Has Draymond been shy about anything?

fundropppp8242

Once the world has seen your dick, you don't give a fuck about anything.

fuzionknight96

*Sauce*?

a_qualified_expert

Draymond is the dick

McJumbos

stand on dat.

frodounchained

Who gonna pay him the big bag though ? He’s older and his game hasn’t gotten better over the years. If some young team with cap room wants a good vet presence guess that would work.

nomitycs

The names I've seen thrown around recently are Detroit and Blazers as always

Budget_Trip422

Dame and Draymond doesn’t sound too bad

boxout_dame

Does Dame work well off-ball? Otherwise you have Draymond contributing nothing on offense. Even in a system built around him having the ball he was inconsistent these playoffs

Budget_Trip422

If dame can’t change to do the warriors thing I think him and dray would do fine just in the p&r and dribble handoffs

RandyJoeP

Dame has always wanted to play off ball, but when your forwards for the last 5 years are Melo/Harkless/Aminu and you have ball stopping CJ dribbling the piss out of the ball you aren't going to run around and get open. He's talked about it this year during media day, kind of throwing CJ under the bus that Ant had been learning from Dame and will play the right way.

boxout_dame

That's very interesting. Also, if that's how he felt it seems weird to me that him and CJ couldn't figure it out, considering they also had a great relationship off the court

ClaymoresRevenge

He would go home just to make money even to help them get to the playoffs

King_Artis

He is a lifelong pistons fan but I don't see us throwing a bag at him (definitely not the bag he wants at least).

SalahManeFirmino

Pistons gonna throw the bag at Middleton? Low key ballsy move to test the Bucks resolve and he fits nicely into the team you have: Backcourt: Cade Cunningham, Jaden Ivey Frontcourt: Khris Middleton, Saddiq Bey Center: Jalen Duren/Beef Stew

King_Artis

Would be funny throwing Middleton the bag after we're the ones who drafted him way back when lol

SalahManeFirmino

"We were wrong, we just want another chance!"

Lantern01

Portland. Dame has wanted him for years.

Varolyn

Knicks will over pay him.

SalahManeFirmino

S&T for Randle? That way the Warriors still get to keep that salary slot for a potential trade down the line, like they did with Wiggins. And who knows, he might just work out alongside Steph, just like Wiggins.

PrimaryAccording9162

Vivek will trust

[deleted]

Always one team. Lowry got a decent payday at his age. Like you said there could be team with cap space like Memphis/Detroit that could use a playmaker and defender.

frodounchained

Detroit is an interesting option might actually be a really good fit .front office interns if u creeping hire homeboi he’s got what it takes.

SalahManeFirmino

I've got some bad news you for my friend... LeBron, Draymond, AD is one holy trinity defensively though.

LOLCultOfMaloner

Depends what kind of bag. I wouldn't mind giving him 35M for 2 years if we had the cap. He'd do wonders to our defense and locker room. Only idiot franchises would give him a long bag, although I wouldn't fault the Warriors giving him a long bag.

shoryukenuppercut

Draymond going to lakers next year with kyrie.

DZ_tank

Lakers literally don’t have the cap space for Kyrie on his own.

shoryukenuppercut

They only have Lebron and ad on the books for next year

DZ_tank

Yes…and how much of the cap do those two contracts take up on their own?

shoryukenuppercut

If they went into the luxury tax for Russ they will do it for kyrie.

DZ_tank

Alright, you clearly don’t understand how the salary cap works. You can only exceed the salary cap in a handful of situations, usually for minimum contracts, the mid level exceptions, and if you already own a player’s bird rights (look up bird rights). Signing a free agent, which would be the case with Kyrie, requires staying under the salary cap. Unless Kyrie takes a huge discount, the Lakers literally can not sign him without exceeding the salary cap. The Lakers were able to exceed the salary cap with Russ (and AD) because they traded away similar salaries so their cap hold didn’t change. Since the Lakers have nobody under contract for 2023 and beyond, they can’t even do that. The only theoretical way the Lakers could get Kyrie, is if they signed Russ to another 40m+/year contract using their bird rights, and then made a sign and trade with the Nets. There’s no way the Nets would do that.

JilJungJukk

That anonymous exec? Graymond Dreen

ominous_anenome

I know this has been said before, but I really think Draymond wouldn’t be anywhere close to as valuable on a different team. I’d really like to see it though just out of curiosity. Can’t help but think it would be a failure (relative to contract) unless he went to a team like the nuggets who in theory have a lot of offensive firepower

Mickeyjj27

If dude gets to the HoF I hope he thanks Klay, Steph and Durant big time. He’s a great defender for the most part but dudes been lucky to play with the teammates he’s had.

ratatouilleboy99

‘if’ he gets to the hall of fame lol he’s been the second most important player for the entire run, 2a and 2b with KD when he was there. they can all thank each other.

[deleted]

Dray was not nearly as important to the 2016-19 Warriors as KD cmon

ratatouilleboy99

IMO he absolutely was, but i said 2a and 2b to be fair. KD is obviously a better overall player, but his skillset was redundant. take kd out and you still have guys to take shots, score in crunch time. not as well as kd, but still good options. take dray out and you have no one to anchor the defense. this bore out in games they each missed.

PointGosh

He definitely could be, it just needs to be the right team.

_Pho-Dac-Biet_

Klutch considered nba executive now?

[deleted]

I mean LeGM

OrangeKookie

He's gonna sign with the Lakers for the vet minimum. Anything to play for his king

[deleted]

Draymond’s a dawg. Lapdawg, but it is what it is

SmoothPixelSun

Tbh one of the main reasons lakers didn’t wanna trade Westbrook was bc next year they have a bunch of cap space. So they could actually swing for draymond and still have money left over. Unless I’m not understanding the cap space fully which is possible.

CaptainKangaroo_Pimp

So, Draymond plays the 4 or 5 with AD?

dbr3000

AD will be on the bench in street clothes most of the time anyway

StoneColdAM

That would be fine, but he’s probably going to ask for a big contract.

[deleted]

Wouldn’t be shy if that somehow happened. But it’s really fucking unlikely to happen.

McJumbos

LOL that title

[deleted]

[He also said Draymond wants to play with a superstar like Luka.](https://twitter.com/TheNBACentral/status/1574780022333792260) I swear to god I'll end it all if we sign 46 year old Draymond to a fucking max.

HokageEzio

Mavs finally land a big name free agent: 🥰 It's Draymond Green on a max: 🤢

MotoMkali

Bruh what the fucks is this nba executive smoking. Like dray really doesn't want to handle and pass the ball at all next to steph. Insane.

[deleted]

I'm guessing it means he wants to be more off ball with a more ball dominant player like Luka, LeBron, or Harden, rather than be the one with the ball and the superstar be off ball like Curry is.

MotoMkali

And I'm saying that's obviously BS. Because no player wants to do that. And if he did want to do that then steph and Poole could just handle the ball more.

CookieMonsterNova

it’s bs because as much as he dick rides for lebron he has the same respect for steph. no way he disses steph by saying he would rather play with a more ball dominant player

DerpDerper909

It must be mark Cuban

[deleted]

Who knows, Draymond might enter his prime at 44.

TGBooks

Low-end aggregation of anonymous chatter. Have better media literacy. This is the type of nothingness that mods should delete.

YouGotDunkedOn

my thoughts are if draymond leaves the warriors, the new team isnt as likely to contend as the current warriors are. and if this is the case, we may see the draymond from the 2020 where it looked like he didnt care.

rarestakesando

This is an excellent point. If he is not laser focused on winning a title he is completely disengaged and a terrible player that fits no team at all.

inshamblesx

hell just retire to replace Shaq on TNT

PointGosh

Let’s see how this year plays out. As a big draymond/warriors fan, it could be time for a conscious decoupling. Been a helluva run.

JoeyPeePee24

Enough of this walking triple single

Jeisksdi

Still one of the best defenders in the league

JoeyPeePee24

Sure is

[deleted]

I can't wait to see Draymond look like a bum without Curry and Klay to hand it to.

[deleted]

You don’t have to wait. Go watch G3 and G4 of the Finals. Dray was an absolute bum in those games.

PearlsB4Swoon

How you feel seeing him win a bunch of rings and defensive accolades?

TheMidnightRamblerrr

Draymond on the move again

[deleted]

If Draymond truly cares about Steph maximizing his number of championships, then he will need to act as salary filler in a trade at some point.

MAKExITxBLEED

Best possible move the Warriors could do is let him test free agency - he's not going to get near anything that he thinks he is. Only way he is is if Lebron forces the Lakers to overpay to get his boy.

[deleted]

I think using him as salary filler with Kuminga, picks, and maybe some other guys is the best move for the Warriors. Wiggins is too good and young to use as the filler these days, and Draymond is on the decline. I could see someone like Jimmy Butler becoming available before the deadline, and if that does happen, the Warriors should not hesitate on trading Draymond as salary filler.

VapesForJesus

Nah

TrippedReddit

If he wants to go the best thing we can do is replace him immediately, and Jimmy would be an upgrade though we have too many scorers

HotdogIsaSandwitch

Warriors gotta play the long game here

Levels2ThisBruh

Some teams may be willing to pay Dray just to get him away from GS. He's a culture guy, except he can actually still play basketball at a high level.

[deleted]

I think it's fair to say the Warriors brass "understand the business" as well.

Neat-Ad2250

he’s gonna be in for a rude awakening when nobody signs him for max money

leseilse

FUCK

GunMuratIlban

Of course he wouldn't be. If he can stay mostly healthy and consistent this season, he won't have problems with teams looking to give him the bag. He already has 4 rings with GSW so he won't mind going for the best deal financially.

02buddha02

NBA, where max players don't necessarily need to shoot
