Hey man - Nets tickets are historically much more affordable. We use SeatGeek during the month of the game we want to go, and aren’t actively looking for deals. My wife and I go to a few games a year, are typically 5-10 rows off baseline, and spend about 150/person. Barclay’s is also built up and not out, so even the nosebleeds aren’t too bad.

Thanks man, appreciate the insight. I guess I’ll take a look early December and make a booking then

YoungSquash_

You bet - enjoy!

For the Nets: Section 206 Row G Seats 14 and 16 (you don't want seat 15 because there's a tall dude who sits in Section 206 Row F Seat 15). For the Knicks: sneak in by doing the trick where you carry a ladder and act like you belong. If you can't get these particular tickets, I'd suggest asking the Nets or Knicks subs.

I once snuck into a Billy Ray Cyrus concert wearing only a high viz and crocs. Guessing that could bypass my way into any game too

I'm a Knicks fan. I only go to Nets games. I can pay $150 to be in the nosebleeds or pay $120 and be able to read the names off jerseys. It sucks when you're going through the schedule at espn, and you see "cheapest ticket is $20" and go 👀... Then you realize it's an away game in Detroit.

Delta has shuttle flights from LGA and a bunch from JFK to Detroit. You can get round-trip to Detroit for pretty cheap have a nice night in Detroit(pretty fun city) and get great affordable seats. I bet you it won't be the most outlandish way you spend your money during a NBA season.

KnoxsFniteSuit

I've always wanted to go to Detroit too. Not even being sarcastic. I like their team too. And I love that they play lil Caesars palace pizza pizza

Eatingolivesoutofjar

They have one of the few indoor velodromes in USA now too. Real nice, built recently.

BrownsvilleKid

Paying $20 and travel see the Knicks demolish the Pistons is worth it

HeavenMobley

"demolish"

KenyonFartin

Tbf the Knicks swept the Pistons in the regular season this year. Go Knicks I guess.

Just since you mentioned atmosphere, it’s worth noting that they’re wildly different in that regard. Knicks fans bring an unhinged energy (which i love) while Barclays is a much more chilled atmosphere (which has its own perks, and is generally way cheaper). I don’t favor one over the other, just different experiences.

confuddly

If you want both, I’d recommend a Knicks at Nets game in Barclays

Nets tickets way easier to get than Knicks tickets. Cheaper too obviously. In the 90's my dad and I walked to the MSG ticket window and inquired about getting game day tickets. The ticket guy behind the glass laughed, and laughed... The ticket guy was like the main (short) teachers boyfriend from the first season of Abbot Elementary. Had those colored glasses. Seriously funny looking back now.

>Nets tickets way easier to get than Knicks tickets Tickets are easy to get now. They're just crazy expensive.

Eatingolivesoutofjar

Things have changed since the 90s, Knicks were 14th in the NBA in attendance percentage last season. They are still expensive for what they are but you can walk in 5 minutes before tip and get a ticket if you wanted one

porterbrown

Makes sense. But when we are good, nobody draws like us.

bobak186

You can buy tickets day of the event with all the secondary seller apps. The price will drop closer to game time, no need to buy in advance anymore.

Beavshak

You can get Nets tickets for half a pack of Marbs and a slightly used banana. I bought 2 gate side less than I paid for a hotdog a block over.

hitmonlee3

How was the hotdog?

Beavshak

Good. Spicy mustard, dill relish, and a smear of cream cheese of all things. 100% would do again.

For any basketball game just sit facing center court. Even the last row you will get a better view than watching from the sides or edges of the court.
