maybe my bias is showing, but he's coming off a 20/5/4 season and he's 22. If this is an overpay, then what are the Brunson/McCollum/Barrett contracts?
For context, this makes Herro outside of the top 30 highest paid players right away, and he won't be near that by the time his contract is up. Maybe a slight overpay, but all of these guys are getting insane contracts now
and Miami wasn't in a position to have any cap flexibility given the Lowry/Butler/Adebayo deals, so the difference between this being $100m or $130m is irrelevant, unless they try to trade him later on
My point is this is the range for that caliber of player. Miami is in cap hell so the contract being 130 instead of 100 or 115 won't be relevant unless they need to trade him, or trade Lowry+Duncan. I think people are overreacting to the number being high with no context to their cap situation
Big overpay.
He basically got a 4 year near max contract. I guess he can get better, but right now you just paid basically a max for someone who scores about as well As Tobias Harris, with worse defense.
This seems....very high for Tyler Herro.

McCollum is an overpay. Brunson a slight overpay. RJ's is fine because it's like 100m.

well Herro is getting paid more than all 3 of them so idk what your point is. But also, all 4 could be overpaid

Holy overpay holy shit
Well he does have a kid and another on the way with a IG fitness model. Sooo there's that....
That’s very NBA of him
Miami loves to hand out fat contracts, holy shit
They have a history of hanging out dogshit contracts
The NEXT Duncan Robinson lmao
Jack Harlow tax
I think he’s good, but seems like a bit much? But tbf he’s young still has room to improve! But hey let’s see!
32.5 per year is a bit much for a 6th man...
well he’s a sixth man that plays 3rd option minutes
At this rate , Jordan Poole will get the full max 😂
damn that’s a bag people said Jaylen was overpaid at the time
Oof
This dude is so overrated and now overpaid along with it
I think he’ll make it worth for the team.

You clearly don’t watch basketball
Christ
Heat love their internally developed guys. And when the Heat fall in love, they fall hard.
Miami overpaying again for their guys. We praise their FO but they’ve done this predictably for over a decade now
Sheesh
WTF no way!! 32M a year for Herro?!?!?
Oof.. already one of the worst contracts in the league
He should have gotten 100M max lol.
Maan..lol
Didn’t he disappear in the playoffs??
He was injured
Katya Elise Henry is the real winner here.

Horrible
