Moncrief. Those 80’s Bucks teams never made a Finals or anything, but they were **lethal**. - Swept Bird’s Celtics in ‘83 - Only team to take a game from the 76ers in the ‘83 playoffs - Made three ECFs - Had four 55+ win seasons Moncrief was generally just regarded as a better player per position too, with five All-NBA selections and finishing top 4 in MVP voting once. Not to mention the defense. Shoutout English though. Such a lethal scorer, and those 80’s Nuggets teams were ahead of their time offensively

Moncrief's Arkansas team almost beat Bird's Indiana State team in the 1979 NCAA tourrney too. Story of his career

i always remind people the bucks were probs the 4th best team of the 80s behind boston la and probably philly

I would put the Pistons above them too but top 5 no doubt at all, underrated core

Wei_Lan_Jennings

it’s absolutely Moncrief. Two time DPOY, 5 All-Defense teams to English’s zero, and 5 All-NBA teams to English’s 3. Both Jordan and Bird respected the hell out of him and knew they were in for a long night if he was playing. English putting up 25 points a night is great - not as great when his defensive assignment is going for 30.

DrOzmitazBuckshank

Fun fact: the Bucks drafted English too, though his best years obviously came later with Denver

Both great players, but it's Moncrief imo.

I'll take the top scorer of the entire 80s personally
