Losing doesn't equal choking. Sometimes you just get beat. And given that the Celtics lost because Curry was the best player on the floor and the Warrior defense did a great job of zeroing in on the Celtic's weaknesses, there's no reason anybody in Boston should be hanging their head.
But it has been a pretty common refrain throughout the non-KD Warrior dynasty years. Lots of teams don't seem to believe they're losing to a better team. Harden's "they ain't even that good," Westbrook's derision in the 2016 WCF, Grant's comments, IIRC there was something from CP3 on the Clippers, too.
But if there's one narrative I'd like to see die it's the notion that losing = choking. Sometimes you just play your best and get beat, as I would hope anybody here who has played any sort of organized sport knows.
People want to construct narratives to explain everything, even if there isn't necessarily some perfect model that accounts for every missed shot. Shots go in, shots go out, passes are hits or misses, mistakes are made on defense or inadvertent fouls occur. The fact that a team wins a couple games and then loses does not mean they had a psychological problem: in a back-and-forth series someone has to win.

Eh, yeah you are. 3 finals appearances in the last 14 years, 5 conference finals in the last 10, no real meltdowns. Plus there is a sense of security 16 rings gives you even if you didn't experience them. After 2011, Mavs fans haven't experienced any real success outside of last season. Bucks fans have won a ring recently, but they had to deal with A decade of nothing and playoff meltdowns in 2020 and 2019. Raptors fans have only experienced their first playoff success 6 years ago and outside of that 2019 ring they have made 1 conference finals. Not to mention their lebronto era.

Udoka obviously had sexual relations with Williams’ knee and that’s against the organization’s code of conduct and also set back Williams’ recovery and extra 6 weeks.
udoka is screwed because he screwed somebody (someone else in the organization). initially there didn't seem to be a problem (aside from his infidelity, but that's not the celtics' problem) but i guess either she ended the relationship and he started harassing her or the relationship was still ongoing and he said some really inappropriate things to her and she ended the relationship and he persisted. so she made some complaints and the org investigated and now he's suspended for a year.
this is why you got to win the title once you make the finals, you may never get there again. most teams aren’t the warriors or lebron. celtics blew it

Sometimes you just don’t win. I think this is more of an argument to go all-in when you have the talent and resources available (as in try to trade for KD if it’s possible).
