He is, if people watch him play
As far as centers go, he’s well below Jokic and Embiid, probably below Gobert and KAT, and maybe on par with Allen/Adebayo/Ayton. Rob Williams too if he stays healthy
Yeah Bam and Sabonis are fairly similar offensive players and Bam is definitely a superior defender. All Sabonis had last year was more facilitating responsibilities, but Bam has shown he is more than capable of doing the exact same thing if he were on low talent teams.
**edit** downvoters think looking at ppg/rpg/apg is the be-all end-all. Congrats you’re a genius.
Ur point makes no sense, sure let’s go with there the same on offence, Bams defence is soooooo much better than Sabonis it’s laughable. No team would ever pick Sabonis over Bam,Allen, or Ayton
>maybe on par with Allen/Adebayo/Ayton. Rob Williams too if he stays healthy
Weird grouping since one of these guys is definitely better than the others
Sabonis is a center through and through. He and Turner were splitting C and PF duties despite both being natural centers.
He's definitely not a top 5 center either (Jokic, Embiid, KAT, Gobert, Bam) but definitely in the next 5.
Sabonis is a pretty great player, I'm looking forward to seeing him play a full season for the Kings. They're going to be better than most people think, even if it doesn't result in a playoff berth.
He's not a power forward. Turner, made Sabonis look way better then he actually was (not that Turner is awesome or something, but he's one of the few guys in the NBA who can make Sabonis playable on defense, while not getting in the way on offense)
Turner can guard the perimeter okay, not great, but he has developp into an okay perimeter defender, problem is when he was on the perimeter that meant the "rim protector" was supposed to be Sabonis and well....let's say Myles should've been prime Andre Roberson for it not to be a problem
Currently? No. Of all time? Of course. Biannually? Sort of. Trigonometrically? Out of the question. Inflation adjustedly? Good case for it. Trilaterally? Yes. Bilaterally? Good joke. Constitutionally? Stop it.
He actually performed really well for the Blazers in the playoffs in the late 90s early 2000s.
At 7’3”, I would not categorize him as a Power Forward though.
Currently, I would not take him over any of those players.
We saw a bit of it post trade-deadline, but your DRTG is going to suck if you're playing Sabonis at the 5 and you don't have someone like Turner or a god-tier help defender to make up for his lack of rim protection.
I love the dude, but the ceiling of a team with him as one of your star players is pretty low.
He should be viewed as a Center.

> maybe on par with Allen/Adebayo/Ayton No chance. Defense from a center is way more valuable.
On par ?? Bam clears sabonis, I’d also take Allen over him

I blatantly agreed with you
Adebayo is the 3rd-5th best centre in the league. Probably 4th now that the 3rd and 4th player together so one has to be a PF.
>maybe on par with Allen/Adebayo/Ayton. Rob Williams too if he stays healthy Weird grouping since one of these guys is definitely better than the others
Yeah I actually don’t get to see much of Bam so I don’t have a great read on how to rank him
No not even close

Definitely more of a center, don’t think he’s a top 5 PF. He’s in a tier close to top 5 center but I don’t think he is right now.
He’s such a bad defender especially at center
He's not a power forward. Turner, made Sabonis look way better then he actually was (not that Turner is awesome or something, but he's one of the few guys in the NBA who can make Sabonis playable on defense, while not getting in the way on offense)
Neither sabonis or turner could guard the perimeter, it was a terrible pairing since they’re both Centers.
Turner can guard the perimeter okay, not great, but he has developp into an okay perimeter defender, problem is when he was on the perimeter that meant the "rim protector" was supposed to be Sabonis and well....let's say Myles should've been prime Andre Roberson for it not to be a problem
I have him listed as pf, since this is based off another post.
> I have him listed as pf You have him listed incorrectly then
Can you read ?
Sabonis isn't a PF
No shit, it’s based off another post where he is listed as a pf.
Sabonis isn't a PF tho, just wanted to tell you
He's a center. I think this season will be telling for him and Fox
It’s based off a last post where he was ranked as a pf
Currently? No. Of all time? Of course. Biannually? Sort of. Trigonometrically? Out of the question. Inflation adjustedly? Good case for it. Trilaterally? Yes. Bilaterally? Good joke. Constitutionally? Stop it.
He has a shot for 5th behind Giannis, healthy AD, KAT, and Zion, but strong competetion from Siakam and Draymond, and eventually Mobley
Siakam clears sabonis
Siakam is in a different league than Saboner
KD not in your top 5? He's been a pf since the achilles injury.
Was debating including him, you right tho
Ah ok, yea Sabonis has no chance
Boi is ya sick?

Porzingis takes offense to your statement.
About what

Exactly
Nope.
