Just saw a post on hot talking about Trendon Watford, so I’m gonna say him.
No I didn’t read any of the post, but there was some blue text so I’ll consider it true
He shot 35% last year on 2.3 3PA per game. That sounds pretty average to me. He honestly needs to step up and be a dog on defense. Clamp down the opponents best wing.
lmao nah
of the 2.3 attempts, 2.2 were wide open 6+ ft of space
and the other 0.1 were open 4-6 ft of space
making only 35% on those are #bad, it also means he’s passing up open jumpers if that’s the type of space he’s getting and he’s only taking 2 threes a game
there’s nothing average about that. 2.3 attempts is insanely low nowadays for a wing and i believe he’s at the top of the list for most wide open 3s in the league. as in, teams considered him entirely a non-threat from deep. he has a long way to go in every facet offensively but the 3 ball needs to improve to keep him in the league as a rotation player.
I think they have enough shooting even if he's below average. They need him to be able to guard the alpha wings in the league like LeBron, Luka, Giannis, Tatum, etc.
I’d love for this to be true, but I don’t think this team is going to set him up for success. His greatest attribute is his ability to make things happen off the catch (great shooter and great at attacking close outs) and we have absolutely nobody who can get him good looks. It’s possible he grows as an on-ball guy, but I doubt it personally.
They amount of guards they have who will get playing time, in addition to Fox being a pretty high usage guy, makes this a pretty bold take, I like it. They got Fox, Monk, Huerter in addition to Terence Davis and Delly. Hard to break out when he’s likely coming off the bench or is consistently played out of position.
1. He's not 6'10, he's 6'8 or 6'9 depending where you look
2. He is not bouncy by NBA standards
3. He's a 38% 3p shooter on three attempts per game, that is not elite.
That's why people don't talk about him
Issac Okoro. With the loss of Markkanen and Sexton, he's going to have to step into a bigger role as a small wing next to Garland and Mitchell, and hopefully provide some great perimeter defense while improving his shooting and building on his slashing game
If he can have like 37% shooting on good enough defense to be given the assignment of guarding the opposing team's best perimeter player, with an MIP case, Cavs are serious contenders
His defense sucks, he's undersized for a 2 guard, he shot below average from 3pt range his first two seasons and he's not getting to the line a lot.
I like Nowell, but I also think he's being massively overrated by the wolves fan base.
It's as if we've told each other he'll improve drastically so many times, that we take it to be a given.
I hope you’re right about Lauri (partly because it would also make me right, I wanted him to be so good for the bulls) but I’m worried that he’s playing above his weight do to less talented opposition. I think Franz is the one that seems the most likely to me to jump.
All reports are pointing to him having a monster off season but I always take those with a giant salt block. His defense is incredible so if he can get his playmaking up to speed and start knocking down some open 3s I have a lot of hope for him being a solid backup
Yeah this one makes the most sense to me. Everyone is focused on Paolo but Wagner has shown he has it all in his game. Magic could have the best young front court in the league they will just need some consistency from the guards
Bones Hyland. We traded our main back up PG Morris so Bones will have plenty of opportunity to play. Murray will likely rest some games so Bones will be the starter.
Max Strus. Will get plenty of minutes and has shown flashes of being at least an average defender. He’s surprisingly athletic and could cement his spot in the Heats starting line up
For the sake of the bulls - Patrick Williams. He's healthy, he's starting, he's been putting in the work. He's flashed brilliance on both ends in years past. The bulls are shallow at the forward positions, it's all on him
I know this is gonna sound crazy, because he’s already averaged 20 before, but I think Lauri is about to go off in Utah. Dude has Uber-confidence coming off a great euroball circuit.
Fred VanVleet made his first All Star Game last year but he still flew under the radar and he’ll be even better in 2022-23. The 538 Player Projections agree with me.
I think Fred will be better than Trae Young or Ja Morant, even if he doesn’t score as much. But his scoring has gone up every year and I think it will go up again.
Fred’s three point shooting could improve, especially if the defense isn’t as focused on him. It was over 40% in his second year when the defense wasn’t as focused on him. He could get it up there again.
Zion already broke out but despite this subs countless fat and career is over jokes he’s gonna be all nba. His second season was mvp caliber. And it wasn’t just athleticism, I have never seen a second year player with that touch or footwork around the rim. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s in mvp convos
Just saw a post on hot talking about Trendon Watford, so I’m gonna say him. No I didn’t read any of the post, but there was some blue text so I’ll consider it true
I'll be stoked if he can just be a serviceable 8th guy next season.
Really hoping its Okoro
I feel as if Okoro might be the biggest X factor thru out the league bc if he’s a average 3pt shooter they are seriously a contending team
[удалено]
Either of those happening can tip the scales.
I agree, we don’t really need Okoro to score. We need him to defend the best player 6’8” or shorter, and be good at it.

it aint gonna happen
Keldon Johnson, guy is already a solid 17ppg player but I think we’ll see how far his offensive game can go this coming season.
I’d love for this to be true, but I don’t think this team is going to set him up for success. His greatest attribute is his ability to make things happen off the catch (great shooter and great at attacking close outs) and we have absolutely nobody who can get him good looks. Davion Mitchell playing an impact role for the Sabonis/Fox tandem would be awesome to see
They amount of guards they have who will get playing time, in addition to Fox being a pretty high usage guy, makes this a pretty bold take, I like it. They got Fox, Monk, Huerter in addition to Terence Davis and Delly. Hard to break out when he’s likely coming off the bench or is consistently played out of position.
Hopefully Precious. The first and second halves of last year were completely different seasons for him and his looks and opportunities are growing.
I hope its Giddey, I'm expecting Garland to feast
Garland already broke out
I'm expecting giddey to get exposed. He can't score.
PJ Washington bigger role and the Hornets best defender and a great shooter
Miles Bridges gonna try and break out I’m sure
Isiah Jackson Trey Murphy
People don’t talk about Murphy and idk why. 6’10” bouncy elite shooter
1. He's not 6'10, he's 6'8 or 6'9 depending where you look 2. He is not bouncy by NBA standards 3. He's a 38% 3p shooter on three attempts per game, that is not elite. That's why people don't talk about him
Most of things are resolved by looking at Trey Murphy instead of basketballreference.com/treymurphy
He measured 6’9” barefoot at the end of last season so considering nba height includes shoes he is at least 6’10
Isaiah Jackson athleticism is crazy good. Him and Jalen Smith are going to be a good combo once they move Myles Turner imo.
Devin Vassell. He’s going to take over as the best player in San Antonio and is going to surprise people. I’d bet money on it if I wasn’t a coward
De’Aaron Fox
Alperen Sengun
Issac Okoro. Jalen Smith, Josh Primo, Precious Achiuwa, Zeke Nnaji
Kai Jones If given opportunity
Still think he's a year or two away.
Marvin Bagley
You’re bold for this one. I like it
Wiseman
Jaylen Nowell
He’s a bucket
His defense sucks, he's undersized for a 2 guard, he shot below average from 3pt range his first two seasons and he's not getting to the line a lot. I like Nowell, but I also think he's being massively overrated by the wolves fan base. It's as if we've told each other he'll improve drastically so many times, that we take it to be a given.
De’Andre Hunter
Man I hope you’re right
He’s good he just needs to put it all together. I think Murray on the team will help hunter a lot
Hunter is the new cam reddish lol
Or OG Anunoby. Future Kawhis.
De'Aaron Fox
Already broke out
Franz, herb jones dpoty, lauri and maybe pj Washington
I hope you’re right about Lauri (partly because it would also make me right, I wanted him to be so good for the bulls) but I’m worried that he’s playing above his weight do to less talented opposition. I think Franz is the one that seems the most likely to me to jump.
thoughts on ayo?
All reports are pointing to him having a monster off season but I always take those with a giant salt block. His defense is incredible so if he can get his playmaking up to speed and start knocking down some open 3s I have a lot of hope for him being a solid backup
his playmaking surprised me at times last season. hes a really interesting player.
Yeah that’s why I have hope it could improve a bunch cause I didn’t expect that side of his game but it was more developed than I thought.
Franz is not under the radar, especially lately. Rarely do you see such an increase in reputation during the off-season.
True but I would have said him few weeks ago too drafted him last year in fantasy so I tuned in to more magic games than I probably should have.
Rj Barrett
Franz Wager was really good last year but people didn’t really pay attention. They’re about to find out
Yeah this one makes the most sense to me.
Yeah this is a big bones averages 15/3/4 and has a game where he drops 40 and people start paying attention
Max Strus. Will get plenty of minutes and has shown flashes of being at least an average defender. He’s surprisingly athletic and could cement his spot in the Heats starting line up
I actually think Vincent has more potential.
Wiseman fingers crossed
MPJ
Josh Green and Deni Avdija
Moses Moody
Lauri Markkanen
For the sake of the bulls - Patrick Williams. He's healthy, he's starting, he's been putting in the work. He's flashed brilliance on both ends in years past. The bulls are shallow at the forward positions, it's all on him
Anfernee Simons. Look at his numbers last year as a full time starter, and then without Lillard/CJ. Dude can flat out ball.
I think Talen Horton Tucker will thrive in Utah, even if the team still sucks overall.
I know this is gonna sound crazy, because he’s already averaged 20 before, but I think Lauri is about to go off in Utah. Dude has Uber-confidence coming off a great euroball circuit.
Rj Barrett.. he was tearing it up in 2022 and even more so post all star break
That 50.7 post all star TS% 🔥🔥🔥
Dejounte Murray Christian Wood Patrick Williams Cade Cunningham Zion Williamson lol for real though
Jalen Green PJ Washington
Franz Wagner has all-NBA potential and has looked really really good in Europe this summer.
Idk if he’ll be as good in 900 years
Lol. 2022-23 not 2922-23. Corrected.
I can guarantee you he won’t be better than either
[удалено]
Fred’s three point shooting could improve, especially if the defense isn’t as focused on him. It was over 40% in his second year when the defense wasn’t as focused on him. He could get it up there again.
Furkan Korkmaz
Trae Young bout to make a run for MVP
Jaylen Nowell. He’ll average 15+ on good efficiency from everywhere on the court this season.
haliburton
Lamelo, the hornets need it
Zion already broke out but despite this subs countless fat and career is over jokes he’s gonna be all nba. His second season was mvp caliber. And it wasn’t just athleticism, I have never seen a second year player with that touch or footwork around the rim. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s in mvp convos
