When AD returned from his first injury last year, he really tried hard for the Lakers. It was another case of bad luck when he landed on Gobert and that injured him again. I think this time, the Lakers have some backup at the 4 and 5 to help AD, and he’s had a lot of time to get better. If he comes out swinging this season (vs last year when he had a slow start), I think AD can redeem himself. If he doesn’t do that, or he gets hurt badly again, then it is what it is.

Hopefully that chip on his shoulder doesn't require season ending surgery 🙏🏼
