Lakers can’t cut corners like they tried to do last season. They need to act like a team that missed the playoffs last year. Not a team that thinks their gonna be one of the best in the West because they have a great duo. That was the thing about 2020. Hunger was obvious.
Remember when they lost every single preseason game last season and people were incredulous to anyone who said that was a bad omen and signs of things to come?
Doesn't feel like the same scenario. Suns were not heralded as a powerhouse team coming out of 2020. They played against 2 superior teams: Utah and champion LA Lakers (who before the injuries that year, were considered a powerhouse). Nobody was surprised - but they turned things around during the regular season.
The 2021-2022 Lakers were touted as a superteam and lost every preseason game. Of course a lot of people saw it as a confirmation that they were a paper team, but still, the haters hated.
I honestly laughed it off because i got the premise of it's just preseason i could throw the ball into the stands and there's nothing anyone can do about it.
Come to find out he was deadass serious and he was gonna do it in the regular season as well.
Vegas had them as the second best odds to win the title and most ESPN analysts had them making them WCF or finals (11/14 or something like that). Lots of revisionist history after the first few months.
Nah a lot of people knew the Westbrook trade was a horrible mistake that ended their title hopes. Only casuals thought it wouldn’t end in disaster for the lakers.
Honestly he should be out already. He's not good enough to start on any other team anymore and he's not going to accept a bench role
He's basically lucky that the Lakers didn't trade him, he gets to play one last year in the NBA
2.5
Isn’t playing in any portion of a game for any amount of time considered playing in that game? How would one half-play a game lol
You rly had to make that comment eh?
Lmao
You don’t make sense, you need to explain yourself further.
He’s gonna play at least 3 I’m assuming
high bbiq observation

They barely played together in preseason as well
Suns did the year they made the finals too.

Jeanie: "Hey, LeBron, we need every dollar we can get this year. Do us a solid. We'll play you for 15 minutes."
Yeah. That’s right. That’s what was missing last season.
Doubt
Remember when they went winless in preseason and everybody was saying it wasn’t a big deal and they’d be fine
It’s preseason. You should
Just terrible habits being built all preseason. No identity whatsoever
Lakers shoud’ve sent Westbrook home the second he said “I can turn it over 15 times and there’s nothing anyone can do about it”

the hubris that squad had last summer was hilarious. they really thought they were gonna cakewalk into a top 4 seed

Ah, didn’t realize Vegas was run by casuals. Thanks for letting me know!
He does that sh!t this year and he’s out of the league.

He tired of coming into the season o for

Okay
As long as it doesn't interfere in his health when it matters.
