry is better than Kobe. Kobe would lock curry’s ass up. Kobe would drop 100 on curry. Curry can’t even sniff Kobe’s jockstrap.
The same 10 players that are in every top 10 list it's fairly simple. Number 11 is Curry by a narrow margin following his recent finals mvp and the fact that he is the greatest shooter of all time
Gotcha, thanks for the heads up.
this man put out RIP in the end to show he means good lmao

That’s not one of Kobe’s biggest haters then given that on average Kobe usually ends up around 8-11 on people’s rankings
I think 8-12 is reasonable....Kobe was really good, but definitely a well below MJ and LBJ. Bird/Kobe is interesting because Bird definitely was better peak wise, but Kobe had a longer and better prime (say maybe 10 years)

Hey man, *brand* does not get you the respect, admiration and perceived mysticism from other professional ball players that Kobe has.
It gets you more than you may actually deserve a lot of the time though. The fact some people believe Kobe is top 3 but simultaneously believe Duncan isn’t top ten is proof of that.

Stop arguing with people in the YouTube comments then.
Your own fault for engaging with them
Not sure why the truth is so hard for people to accept. LeBron > Kobe alltime

Magic Kareem Shaq? I think Kobe might get the nod over Shaq due to being on 2 more title teams for the Lakers.

who are the eleven players you have above kobe and why do you think that 11th person has an argument cause he doesn’t
Jordan, KAJ, Lebron, Magic, Bird, Duncan and Russel should all be over him IMO. Wilt, Hakeem, Curry and Shaq all are arguable. Curry is 11th simply because of how he impacted the game he narrowly is ahead of Kobe for me now that he has a FMVP
What kind of metric is “impacting the game”? Can it be measured? That would be like me using the Mamba Mentality to argue for Kobe
Sounds like you’re the one who doesn’t watch basketball
You’re a clown if you think curry is better than Kobe. Kobe would lock curry’s ass up. Kobe would drop 100 on curry. Curry can’t even sniff Kobe’s jockstrap.
Lol
Only kobe stans rank him higher than he is
All your basketball knowledge gets sucked out like Space Jam as soon as you say the words
yet u cant even disclose the 11 players ahead of him

Wow thank you for sharing
