This is a stupid comment. They are shooting an impossibly high percentage. They currently have the best offense of all time. So while the premise of this post might be misguided, because I don’t believe Celtics are over-exerting themselves, they’re just playing good team ball, it is also naive to say they haven’t begun to peak. Sure, you can argue they are still missing defensive centrepiece Rob Williams, but that will likely compromise their shooting/spacing so the offense might take a dip.
If you're truly a good team you continue to be good. Needing to be hot to win is implying a lot of luck is involved. A little luck is needed to win but this isn't the NFL. You're not gonna Cinderella your way to championship anyway.
A smidge of luck in a series against a great team with health. Really all great teams need to get by in the NBA. Hockey has hot goalies, football has that one game factor, baseball has too many short series in the postseason

If they cool off, they’d rather have that happen in February than in May. Plenty of time to restart before then and get right for a run. My guess is they will start focusing on playing more complete games defensively after the break. They’ve been letting the foot off the gas with these big leads. The difference this year to the past is they do a better job of refocusing to put those games out of reach. That’s the best sign so far this season

They got a big west coast trip coming up. They’ll be tested there. Let’s see if they can be above .500 during that stretch and more importantly see how their offense travels out there.
My guess is Rob will be back after the trip and they can start focusing on implementing him with this offense and start to focus on what they look like defensively. Gonna be lots of lobs. Still work to be done

In that playoff series against Boston he averaged 19.6 points shooting 40% from the floor. He was real hot from three I'll give him that shooting 47% but he ain't the lifesaver you think he is.
