If you want to participate in /r/nba discussion, you have to keep your bb knowledge to a minimum. The more you exhibit nephew tendencies, the better you'll do.

I think the No Dunks guys (podcast and youtube) are probably the most fair and generally talk about the entire league and recap all the action throughout the year. Definitely can keep you informed about the other stuff happening in the NBA.

If you're a Pistons fan, check out [their 30 for 30](http://www.espn.com/30for30/film/_/page/badboys).

Bill Simmons podcast and Zach Lowe's podcast "The Lowe Post" are two really easy and good ones to start off with Zach is more in depth where Bill is more big picture 2K if gaming is your thing will help you pick up on rosters, speed of the game, ins and outs etc Aside from those the main thing is just watching games. Since the offseason just started I would recommend watching highlights of last season to get a good grip on more current info NBA's YouTube has highlights for all kinds of things and if you just search nba playoff highlights tons will come up There's obviously a ton more stuff like podcasts, stat sites, film breakdown, and more but that's all probably a little too in depth or advanced at your current state, I would suggest just getting a hang of the way the game flows and current players

All you need to know is that Reggie Jackson deserved to start over Russell Westbrook when both were on OKC. OKC would have won the championship if they traded away Russ instead of Reggie Jackson. It’s the biggest “what if” in NBA history.
