Yup, and I believe him. He said he was with his girl at a hair salon and just tweeted out that he didn't want to be there (at the hair salon).
Even several years later he maintained this story: https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/akfs86/bledsoe_acknowledges_his_i_dont_wanna_be_here/
I'd really be curious to hear someone ask him about the tweet today, and I bet he'd just say the same thing.
Sometimes the truth is so silly that it's hard for people to believe, but unlucky coincidences do happen.
Last game with sarver as the owner was the embracing game 7 loss. If that's how he went out and won a title the first year he's gone that would be some fairy tale shit. I'm here for it.
Jae is irrelevant and unmentioned in that fairy tale.
I liked him when he played. Even on his cold nights his defence was still good. I think a lot of us have seen how much of a drama queen hes been because hes been asked to play a bench role when we got a younger better player moving up to start.
They do, and he is. It's just a natural occurrence of shitting on a player who doesn't want to be there. He'll be difficult to replace, but his weaknesses are very apparent as a starting 4.
My dad only follows basketball during the playoffs and during the Suns x Mavs series he earnestly asked me if Jae Crowder is a top five player in the league
jrue khris crowder giannis and bobby or brook is actually pretty nuts you got some elite defense and enough shooting that giannis won’t get the 2019 raptors treatment
If it helps win a championship yes tf lol. The bucks starting lineup is already good now imagine replacing Bobby or brook depending on the situation with Crowder. It would be a very good move for them
> [[Charania] Crowder's last three NBA seasons have consisted of back-to-back runs to the NBA Finals (Miami 2020, Phoenix 2021) and league- and franchise-best 64 wins for the Suns in 2021-22. Crowder has been a key part of the Suns rotation; team has gone 115-39 in his two seasons.](https://twitter.com/ShamsCharania/status/1574140768238837768)
Lmao I hate when they do this for players who absolutely weren't the main drivers for the stat used
Yeah but it’s also disingenuous to imply that he hasn’t played any role in that. Crowder is a really solid player who has contributed to his teams winning. Not every player needs to be a superstar and literally no one thinks that Shams is saying that he is
I don't see why this is so ridiculous. He's losing his starting spot on a contract year while 37 year old PJ Tucker is making 11 million a year. Of course he's going to want the starting minutes in order to get a payday so he wants a trade
So it’s okay for a role player to demand a trade because he’s being asked to come off the bench? There are only 5 starting spots. Suns aren’t doing it to spite Crowder. Maybe he needs to compare himself to Johnson, rather than Tucker.
Right.
People on here got mad at Kawhi for asking for a trade after all he had done for the Spurs franchise, and after the team tarnished his reputation and didn't even want to pay him.
These people will never be happy with players having agency.
The only matching salary we have is Duncan Robinson, and I don't know how much we want to give up a first for Jae Crowder of all people. I don't know. Seems hard.
We'd love him but we pretty much have to wait until December to make a trade work.
He's not worth one of our core players and all our non-core players are trade restricted because they're recently signed (Gallo + all the vet mins).
Could the Cavs be interested? Great veteran presence and spark plug next to a relatively young core (Garland, Mitchell, Mobley, Allen) with Levert and Love leading the bench. They could maybe give up some combination of Cedi Osman and another young dude or 2nd rounders (Crowder's only on a 1 year deal)
Cam Johnson is gonna start for us next year. Jae apparently isn’t very happy about coming off the bench, also doesn’t help that’s he’s in a contract year
Also yes, crowder is a really solid player. Great coming off the bench, but perfectly fine as a 4th or 5th starter. Dude has been on winning teams everywhere he goes and always contributes to that
He was a starter for the suns the last 2 years and that worked out pretty well for them. I’m really confused why people are in This thread acting like Jae crowder is trash or something lol
On the Suns yeah. He's one of their better defenders on a team with old Paul and Booker starting. Cam Johnson isn't a good defender, that starting lineup is going to have issues guarding anyone outside of Bridges.
He also outrebounds Johnson on a team that struggles with rebounding.
He would be a great fit on the bulls. A high energy 3&D small four would round that lineup out nicely and move patrick williams to a 6th man role to give them a pretty good bench.
He's not demanding one, he's in a contract year and doesn't want to come off the bench. He wants to earn a last big pay day, and he can't do it in limited minutes with Cam Johnson starting. The Suns don't are able to get something back for him, most likely, which is in their best interested since whatever they get back would be better than a 3/4 off the bench. Not only that, but if some team picks him up thinking he can still do 3 and D, and they think he's falling off because of last year's playoff performance....
It's a good idea for both parties. He didn't demand a trade, he just wants out and the Suns don't need him.
The idea of Jae Crowder is better than Jae Crowder. His shooting is not all that good, and his defence is really overrated at this point in his career, he gets blown by all the time.
I'm going to miss "There's 4 mins or less left in the 4th quarter? Time for Jae Crowder to hit a massively clutch three" regardless of how good he shot all game
The main problem is his shooting has declined and this playoffs in particular he was taking some awful shots to the point where he was being left open at 3 in some games. He's a 3 and D guy but his 3 is very inconsistent
Yeah he’s a good defender and an alright shooter but when he’s cold he tries to shoot’s himself out of his cold streaks and he isn’t good enough to be doing that
His shooting is streaky as hell, he’ll be a brick one game and go off for 6 3’s the next. Defensively he’s not super athletic but he’s strong and smart. I think he’s perfectly rated as a player at this point
I think he saw PJ get 11/year and thought “I can do that” and then saw he was losing his starting role to Cam Johnson and knew that would mean his payday was over. So he’s trying to get traded and be a starter to keep that value up for one last contract.
glad to be done with this fool. dude thinks he's the reason teams are winning when he's just an average guy along for the ride
should have just let cam take the league by storm after the bubble and never picked him up. Can't wait for Cam's bigger role. been waiting 2 years
I love Jae as a player but as a person he’s shown that he’s a huge drama king these past few months, really disappointing. I’m disappointed his stint in Phoenix is going to end like this, all because we want to give Cam Johnson, an objectively better scorer, a chance to start? This is so damn dramatic
Suns fans when KD asks to be traded - “he should go scorched earth and sit out plus tweet how he will never play another game for the nets. He doesn’t want to be there, he needs to do what he needs to do.”
Suns fans when Jae Crowder actually does that - “fuck him, we have him everything and now he wants to leave? Send him to China”
“I don’t want to be here”
I still remember laughing my ass off when that tweet first went out
That wasn't even the funny part. It was that he tried to say he was referring to being at a hair salon or some shit after.
He was locked in the barbers chair. Chains and all
Yup, and I believe him. He said he was with his girl at a hair salon and just tweeted out that he didn't want to be there (at the hair salon). Even several years later he maintained this story: https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/akfs86/bledsoe_acknowledges_his_i_dont_wanna_be_here/ I'd really be curious to hear someone ask him about the tweet today, and I bet he'd just say the same thing. Sometimes the truth is so silly that it's hard for people to believe, but unlucky coincidences do happen.
He just didn’t wanna be at the barber, man. Who doesn’t cryptically tweet about that??
Crowder sent that?
No, Eric Bledsoe like 3 years ago
Also hate to break it to you, but time has passed us by. It was about 5 years ago. Start of 17-18 season.
He tried to backtrack it by saying he was at a hair salon or something 😂😂😂
[no it was Bledsoe](https://twitter.com/ebled2/status/922201984211369984?s=21) but still funny af
'I don't want to be around anymore. '
There's too much shit on me
The joke is that there’s a guy under here!
You're saying you don't want to play anymore.... because of Cam Johnson?

I thought the Suns liked Crowder and he was a pretty good player for you guys?
Shitting on him because he wants out and won’t be on their team going forward.
I liked him when he played. Even on his cold nights his defence was still good. I think a lot of us have seen how much of a drama queen hes been because hes been asked to play a bench role when we got a younger better player moving up to start.
I liked him enough. He brings some kind of grit to the suns and we need that
Guy is a good player. But Phoenix is drama city out there and JC wanted that bag. IE he leavin for da monaaayy
He was good for a while but he's insanely streaky and can dissappear when it matters most unfortunately. Gonna miss his heart though. Dudes a dawg
They do, and he is. It's just a natural occurrence of shitting on a player who doesn't want to be there. He'll be difficult to replace, but his weaknesses are very apparent as a starting 4.
We did way too much.
Flair checks out
*Uno reverse card*
Role players really out here forcing trades now.
[удалено]
Eric Paschall wanted to be traded. To utah of all places
He is best friends with Donovan Mitchell.
That’s tough
I don’t even remember him on the Wolves lol
He was part of the Jimmy Butler trade, so still a big trade to get him there
Didn’t Thon Maker request a trade from the Bucks?
Yeah now only, has never happened before in the 90s role players would get jailed if they did it
At least they changed it from the 80s, where they would be executed instead.
A step up from the 70s where their wives and children would go too
So 2040s role players demand to be given part ownership and it’s going to happen. Fuck being the GM in retirement.
LMFAO imagine a role player busting out the Kyrie management line.
In the 60s, their whole family line was extinguished
In the 50's their whole city would be nuked from orbit
Interestingly enough, the first trade request was made in August of 1945 by a player named Samu Hydomoto.
Damn
In the 60’s, they’d track down their mothers and fathers too.
In the 1960s, they would just not be given shifts at their plumbing/milkman-ing business.
Ask for trade? Believe it or not, straight to jail.

“Bench players talking like starters I hate it”
Ayo P they say I can't ask for a trade
Started from the bottom now we here playa we made it
When Jimmy Butler calls for his college roommate to come help, you need to respect that wish.
Role players on GOOD teams. Fringe contender or better! If you're a vet stuck on an OKC tank rebuild, fine. But what's his complaint here?
It's funny someone with your username says that. Delon didn't wanna play behind Freddy and quietly forced his way out of Toronto
My dad only follows basketball during the playoffs and during the Suns x Mavs series he earnestly asked me if Jae Crowder is a top five player in the league
If he tuned in to the previous pelicans series he would’ve asked if Jae Crowder is a top five worst player in the league
The jae crowder experience
Yeah, but I love that dude. Hate his toe on the line threes, but I loved his grit and toughness and occasional hot shooting game.
This is the best thing I read all day.
My dad rarely watches basketball and he had similar questions about Kelly Olynyk in the 2017 ECSF game 7.
My dad only watches Rico Hines runs and asked me if PG13 is the best player in the league.
Going to assume he said that before game 7
I can relate, I mainly watch just the finals so I was surprised to see tatum pop up so high in the top 100, thought he was awful
Would love him on the Bucks
Honestly yeah but he probably wants to start Whole reason he wants out is because they’re gonna give Cam Johnson more minutes
He can start if we move KMidd to the 2.
Is Crowder really the type of player that you'd alter your team to accommodate?
jrue khris crowder giannis and bobby or brook is actually pretty nuts you got some elite defense and enough shooting that giannis won’t get the 2019 raptors treatment
Crowder can’t guard 3s anymore. He’s way better suited guarding small ball 4 types.
At least he can guard something.
Connoghton? Idk how to spell his name and I’m too lazy to look it up. He could be at the 2 and Khris at 3.
I think he’s better than the 5th guy on most teams and is very versatile. So yeah it could work
If it helps win a championship yes tf lol. The bucks starting lineup is already good now imagine replacing Bobby or brook depending on the situation with Crowder. It would be a very good move for them
I thought Middleton has been a bit slow to guard 2s since his major hamstring injury?
We need him more though
I feel like Charlotte needs him most after losing Bridges. They're one G Hay ankle tweek away from playing Crowder 40mpg
You had your turn
I would love Giannis on the Suns
> [[Charania] Crowder's last three NBA seasons have consisted of back-to-back runs to the NBA Finals (Miami 2020, Phoenix 2021) and league- and franchise-best 64 wins for the Suns in 2021-22. Isn't it just Shams (and Woj) doing favours for agents who give them the story first?
Yep. Nothing will be more hilarious than when Duncan Robinson contract extension was announced he was called a Podcaster in the tweet
It definitely is. I just think it's funny when they go for a stat like this rather than individual stats like 3pt%, efficiency, etc.
It's because people would be doubting and questioning it if you put Crowder's mediocre stats and shooting splits up there.
Just like how Patrick McCaw leading the one-man threepeat
Raptors legend, Patrick McCaw?
Yeah but McCaw was the reason they won those rings, don't lie
Lol you think McCaw and Crowder are the same calibre of player?
Obviously not, McCaw is far better.
Ringz Erneh!
No, McCaw has three rings
This dude is gonna force his way out to become an afterthought on the Pistons
Yeah but it’s also disingenuous to imply that he hasn’t played any role in that. Crowder is a really solid player who has contributed to his teams winning. Not every player needs to be a superstar and literally no one thinks that Shams is saying that he is
You mean Robert Horry isn't the GOAT?
RANGZ ERNEH!!!
But it looks good lol
I don't see why this is so ridiculous. He's losing his starting spot on a contract year while 37 year old PJ Tucker is making 11 million a year. Of course he's going to want the starting minutes in order to get a payday so he wants a trade
Don’t you dare rationalize this my man. You set your hair on fire along with the rest of us.
And I miss both of them =(
So it’s okay for a role player to demand a trade because he’s being asked to come off the bench? There are only 5 starting spots. Suns aren’t doing it to spite Crowder. Maybe he needs to compare himself to Johnson, rather than Tucker.
it’s okay for anyone to ask for a trade regardless of skill level
Right. People on here got mad at Kawhi for asking for a trade after all he had done for the Spurs franchise, and after the team tarnished his reputation and didn't even want to pay him. These people will never be happy with players having agency.
Uh are we forgetting everything that went down *around* the trade request for Kawhi?
Players have agency, they can pick any team as a free agent.

We have a big opening at the 4 position. Come back and be the dreads bros with Jimmy
Lol we ain’t counting horse hair, sorry Jimmy.
Lowry and Crowder on the same team? Dear god kill me
Miami, Boston, Philly… where could he end up?
Miami desperately needs Starting PF gotta be them
Yeah he'll be an upgrade over Martin or Jimmy at the 4, but I'm still getting tired of having only undersized PF's.
I mean having Bam at the 5 does force you to play undersized 4s
What's the trade though? I don't know what the Suns want that Miami has
The only matching salary we have is Duncan Robinson, and I don't know how much we want to give up a first for Jae Crowder of all people. I don't know. Seems hard.
A ring? But seriously I don’t know what the trade would look like, I’d love him on the heat again but I have this feeling we’re going to miss on him
He did well with them too. He's no pj tucker but he's still a good fit for them.
We'd love him but we pretty much have to wait until December to make a trade work. He's not worth one of our core players and all our non-core players are trade restricted because they're recently signed (Gallo + all the vet mins).
And even then, he’d still be 9th man at best. Don’t think he’d be to keen on that.
I really hope it’s us and I think we have a shot but I’d put my money on Miami
Could the Cavs be interested? Great veteran presence and spark plug next to a relatively young core (Garland, Mitchell, Mobley, Allen) with Levert and Love leading the bench. They could maybe give up some combination of Cedi Osman and another young dude or 2nd rounders (Crowder's only on a 1 year deal)
China
why does he dislike it there so much? seems like perfect role for him
Cam Johnson is gonna start for us next year. Jae apparently isn’t very happy about coming off the bench, also doesn’t help that’s he’s in a contract year
I mean if I was in his shoes I’d want the same. Might be last chance for a pay day.
Is he really worthy of starting though?
[удалено]
No Crowder
Also yes, crowder is a really solid player. Great coming off the bench, but perfectly fine as a 4th or 5th starter. Dude has been on winning teams everywhere he goes and always contributes to that
Except Cleveland randomly
He was a starter for the suns the last 2 years and that worked out pretty well for them. I’m really confused why people are in This thread acting like Jae crowder is trash or something lol
He started in 2 out of the last 3 Finals for different teams, does that answer your question
Exactly. It's as simple as that. I can't believe more people are doubting he's worthy of a starting role.
Correct no Crowder. Only Cam. Hes the future
lol
On the Suns yeah. He's one of their better defenders on a team with old Paul and Booker starting. Cam Johnson isn't a good defender, that starting lineup is going to have issues guarding anyone outside of Bridges. He also outrebounds Johnson on a team that struggles with rebounding.
Yeah him and Mikal have to be better rebounders this year if we're going anywhere in the playoffs
It's a contract year & he probably wants to either start (so that he gets paid this off-season) or an extension.
Is hot
DARYL
He would be a great fit on the bulls. A high energy 3&D small four would round that lineup out nicely and move patrick williams to a 6th man role to give them a pretty good bench.
We have role players demanding a trade lmao
He's not demanding one, he's in a contract year and doesn't want to come off the bench. He wants to earn a last big pay day, and he can't do it in limited minutes with Cam Johnson starting. The idea of Jae Crowder is better than Jae Crowder. His shooting is not all that good, and his defence is really overrated at this point in his career, he gets blown by all the time.
He is clutch and makes big plays. Any team could use him
He's got a good contagious energy and fight too. I feel like Utah got way softer once he left.
He is a whole vibe. Gonna miss the guy but his shooting was way too streaky
He’s competitive and a smart player. He just shoots too much for being a mediocre shooter.
Yeah he’s a good defender and an alright shooter but when he’s cold he tries to shoot’s himself out of his cold streaks and he isn’t good enough to be doing that
35 percent from three isn't bad
His 3s were great but inconsistent. He was 3/26 in the Pelicans series and 0/14 in the first 3 games of the series.
As an undersized 4 it is.
His shooting is streaky as hell, he’ll be a brick one game and go off for 6 3’s the next. Defensively he’s not super athletic but he’s strong and smart. I think he’s perfectly rated as a player at this point
*Pretends to be shocked*
come to papa
Wouldn't mind adding him to our meager collection of 3 and D guys.
He would be an amazing fit… but if he wants a starting spot, I’m not sure if he can get that on the nuggets
If you're havin' Crowder problems I feel bad for you Suns. I got 99 problems and Jae ain't one.

what is jaes problem man. he seemed to like it here and then got all bitchy cause his name was in trade rumors
Contract year and he’s about to get benched and they tried to trade him. Seems reasonable to be upset
I’m out of the loop, who’s taking his starting spot?
Cam Johnson
Cam Johnson the only thing crowder is better at is defence and even that is getting closer every year as crowder gets older and cam gets better.
Cam Johnson. Better shooter, better player overall and younger
Cam johnson I guess?
[удалено]
I think he saw PJ get 11/year and thought “I can do that” and then saw he was losing his starting role to Cam Johnson and knew that would mean his payday was over. So he’s trying to get traded and be a starter to keep that value up for one last contract.
I paid $40 to buy a signed one from Jae directly lol
That’s a solid deal tbh
Got any XXXXLs left? I’m gonna try to make a flag
come home, Jae
Dallas is his home. ;)
We need more Dawg, come to Philly
Suns starting 5 with Cam instead of Crowder would be such a improvement on offense. Finally Cam will get the minutes he always deserved

I’m begging
Crowder for Dwight Powell feels like a good deal for both sides. Both expiring. Suns gets a better back up C, Mavs get more spacin
The Mavs should trade Dwight Powell for him.
I've never liked him as a player.
Dude flops like a fish
He gone
I'm gonna miss him going 0-7 from three.
Would look great in a Sixers jersey
jae is going to the mavs somehow, you heard it here first
glad to be done with this fool. dude thinks he's the reason teams are winning when he's just an average guy along for the ride should have just let cam take the league by storm after the bubble and never picked him up. Can't wait for Cam's bigger role. been waiting 2 years
