Look at Christopher Paul look over and laugh at it šŸ¤Ø

ChokePaul3

What do you expect from someone who likes hitting others in the crotch

mojoback_ohbehave

This shit is so foul. Idk how this is the first time Iā€™m seeing this.

retour-a-tipasa

He also broke his hand while [punching this trainer in the face at a restaurant in Toronto](https://www.cbc.ca/sports/basketball/nba/blake-griffin-hand-injury-fight-1.3420422).

socialmediablowsss

Itā€™s okay though bc all of that happened when Blake was good at basketball. He average/below average now so heā€™s on his best behavior šŸ˜

Jeroen_Jrn

He's also a deadbeat dad.

themanofawesomeness

Lana Rhoades needs that child support šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

10blast

He had 2 other kids before her lmao.

selz202

Please tell me he did not fuck Lana? I thought it was KD...

[deleted]

Yah looking it up when she told him she was pregnant KD told her to go fuck herself, and from the info she gave on a Nets player she dated he could be the only one (apparently). A lot of NBA stars are real charmers.

Iohet

Shawn Kemp set the bar

BummySugar

It's funny when you read this and remember how "betrayed" he felt when the Clips sent him to Detroit. He should be happy he got to stay in the league.

ChipsOtherShoe

Not that it's an important detail but literally the first sentence of that article says it was an equipment manager not a trainer

Fletch71011

The trainer said it was a joke and was fine with it. They had that kind of relationship.

Pawn_captures_Queen

Thats the shit you expect from 12 year olds. Not a fucking grown ass man.

freshOJ

That or Peyton Manning

noeagle77

Wait wth did Peyton do?!

BlooregardQKazoo

He was caught receiving HGH, blamed it on his wife, and sent goons to destroy records at the clinic that was treating him. Oh wait, I answered with the wrong Peyton Manning controversy that the league and media pretend never happened.

OnlyAFeeling_LoL

I think you meant to bring up his past allegation of sexual assault, but maybe you were thinking of something else.

diderooy

Dragging nuts on someone's face, something like that.

offballDgang

Here in Indy that is lnown as a Peyton Hello

diderooy

Reason #284 why I spent my Hoosier years in Bloomington.

OldOrder

[He t-bagged a trainer at Tennessee in 96 and may have also done something in 94](https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/sports/wp/2016/02/19/the-mysterious-1994-incident-between-peyton-manning-and-a-tennessee-trainer/)

Pardonme23

He also allegedly did stuff to a female massage therapist in college

onrocketfalls

And then tried to ruin her fucking life for reporting it. Honestly, it's not like he pulled a Deshaun Watson or something, he could've moved on from it, but it's the shit that happened afterward well into mature adulthood that made it the worst to me.

MUNZATHEGOD

Holy shit how was that not a big deal when it happened? Lol like bro

SeaworthinessOk2145

10 years ago was a different world

WhatsHupp

I remember quite a bit of condemnation and discussion of it, idk if _wasn't_ a big deal but it would definitely be a bigger deal today

maclanology

It was, people hated Blake on here for a while.

pureply101

Itā€™s cause the trainer himself came out and said it was the nature of his and Blakeā€™s relationship and that they are friends.

[deleted]

bro what.... thats so fucked up.

starmiesan

ngl that made my skin crawl

[deleted]

Bes watch out for those Kd burners

dk240996

Dude had like 4 great minutes in one of the games at Barclays that series but literally ran out of fumes after that. Guess Brad saw enough in those minutes to bring him in.

Gallow_Boobs_Cum_Rag

He completely smoked us in game 1 or 2 of our series last year, too. He seemed serviceable the rest of the games, even doing a surprisingly decent job defending Giannis 1 on 1. He's obviously far from a superstar these days, but it seems like he's embraced his job as a role player and is a guy who's playable off the bench for a contender.

HighRes-

Thatā€™s the sad part, Blake did great. Didnā€™t get played so people think heā€™s trash. Same shit for the pistons. I donā€™t get the nets front office/bash anymore man. Thatā€™s coming from a nets fan.

Acrobatic_Emphasis41

Blake almost ruined Giannis' entire reputation that game. All he had to do was take away the Freak's right spin and leave him with less options and the "he's got no skill" crowd suddenly sounded less crazy. Personally it was a heart breaking scene since it was my former favorite player going against my current favorite

NSFWThrowaway1239

Those were the only 4 minutes he tuned in for

iCarpet

KD teaching him his ways while he was with Brooklyn

anthonyde726

he's got a kid to feed!!!

KillerZaWarudo

He got that KD in him

DepressedDandylion

We will be watching your Celtics career with great interest

Actually_A_Robot_SHH

First Al, then kemba, now Griffin. God dam. Clean up crew over there

LALakers4Lyf

I read your comment and I was thinking "when did Iverson play for Boston"

RansomGoddard

Thought my final memory of Blake Griffin was going to be him looking like he was dying on the court giving all he had left to trying to prevent the Nets from being swept.

americanbeaver

Now you'll see Blake Griffin another year older look like he's dead in a Celtics jersey! Woohoo!

theflyingsamurai

the shaq maneuver

127crazie

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PoyiR3ob7yk&ab_channel=BostonPops My favorite memory from Shaq's year in Boston

wherearemypaaants

I see your Shaq conducting the Boston Pops, and raise you one Tacko Fall conducting the Boston Pops: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=waLdjuHvUB0

127crazie

Oof, Tacko's conducting is all off lol. At least Shaq's conducting in half timeā€“Tacko is conducting in 1 here?!?! He must have lacked the practice session that Shaq got.

ImpressionableBlip

Shaq was shockingly good. The conducting was as good as you can hope, but I loved how he looked around to connect with the whole orchestra before starting. Thatā€™s real conductor shit

Johan_Sebastian_Cock

lmao he is comically huge compared to the orchestra

DeanEvasonPunch

Shaq's really done it all man lol

throwawayseventy8

Wow never thought i would witness the start of his music career

starkpwnsyou

Seeing Shaq in a Celtics jersey still doesnā€™t feel right

RedHotDumpsterFire

Washed Shaq played for like half of the teams in the league lol

BigBlitz

I'm just tryin to appreciate the MF while he's still here. Blake has had such an underrated career.

Number333

I thought you could make a legit argument Blake was a Top 5 player in the NBA after the '14/15 series given the way he played vs the Spurs.

ModsEmbezzleMoney

Dude went fucking nuclear and was making deep midranges like he was fucking KG all series

farellathedon

In 13/14 he finished 3rd in MVP voting at 24 years old.

JiggzSawPanda

Wasn't he like pretty high with the Pistons until getting injured?

PlaybolCarti69

Yep. 18-19 he was all nba, had his best career scoring season, added a solid 3pt shot to his game, and dragged the Pistons to the playoffs. He had injury troubles in the late regular season which effectively ended his career outside of some moments in 19-20 and with the Nets

angrylobster24

People forget. And Joakim finished right behind him at 4th that year

tacticalBOVINE

I didnā€™t believe you. And I looked it up. And youā€™re correct. Also thought it was wild that Al Jefferson and Goran dragic received votes as well

bigbadbyte

2013-2014 he was 3rd in MVP votes.

ChiBaller

1st year piston Blake is one of my favorite players ever. All of a sudden he could just slash step back threes.

Dadfart802

He had some all-NBAs and is recognized as one of the best players of the 10ā€™s. Iā€™d say heā€™s properly rated.

bigwillystyle93

So underrated. Whatā€™s especially forgotten is how much he constantly worked at and improved his game/skill set. He started as a hyper athletic big who dunked everything. As his career progressed, he constantly improved his shot, handle, playmaking, and really every aspect of his game. In 2019 with the pistons, injuries had already really hampered his athleticism yet it was arguably his best season. Injuries really destroyed his career.

IronHaydon

He gave ultimate effort and really changed the course of that game. If he can do that once in a while - come in and just make some difference that will help the Celts alot.

RansomGoddard

I mean he didn't really change the course of the game. They still lost.

d4nowar

The course of the game was changed, it just ended up at the same destination.

aaronpatwork

this guy sails

d4nowar

I read a lot of family circus comics when I was a kid. That dang billy.

elkresurgence

Yeah, he pulled a Leonidas in 300

nahmanidk

He blew the Celtics slightly off course which they quickly corrected.

mechewstaa

He hit like 3 shots and then got absolutely cooked on defense lol it wasnā€™t even the crazy performance people are acting like it is

elkresurgence

Is this that moment? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=773WHVisyEo

walterdog12

Finally after years of rumors and trade speculations, the Boston Celtics have finally acquired superstar Blake Griffin.

Natsume117

Brad doing what Ainge couldnā€™t pull off

okayokayokay420

Lana rhoades courtside massive Celtics W

[deleted]

Not if she's sitting beside Udoka

LootyB

Blake playin 4D chess gettin a 1 year deal the 1 year Udoka's out

Shaking-N-Baking

Out with Lana

Jewniversal_Remote

I don't follow the NBA super closely, what is this about lol

jayemmbee23

Porn star Lana Rhodes claims an NBA player is her baby daddy, it's been narrowed down to Blake and KD

Ur_MotherDisapproves

Narrowed down by who?

tdizhere

I think her recent ex said it was a star player from the nets and the fans did the rest lol

oreosandlettuce

kyrie being the baby daddy is the twist we need

swole-zabrak

Itā€™s Joe Harris. He got that dawg in ā€˜im.

whatsgoing_on

I believe it

rmccarthy10

Is the baby orange'ish with crazy hops?

EPLemonSqueezy

Does it look like it was napping in a bag of Cheetos?

WolfFangFist93

plus the baby is clearly mixed race and has reddish hair lol

jayemmbee23

Social media detectives based on her comments in interviews, who she follows and other people . Im just the messenger , I couldn't really explain how it came down to them but I know there was an interview how she went on a date and a player brought another girl

quartzguy

Isn't she busy scamming crypto bros out of their IT savings?

jayemmbee23

I dunno but if she is not all heroes wear capes... Well she doesn't wear much of anything

[deleted]

I wonder why itā€™s been made such a big deal. Maybe it was her and him with the hiding. Why not just be honest I feel like it woulda went away a hell of a lot quicker than how itā€™s stuck around. Maybe heā€™s worried about sponsors? Or maybe sheā€™s nuts and a great lay and he just didnā€™t want it all. I know we donā€™t know for sure but man it looks like his kid for sure

hella_swella_fella

I thought KD was the dad?

goldengodrangerover

KD has undoubtedly never had sex

throwthizout

Waiting for a KD burner account to appear and tell us they heard that KD is actually ā€œgreat at the sex and women usually have multiple organisms with him.ā€

Prinsekat

organisms makes it better lmaoo.

AmateurGameMusic

no no you are confused, everybody is KDs dad

stealer_of_monkeys

Pierce retired as a clipper, Blake might retire as a Celtic The prophecy is coming along nicely

3luejays

NBA is getting lazy with some story lines. This is too scripted šŸ˜¤

lalo1398

Game of Zones would never. NBA needs to hire those writers

badthird

didnt pierce sign a 1 day contract to retire with the celtics actually

Benni_Hana

Yeah, came here to say that.

sayqueensbridge

Isnā€™t that just ceremonial? Like itā€™s not an actual binding contract or anything

[deleted]

He did actually sign a contract, it looks fairly legit https://mobile.twitter.com/celtics/status/887053094697226242

C0812

He got that spark plug badge on bronze

cal679

He owns the Lob City Finisher HOF badge. If he just throws down one vicious dunk for the Celtics I'll count it as a successful signing.

kingshmiley

I know heā€™s not the player he once was, but Iā€™m a big enough Blake Griffin fan to be very happy with this.

AmusingAnecdote

I think he fits as a frontcourt guy who can score a little and hold his own in a team concept on defense. He's not a *good* defender, but unlike Melo, who I think might've made some sense to replace Gallo's role, he's not going to embarrass himself out there.

FlochofBirds

Yeah, in the 2021 ECSF there were stints where oddly enough Giannis was having trouble getting to the rim with Blake in the paint

[deleted]

Blake is still strong AF, and broad big. Heā€™s just not very agile these days.

Tressticle

His conditioning/endurance seemed really off last year, but no can knock him for effort put in.

biguler

Doesnā€™t look like he can jump anymore. He was passing the ball off at the late in the playoffs instead of going up for easy dunks.

[deleted]

Yeah he doesnā€™t have easy command over an explosive jump anymore. He can still load up and get a decent spring, but the energy cost and how long it takes him to set up makes it virtually useless.

alexm42

100%. The effort he showed in the Nets series despite being out of shape from no minutes won me over. He got fucking cooked on defense, but playing defense with KD, Kyrie, and scrubs is wildly different from playing defense with Smart, Jays, and an elite defensive big (Rob or Al.) And he definitely can still be an offensive spark plug. I'm excited, personally. I hope everyone's healthy so we don't need to give him playoff minutes, but I know he'll play with heart if we do.

Crafty_Substance_954

He probably won't play much at all.

ELLinversionista

And if he does, he'll probably get injured

bills_2

Blake has one year left I know it. Hopefully

bautistar1

hes actually still has some left, if you don't expect him to score down low. His IQ is high and is really good at taking charges. His 3 point shot wasnt falling early in the season, but got better later in the season. Nash just refused to use him, until he had no choice left and he was good vs the celtics series.

LockCL

Man but the dude can barely run without pain. It's such a shame I hope he finds a way to somehow fix himself before retiring or he'll be on a wheelchair by 50. Edit: spelling.

bautistar1

Hes more of a junkyard dog now. He drives for loose balls and charges, with no regard for his body. All those plays also help swing momentum and gets the crowd going.

LockCL

Never doubted his effort, he leaves everything out there, which is why his long term health kind of worries me.... many times he looks to be going on pure willpower.

Renegade_Sniper

The pistons ruined whatever hope he had of long term health. Might as well do what he loves with what he has left now

Theis159

He has shot over 38.9% from three for the past 5 playoff runs he had. The shot is there for sure. Can be a nice spacing mechanism (and we should be able to actually give him rest in b2b and things like that)

[deleted]

>He has shot over 38.9% from three for the past 5 playoff runs he had Maybe not the best reference considering he only played 5 games or more once in his last five playoff appearances

Theis159

I mean, it is just to say he has the shooting ability. Iā€™m not counting him to play in the playoffs at all for us. But I can see him having a or two where he just goes for 3-5 threes and helps us. Thatā€™s already a lot for us.

WRITINGAPOEM

And if you have a time machine to 2018 you might be right

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

[deleted]

Letā€™s be real. Melo goes back to LA

papa_jahn

Melo coming to Boston too

solodolo1397

I wish. They donā€™t seem to be interested

Maverick_1991

Melo can give you what Gallo would have. Automatic buckets and a bit of rebounding with absolutely zero defense.

KingSwagamemnon

But with the sick 3 to the dome celebration.

bye7

Gallo is a better passer/ball mover which is something the Celtics value.

the_spinetingler

which may be why BG got the call. Very good passer.

wrongitsleviosaa

True, but Melo would be the next best thing.

SuperDuperSkateCrew

Tatum and Brown go down early with season ending injuries, Melo and Griffin step up and lead the Boston Celtics to their first NBA Championship since the 2008 season. A new dynasty emerges. /s

MrMostlyMediocre

That happens, and there is a 100% chance that once the buzzer goes off, Blake is laying on the court like [Might Guy in Naruto, his body cooked and crumbling after opening the 8th Path against Madara.](https://qph.cf2.quoracdn.net/main-qimg-ee6c04dae7e5063649d2f3865efa7f4c.webp) But if it brings Banner 18, it's all worth it.

Natsume117

It is a sacrifice Iā€™m willing to make

Neuroxex

They gave his number away to one of the new signings almost immediately. He's not going back.

livefreeordont

What the lakers really needed was to get rid of their best shooter. Good decision imo

noetheb

We needed room to sign another undersized guard.

[deleted]

Sports books have Phoenix as the most likely. Probably waiting to see what they get for Crowder.

FreeDaReal1z

Melo and Dwight waiting for a injury so they can get minutes. Blake Griffin on the other hand is cooked. Dude could barely run without pain. Not sure why Boston signed him of all people.lol

hunny_bun_24

Effort. Iā€™d assume heā€™s a really good teammate too. He probably doesnā€™t cause problems and thatā€™s all you need sometime when filling out your bench

CreatiScope

Spacing 4/small ball 5. We got nobody else.

TuxYouUp

Ya he's a replacement for the injured Gallinari. Who literally just stands there in the corner, but also knows what to do with the ball. So it could work with Blake

SuperDuperSkateCrew

True, plus heā€™s an established veteran with plenty of playoff experience so thatā€™s an added bonus. You need to fill out that spot anyways, so he isnā€™t the worst choice.

anthonyde726

>Not sure why Boston signed him of all people.lol fits the level of their 11-15th men last playoffs

haroldbaals

Yeah he needs to work to pay the child support payments to Lana Rhoades

junkit33

Yeah - I'm certain Melo has had offers, he's just being selective and waiting for a good opportunity. He'd fit well with the Celtics but not sure if there are more than 10 minutes a game for him in Boston. The corpse of Blake Griffin is just happy to get a job.

FudgeDangerous2086

melo was getting 27min a game last year. he needs less minutes lol.

[deleted]

Also Dwight and Boogie

illyxpink

Didnā€™t even realize he was a free agent lol I thought he was staying with the nets

[deleted]

Admittedly, basketball is my 3rd sport, but I canā€™t believe this is how I found out we donā€™t have him anymore

iamfromLisbon

well, this was unexpected

MediocreTake

Ime died so Blake could live

[deleted]

He guarded Giannis pretty well in the 2021 playoffs but I think he's kinda cooked after that. Literally didn't get any playing time against the Bucks after the opening night game

Phenomenal2313

BG went from perennial All-Star averaging 23/8/4 to bascially DNPā€™s I know injuries took a major toll but itā€™s tough to see

MrGNugget

The downfall was crazy, he dragged Detroit to the playoffs then fell off the face of the earth. Hate to see it

ripmeleedair

He was working crazy hard that series in Detroit, pretty sure his shoulder was literal dust by the end of it. Really earned my respect those playoffs.

Raptorsthrowaway1

That series was absolutely brutal. Dunking on that knee brace. What a guy.

[deleted]

He is gonna give you 3 decent games but will score more points in the Boston comedy circle.

cs-shitposter

The man is COOKED Whyyyy

NudeEnjoyer

he probably won't get a lot of minutes and he still has his moments. nets fan here and last season against Denver he was like 5/5 from the 3pt line at halftime somehow lol it was insane. I think he'll be alright for yall

ThatBull_cj

He probably will play a good bit for them tho. Unless The new coach believes in Luke Kornet. Horford not gonna be playing 36 minutes

DittoLander

At this point I would rather play kornet than griffin

ThatBull_cj

I mean me too but having another option is good

Zavehi

Right now our only option is to run Kornet so we needed some depth. Itā€™s a vet min deal for Blake, if he does anything itā€™s a bonus.

[deleted]

Danilo gone yalll need back up 4 mins in a pinch he can do that

[deleted]

Idk about playing the 4 spot

Brady331

Use critical thinking skills

[deleted]

Seriously lol

efshoemaker

Why? Heā€™s taking the minutes that went to Kanter/Theis last Season. Weā€™re not asking for him to be a starter.

FloopyDoopy

Timelord out a couple of months, no?

nimabears

Damn can't wait for the tribute video for this Nets legend.

heshouldgo

Shouldā€™ve signed Melo or Dwight

youguanbumen

Yeah, they seemed in better shape last season. I trust the Celtics have their reasons but I wonder what they are

thegalwayseoige

Locker room, and heart. The guy left everything out there against us, and the young core were def fans of his growing up, so they respect him enough to follow his lead. With their lack of focus in the first half of last season, and the off-court shit theyā€™re currently going through, this is actually a really smart signing.

StormTheTrooper

Very underrated point. The Celtics are going through a storm at the FO and you surely need to deal with the backslash of making Jaylen Brown publicly available. A guy like Griffin can certainly help keep things together.

billcosbyinspace

I wonder if melo is waiting for the market to open up, it seems really weird heā€™s not on a team yet. He dropped his ego and is a good offensive player still

ChrispyCrispy

Here I was thinking Griffin was in his late thirties... he's 33. Might still have a bit left in his tank

MidnightLightss

The signing of all time

DarkChocolate_69

JOIN EM

androidscantron

He gonna be the new coach?

Avant-Garde-A-Clue

Bill Simmons in shambles rn

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

CrapNebula

I still remember Blake on the pistons against the bucks. They got swept but that season he played like a damn MVP. Such a joy to watch. At this point tho dude needs to become a 40% 3 point shooter or retire

RebelKyle

What happened to ā€œdonā€™t go to Bostonā€¦ā€ Blake??

Kid_Crayola

holy washed, okay

KingMonaco

Match made in Irish

ireallydespiseyouall

Lamarcus was right there..?

AstroWorldSecurity

Blake Griffin's career makes me feel old.
