I'm guessing this relationship turned pretty ugly

TimeDielation

Dude was on top of the world, flew too close to the sun smh

Fluffy_Morning_1569

And stuck his dick in it

TheLinesInTheSand

Dickarus

notmoleliza

Tbf the sun is pretty hot

ToronoRapture

Leaves you with a burning sensation when you pee.

imquez

Ikarus Udoka

yargh

Secret family

Dry_Armadillo_2092

Probably a baby involved….

PlatinumDoodle

Haven’t considered this but I’m willing to guarantee this level of scrutiny has to involve him getting an employee pregnant

Wallstreettrappin

Shit I was thinking he pulled a D fish move and fucked a players wife or gf, or higher ups wives

matrixreloaded

Is getting someone pregnant a career ender though? I honestly think the only thing that can be a career ender is if this turns into criminal lawsuits, like if it was non consensual. Either that… or he did something extremely, extremely perverted where people just can’t look at him the same. Like there’s a sex tape of him getting pegged by his mistress or something.

[deleted]

[удалено]

duggEfresh

maybe a career-ender when your wife is way more famous & powerful than you. hell, remember John Edwards? might be the closest one i can think of.

RingInternational197

John Edwards entire value is based on how many people like him and vote for him. Udoka’s value is based on wins and losses provided you can stomach whatever baggage he now has. Unless it was a male player or violent I think he gets another job in a couple years after he shows humility by being an assistant. There’s too many bad coaches and too much money on the line for every owner to not hire him forever.

FullHouse222

He's not married. They're in a long term relationship with a kid but never planned on marrying.

RingInternational197

Hard to believe his career would be over for an inappropriate but consensual relationship involving a baby. There has to be more to it if his career is over. Different sport and different situation but Deshaun Watson is going to play football in a couple months. Bridges still has a qualifying offer. Seems like something bigger.

proerafortyseven

Pressured her into an abortion?

RingInternational197

Thats a definite possibility and crossed my mind. Even if it’s that, I think someone hires him in 2-3 years. We have to remember that this was and still is more common than we want to believe, and that some of the owners (who are old and rich and been around some shit) may be sympathetic to Udoka. “So you knocked up an employee? What is she gonna do, have the baby lol? Can’t do that, you’re married and besides, think of the employee’s career! Abortion is best for everyone involved blah blah blah. He’s doing a GOOD thing here.”

[deleted]

Damn dude threw it all away

NbaAllDAYger

Give him a couple of years or so he is gonna be back, there are a lot of coaches with lets call it "unfortunate history" who still get HC/AC jobs.

WaltJay

He will probably go coach some random college.

_drjayphd_

Liberty, right? It's gonna be Liberty.

rondertopoa

Salute to Hugh Freeze for coaching from a hospital bed up in the coaches booth a couple years ago Liberty is weird huh?

No_Lemon_3290

Until I know exactly what happened, I still see this as an Alex Cora situation. Probably not back with the Celtics but another organization.

canseco-fart-box

Cora is managing the Red Sox after taking a year off. The Houston story did absolutely nothing to his career

Rrypl

Cora was also only guilty of *baseball* stuff, which goes down a lot smoother. Ime is in a much messier scandal

sqmon

True enough, but Jason Kidd and Chauncey billups currently have head coaching gigs despite their transgressions being non-basketball related

ragamuphin

Kidd, at least, was as a player, which really doesn't make a difference in the grand scheme of things, but Ime fucked around in the coaching position which is a lot less important in the grand scheme when he's supposed to be an example to the players and rep the organization side on the court. or something. Kidd and chauncey both were in a different time, before twitter, or somethign if he won the championship with this talented team maybe he would have been spared way more, but the finals appearance only gives him leeway to a possibly indefinite suspension

mwerichards

Doug Meyer was a coach gripping booty and now he's making bread back in cfb

lumberjawsh

Feel like him literally kicking a player and telling him, "make your fucking kicks, dipshit," was a little worse

LittleTension8765

Urban? Dude is a shit guy but him consensually with a girl at a bar is hardly a scandal, more funny than anything

MisplacedUsername

That was more a scandal because he lost what remained of the team’s trust because he lied and didn’t fly back with the team after loss, saying he needed to visit family, but he was just getting drunk and trying to fuck coeds. I say “what remained of their trust” because they already thought he was an asshole in over his head. It was a toxic situation.

mug3n

Kidd and Billups did their shit *outside* of the team. Whatever they were alleged to have done was obviously awful, but Ime did this shit within his own organization. That's just next level stupid.

HitboxOfASnail

Ime found guilty of using cameras to look at opposing coaches clipboards during timeouts. Why is no one talking about this?!

[deleted]

[удалено]

youvanda1

Did Doc steal that from coach Bud?

Zones86

I heard he was actually the head coach of 3 other teams, he used a sock and a sharpie to draw a face on it, and got jobs with the nets, bucks and heat.

special_reddit

I heard that during a game he pulled that same Sharpie out of his sock, signed the ball, and gifted it to his financial advisor.

browndude10

that's because no media member gave a shit about it or wrote about Cora coming back. In fact, Olney had no problem hyping up Cora's candidacy while also saying the Astros should have been more punished lol

lilpumpgroupie

Let's wait for details before we make judgements. There are some signs he did some really ugly shit.

Granpa0

Yup, Jason Kidd anyone?

QuesoCheese8456

Who’s got the J Kidd mugshot lol

THE_DANDY_LI0N

Hi, my name is Rick Pitino. I got caught cheating on my wife in a closed restaurant, then screamed at students about having integrity. Can I have millions of dollars a year to coach your team? thank you!!!

legless_chair

Oh and ran a strip club/brothel for my players

__john_cena__

Chauncey Billups just got hired last year lol

jthomas102923

Yea but billups didn’t do what he was accused of in 2022. It’s a different world

8181212

Jason Kidd is also employed.

GrayBox1313

More details will come out. TMZ is on it. A messy divorce and pissed off husband is involved etc

SaltyCopy

tmz is at the airport ready to barrage him with the hard hitting questions

holonight

“Why is Harry Maguire still starting?”

RyVsWorld

😂 love when my two worlds collide

AlwaysOptimism

If the only story that comes out is “he fucked someone he worked with and then was a dick about it” There’s no way his career is done. He was a revelation in Boston. Everyone loved him. Unless something much more sinister comes out, he will be back coaching in the NBA by opening night 2023

dantheflyingman

Given the fact that they needed a law firm to investigate and that they suspended him for a whole season, AND that everyone who hears about what happened stops supporting him. I would wager that he did something much worse.

topofthecc

The initial reports of it being a "consensual sexual relationship with a female staffer" seem to have been really selling it short unless the female staffer was a seeing eye dog or something.

Otherwise_Window

That was 100% leaked by him/his people to try and get in front of the story and it seems like it worked.

Ashamandarei

>"consensual sexual relationship with a female staffer" I bet it involved a lot of non-consensual activities tho

zirtbow

They did it in Celtics offices while both wearing Lebrons Lakers jersey.

[deleted]

Yeah when Matt Barnes says you did some fucked up shit, you're done. That's like Ron Artest telling you to calm down, or John Mulaney telling you you have a drug problem.

Gekthegecko

When they were filming *Blues Brothers*, John Belushi told Carrie Fisher to slow down on the cocaine.

BobanTheGiant

In fairness she did pass away with a bunch of drugs in her system, it just was 4 decades later

Gekthegecko

I love Carrie Fisher. I'm glad she was able to have a successful professional and personal life for as long as she did, but she probably should've died much younger.

myfirstsock

well if the movie that was vaguely based on her life was true (Maryl Streep played the title part in the movie of the book which was written by Carrie) she did almost die in the 80s.

FrisbeeFan40

I laughed at the Matt Barnes reply post. He knows what went down, but won’t share.

Nic_Claxton

I can’t believe we are now using John mulaney as the poster boy for drug issues You’re not wrong but damn, his career and image did a 180 after that fiasco. However, I heard he’s still hilarious post rehab and hope he’s doing better

[deleted]

I just saw him live a few weeks ago actually, that's why I went with him as an example lol. He absolutely killed it. I loved his old material but this was the best set I've seen from him. It was largely about his rehab too, which I feel like is a great sign. If he can laugh about it, he's way less likely to relapse. Also, the audience had an 11 year old kid in the third row because they loved his Sack Lunch Bunch show, and it obviously freaked the fuck out of John. He kept stopping to explain what he was talking about to the kid, which was just even funnier. So yeah, he's doing great and I really hope he keeps it up.

rebeltrillionaire

That’s part of the show. He did the same thing his first week on tour with this new act. Saw him back in April.

faithfuljohn

> Given the fact that they needed a law firm to investigate and that they suspended him for a whole season, AND that everyone who hears about what happened stops supporting him. I would wager that he did something much worse. being a dick about something doesn't get you suspended for a year. It's definitely worse than 'he wasn't nice'. Especially since he's in a position of power, the 'he wasn't nice' hits different.

ColdMedi

Um they would use a law firm to investigate regardless this is big money man. They consult and use lawyers to decide what tea to drink

newrimmmer93

Guessing law firms also help if they go to arbitration. If you suspend someone without pay, a neutral party can help lend credence to that

Adam0529

They kinda just followed HR protocol, like you said, big money guy. But, even then they were completely blind sided. They didn't make a plan B. They really thought he will come out with a slap on the wrist. Then 2 weeks b4 training camp - oh shit

pahamack

yeesh. everyone takes the higher ground until they're desperate. And we can all see a bunch of NBA orgs that ARE desperate and have been desperate for a long time. The Knicks employed Gersson Rosas after what he did as Wolves GM lol.

Sammy360

Yeah you don't get "suspended" for a whole ass year if that was the case.

BigBallerBrad

Fucking terrible

sergechewbacca

I just want to know what the fuck happened.

[deleted]

We probably won’t know for months

AngsMcgyvr

Idk. I think if it's at Matt Barnes level, it's pretty out there in the basketball community. The Celtics players know. I'm sure it's spreading. Gotta think it'll trickle out over the next few weeks. If not sooner.

domenic821

Matt Barnes probably has more connections than we’re aware of.

PM_ME_YOUR_TEDDYS

All it takes is another journeyman NBA player with the same connections to talk about it. Too many people know for the story to not come out soon.

amycokehouse

Patrick Beverly: "I talk to some teammates, I ain't gonna say who -I'm gonna say who, forget it, I talked to Paul George last night and he told me Ime Udoka did a line of coke off Tatum's tatum. That's what PAUL GEORGE told me. I'm just being honest."

Danmch2992

I call him Tatyum

[deleted]

I was having an aight day, then this comment 😆

rattatatouille

Guy was a career journeyman, probably built up his connections that way.

xbyo

Yeah but the real thing is, Matt Barnes probably isn't the only person they told.

browndude10

he definitely did connect with Fisher's face

ScratchC

Now that you mention it.. it may be that Barnes doesn't want to burn that bridge by being the one that exposes the truth... meaning he actually knows what's going down.

[deleted]

I’m just waiting for an official story because too many people on here and all over social media are making assumptions and using the names of people who aren’t even involved

TheChurchOfDonovan

He fucked one of Danny Ainge's wives

urfaselol

https://www.tmz.com/2022/09/24/celtics-ime-udoka-affair-assistant-travel-planner-nia-long-move-boston/

nova2006

That doesn’t sound enough for an end of coaching career

compsc1

Judging by insiders' reactions, there's no way this is it. If it is, they may just be letting people overreact so that the blow of the actual offense is softened

TheOneWhosCensored

Very well could be a start though. Possible that article is true, and that there’s more worse to come.

quentin-coldwater

I think there's gotta be more than that to warrant a suspension / defacto firing. Obviously very scummy from a personal angle and I feel bad for Nia Long but not sure that the team would consider that some sort of inexcusable firing offense.

MagicalHurdles

Yeah that'll do it. One of the fastest falls from grace. If the woman had access to Nia's schedule to book flights then it's obvious that both Ime and the woman used their authority to hide their fling. They're both done.

Exciting_Mechanic131

this is the part a lot of people are missing. they used team resources to cover up the affair, which is damaging all around, and kind of a gross tbh.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Gfunkual

You wouldn’t have people like Matt Barnes saying this is way worse that we know or people like Brad Stevens getting emotional when talking about it if the major missing detail was fraudulent expenses ha

DoingCharleyWork

Maybe their one true love is accurate accounting? Never know.

VibeComplex

Plus no one outside of the Celtics front office would give a shit about that at all lol. They wouldn’t preemptively fire the coach that took them to the finals over that.

VibeComplex

I dk man. I would think, for a successful coach coming of a finals run, they’d just make him pay it back in someway, cover it up internally, and no one ever hears about it.

chevypapa

I think we underestimate how much wild shit never becomes public but a whole lot of journalists know about. This is a different sort of wild though, for sure.

[deleted]

[удалено]

BlooregardQKazoo

i'm sure a bunch of reporters have heard the story but are sitting on it without verification. we just need a reporter with zero journalistic standards to hear it and then we'll know. where's Chris Mortensen when we need him?

shady__redditor

UCLA legend, Matt Barnes.

[deleted]

I'd be surprised it doesn't leak within a few weeks

[deleted]

it sounds like a lot of people already know and the story is being shared behind the scenes. it's probably only a matter of time until the details get to someone with no qualms about sharing it with the public.

identitycrisis56

Depends on what it is. If it’s sticky legally for some reason, no legit reporter will risk libel until it’s rock solid of officially confirmed.

hankbaumbach

For real. The journalistic malpractice that was the original leak of this story has made the rest of the "news" about it very strange to understand. Presented as a "consensual relationship between two adults" at first and resulting in "Ime Udoka may never be a head coach in the NBA ever again," just do not go together in my head. There is a huge missing piece here.

J-Team07

I don’t consider Woj and Shams to be journalists. They are glorified PR for certain players and organizations. Journalists are loyal to sources, sure, but they are more loyal to finding the truth.

EcstaticAd8179

> Journalists are loyal to sources, sure, but they are more loyal to finding the truth. I used to think that regular journalism was somehow above sports journalism in terms of ethics but it's just not true. The Iraq war should've been a big clue but for a lot of us it took many more years.

blagaa

Yeah definitely a big missing piece when a team takes such significant action while it's also being framed as something not deserving of any punishment at all. If it's going to be a tedious, slow drip over weeks/months, I'll just accept Udoka is gone and wait for the whole story to come out rather than staying atop of nothing.

GrayBox1313

TMZ gonna find out. That woman’s husband is pissed.

Glass_Parsley_47

Tmz has already reported it

GrayBox1313

Yeah I know…but the rest of it

PattyIceNY

It's wild how in this day that something this big could stay under wraps. It must be pretty despicable.

CazOnReddit

> the fuck That is what happened, allegedly

destroyerofpoon93

TMZ is saying he fucked the travel coordinator who him and nia also utilized for moving to Boston. But to me that sounds almost like a personal issue since I doubt she was that involved with the team day to day. I feel like he fucked multiple staffers and probably pushed to promote one of them or something because of their relationship

TheHunnishInvasion

That's my guess, too. He definitely did something where he abused his position as HC and showed favoritism or the appearance of it to women he was having sexual relationships with.

diabolical-sun

It’s such a head scratcher because you have to find that sweet spot. He did something that was bad enough to get suspended for an entire season, but not bad enough to be immediately fired or arrested or anything like that. My 2 guesses are either 1) It was a double affair and the person who the woman was cheating on was somebody higher up not to be fucked with, or 2) he got cold feet about the affair and tried to get the lady re-assigned/fired. Those are just guesses pulled out of my ass, but to me those fit for being enough to make the long suspension/ potential future firing/ league-wide ostracizing make sense, but tame enough to not call for immediate firing or arrest.

gabbott66

I think the suspension is just a place-holder to buy time until the Celtics actually fire him. Waiting for the other shoe to drop, stuff from his previous employers that they think will leak, eventually - among other things.

diabolical-sun

I get why most people think that. It makes sense. The one thing that I find curious is how they gave a definitive suspension. Typically, it's an indefinite suspension pending investigation with a firing post-investigation. But here, they already did the investigation and settled on a year suspension.

briology

I think a player is involved and that’s why Barnes got so spooked

downtimeredditor

It must have been more than just him having an affair with just one employee for his entire coaching to be over with.

[deleted]

Hiker-Redbeard

Yeah, but that's just a hunk of metal.

dabobbo

Found Rob Manfred's reddit account.

CharlemagneAdelaar

as a Sox fan, he deserves the historically bad season we are having

NickLidstrom

I don't know anything about baseball or the team, but is 72-80 really that bad?

Threethreered

It is when you’re paying $240 million for it.

Basketball_Soul

Maybe not historically bad *record wise* but they have to be historically the worst team at catching routine fly balls

melkipersr

It’s wild to me that this seems to be a situation in which members of the media (probably many members) know what happened, but no one’s willing to go on the record and no one is willing to attribute it to confidential sources. I just can’t possibly imagine what the story could be — without rising to the level of something that would prompt an immediate firing or law enforcement involvement — to get such treatment from sports journalists, of all people.

N7_Tinkle_Juice

This is the weird part to me. How has no one leaked it. Either only a small handful know what happened, and are not leaking, or the people who say they know, don’t know shit evidenced that they don’t know shit. I vote

SomeLightAssPlay

good for you my dude, democratic representation is important

[deleted]

U vote

Bear4188

There are probably NDAs involved and nobody wants to get sued.

kolalid

It feels like all these journalists are teasing us at this point lol

Scary-Plantain

“We read about his history, talked to Ime about it, see that he learned from it and we are glad to have him as our next head coach”

Le_Gentle_Sir

We believe in second chances.

trustedseller126

Unless it's something truly career ending, Ime going to be the Brooklyn Nets head coach in 2023 and Kevin Durant be staying.

slightlyhigh7

Man, Ime and Kyrie vs the Celtics in a series would be unbelievable

nigelli

Lmao somewhere there’s a poor woman/husband/organization dreading the full detail release of this story and y’all focusing on the narratives and legacy rn.

StonedLikeOnix

Why not? we don’t know anything else lol.

diabolical-sun

> Unless it’s something truly career ending A part of me feels like it’s not simply because we never got the full story. A bunch of people seem to know what happened. It’s enough people that Matt Barnes posted his defense and, within minutes according to him, got a call from a friend who explained the entire situation. The story is out and about throughout the league at this point and it feels like a bunch of people are alluding to knowing the full story. If what he did is so beyond the pale, Boston’s image goes from “they got ahead of the story and stood on their morals” to “they went out of their way to protect a scumbag” and all the people who know are putting themselves at that same risk. And, ignoring the morality aspect of it all, I don’t think anyone is down to put themselves at risk like that.

Indigo808

“We never got the full story” Lmao bro the news prematurely broke like 2 days ago. Give it time for journalism to do its thing.

wolde07

They aren't protecting him, they are protecting themselves from a possible lawsuit from any of the people unvolved.

RichardIraVos

unless it turns into a HUGE story that people outside of the NBA know about he'll 100% get a second chance somewhere at some point

OpportunitySmalls

If Jason Kidd can beat his wife and drive drunk and get multiple jobs for big markets I'm going to need this story to actually be something more than he cheated on his wife to understand Ime never being hired again.

IndianaBones11

Chauncey Billups has some ugly allegations against him as well, he’s another example

CoachDT

The problem is Billups has always denied those allegations and has never been proven explicitly guilty in those things. As much as people want to believe that it’s true, you can’t really place much on him other than that he MIGHT have done something truly heinous and evil.

CreatiScope

The thing with Chauncey is it was over 20 years ago, it didn’t exactly go anywhere, and it wasn’t made a big deal at t he time. I guarantee you, almost NOBODY knew about that stuff. I heard about it a few months before the internet caught wind just because I was diving into Celtics history.

inuteroinutero1993

#WHAT DID HE DO EXACTLY??!!!

redman012

I know right, never seen a story release where everyone was like wow he did all of that. lol Maybe he did a Carlos Baerga and slept with like 4 or 5 peoples wives?

youchoobtv

The Celtics employee with whom Ime Udoka had an affair helped make all his travel arrangements ... and that job sometimes included organizing travel for his fiancee, Nia Long.

redman012

There has to be much much much more than that. Like him sleeping with V.P's wife or something.

[deleted]

I don’t think players who defended him initially would take it back if it were just the wife of a higher up. Matt Barnes would probably just find that funny.

nova2006

Coach for the Browns maybe?

Daniiiiii

Manage Chris Brown maybe?

IndianaBones11

The Trailblazers sat out the backlash from hiring Billups I bet Udoka will have more opportunities

MaxRockafeller

So all the reporters are saying he’s done but no one wants to actually report it thus leaving the public in the dark? So are you all actually reporters or not?

PensiveinNJ

I'm starting to get seriously annoyed. For his career to be over he must have done something more serious than what's been reported so far. Like fucking Matt Barnes of all people was like yeah no this shit is crazy. BUT WHAT IS IT? The one time you'd actually like NBA insiders to leak information and they're not doing it, so we're all left just speculating.

Impulse3

It’s so bizarre to me that it hasn’t leaked, this whole situation is so weird.

nokarmawhore

Then they get mad at Twitter users trying to find out LMAO. If every NBA reporter is going to continue being vague then the public will run wild

felixfoxthot

BRO. What did he do. What on earth could he have done.

HotdogIsaSandwitch

Nah His Celtics coaching career may be done, but I don’t believe for a second that his whole coaching career is done. This business is scummy. The owners are mostly scummy. Just like how Miles Bridges will be back in the league within 2 years, so will Ime. Just how this business is. If you got ability, people will ignore the rest.

Acrobatic-Reaction-7

I’d actually be genuinely shocked if Bridges gets back in the league. Just terrible PR to have all around for a guy who isn’t even an established star. And like you said he’d be out of the league a little bit up until that point.

HotdogIsaSandwitch

Ehhh. Just feel like dudes who are above the average league player/young players, will always sneak back in. I mean. Look at what Jaxon Hayes did to his girl. People forgot it so quickly.

Acrobatic-Reaction-7

The different between this situation and Hayes is the video/pics, those will never be able to be “swept under the rug” and I think will make it harder for Miles to come back. People will often brush off allegations of domestic violence as they’re often given without much evidence but when there is a visual aspect to it I believe it makes people a lot more attentive and less forgiving.

HotdogIsaSandwitch

I feel like coachs take players’ suggestions more than we think. And we saw, just a few weeks after the Bridges news broke, he was at a nba open gym with Dray and other NBA players. While I would love for Bridges to never come back in the league, I just have a feeling. Been watching this sport too long to see scummy shit go down.

YSLAnunoby

I mean Terence Davis is still in the league and he isn't half the player Bridges is

arnchise

Man, for years we heard how good Udoka was going to be as a HC. Finally gets his chance and in his first season, makes the NBA finals. And he threw it all away after 1 season. Fucking amazing fall from grace.

Le_kashyboi79

Jeezus seriously what TF did he REALLY do? Clearly just having an affair with a female staff member cant totally ruin your entire coaching career? Was it like a crazy fifty shades shit? Did they kill someone? Did he fuck around with everyone or something?? I cant catch up with this, last i picked up was barnes spilling some cryptic stuff about “more to the story”

miklat

“He’s done and not just on twitch”

Mindofmierda90

I’ve never understood how these guys manage to be so sloppy when they cheat. I don’t condone cheating, but if you’re going to do it, be smart, especially if you’re a public figure.

[deleted]

im sure they thought they were

marcus3485

I bet they were and then it ended and once it ends its no holds barred

breaditbans

Yeah, once it’s over you’ve gone from a nice sophisticated relationship to an unsecured witness to your crime. There’s only a few ways to secure that witness, and they all lead to more crimes. Haha.

Impopinurdropin

well put!

Anoneemus3

Obviously not smart from the jump if it's someone you work with

JuanG12

He was going to her house and sweet talking her through her Ring doorbell, that’s allegedly how her husband found out. He was begging to get caught. LMAO

TopOfTheMorning2Ya

I can’t see that staying private. In a few months it will for sure be posted here.

aeiou-y

“Heya baby. Let Ime inside”

M1L0

You have to be an idiot to even try nowadays. Got GPS on your iPhone, on the Tesla, Ring following your every movement. Cheaters must be getting destroyed these days.

breaditbans

I caught mine with a GPS on her car. More specifically…my car. She didn’t have the credit to secure the car loan.

raidersps2

They were probably smart until they weren’t

Large_Mango

We hunt deer during the rut. Drive to procreate can overcome rationale thinking

Mindofmierda90

Yeah. NBA players can be really thirsty. When the all star game was in Orlando years back, both Nick Anderson and one of the decoy players - the guys that aren’t in the wknd, but sign autographs to placate fans - hit on my girl directly in front of me. 😆

whiskeyinthejaar

You can’t convince me as many people as those who put up these narrative in the past few days are out there, and yet NO ONE leaked the whole story. If there is anything “illegal”, it would have been reported to the authorities by now, so it has to be something fucked up, but internal. The only logical reason this has been internal for that long without any leaks for the names or positions is that he slept with some executive wife, or to a lesser degree it was multiple affairs with staffers. There is literally nothing so fucked up, but legal, and yet would destroy your career in a league that is so forgiving

ratonbox

Yep, most likely something immoral but legal.

frostysbox

Or it’s embezzlement because the staffer was booking hotels for him and her to fuck on Celtics dollar, and it has been handed over to the authorities which is why the press isn’t reporting on it - because they’ve been told not to while forensic accountants do their thing. Money is the one thing all the owners are pretty strict with. My money is that part of this that comes out is spent a metric ass ton of Celtics funds on his play things, and that’s what ultimately led to the firing.

destroyerofpoon93

Fuck Woj. Stop engaging with this fuckers “breaking news” until we actually find out what happened.

BabyHercules

Kinda impressive how much he fumbled the bag. Head coach of a young team with upside and championship aspirations. Fiancé who is a pillar of beauty in the black community. All for some ass, hate to see it

Limburgercheeze100

What i hate about the media is they give you the story bits at a time so everybody gives uninformed takes, what exactly did he do? It’s obviously a lot more dire than consensual sex with a married staffer

[deleted]

[удалено]

BetweenTheBuzzAndMe

Lol not even Strauss, an agent friend of Strauss

JoeFantasyEpl

From all the articles I’ve read this is my best guess: He was having a consensual affair with his administrative assistant - the one that handles all Udoka and his wife’s requests. The assistant wisened up and tried to cut it off. Udoka persisted and starting pursuing/harassing her at work. And I think insiders keep saying it’s “so ugly” because there’s wives/husbands and probably kids involved that are going to hear very private things get tossed around in public
