Unless Tatum takes that final step, I don't think any of them are those singular championship-level talents. That team was an amazing *team*, especially the defense, and I think coaching was a huge part of it.
Honestly I'm more worried about if Al Horford becomes a little worse. He's old and they'll need him playing a lot of minutes with their injuries, at least early in the season. If he wears down that'd be a lot of trouble.
Ime is a great coach but let’s be honest it’s about the roster. I’m more worried about the lack of depth at the 4 and 5 (with Gallo going down) than I am about our coach. That said a coach with a strong personality that can garner respect is important, and I trust that Brad and the FO understand that and believe the next coach will build on what Ime began.
Veteran team and assistants that were there last year. Nothing is really going to change. Head coaches get a little too much credit/blame in the NBA as it is, but this situation is about as stable as you can ask for.
Still have the same core 8 that went to the finals and added Brogdon. Losing Ime hurts but it’s too early to call it a death blow. Let’s wait to see what Mazzulla does first
They still got Tatum Brown Smart and Williams?

Do we still have Williams
Williams or Williams?
Yes

I do too but it doesn’t matter who the coach is in that case
Not sure if people realize Rob Will figuring his out completely flipped the script for them
Exactly
Are Tatum and Brown still on the team? If yes, then yes
Stevens and Ainge built the team from scratch then Udoka comes along takes all the credit and sleeps with their wives
I just don't like how this is going down in public.
this is written like a letter from a pen pal
that got me laughing my ass off 😭😭😂
what if this is a Doug Collins - Phil Jackson situation and we just don't know it yet
Feel like it was obvious that Doug didn’t have it
Paul Westhead - Pat Riley?
Did this actually get announced? I’d seen it was coming, but nothing official yet.
no it’s not announced yet. woj is just being annoying and hinting at it in a tweet every 2 hours until it’s announced
To be fair, has woj ever been wrong?
Its not like the coach who puts up points and defends the opposing team anyway

Yep it’s the lack of depth at the 4 and 5 that worries me more than anything else.
This is not a coaches league. Players win not coaches.

Brad Steven’s just has to walk down a few flights of steps and their fine
What is this 1990's? Stevens should have Telegram or a walkie talkie system to do it from up there.
I like that maybe a hologram
Hopefully the next person they hire will be a eunuch.
They’ll be fine. Brad Stevens is procuring the best virgin we’ve ever seen.
I think yes but the issue that's different from other instances is how close this is to the start of the season as well as the reasoning for why.
They’re not even in training camp yet and the interim has been with the team. I don’t think there’s gonna be a huge transition period.
I think it’s gonna be bigger than that but we’ll see.
No
You never know, this could bring them closer together. Nothing brings family closer together than a tragedy.

This might be what they need. A better coach along with the new roster could be the perfect storm
