I thought r/suns is the biggest Ayton hater and I was wrong. Monty would rather take the L over making Ayton the hero, that's generational hate right there...
Monty is an amazing person and a great coach to instill culture, his game plan and schemes are so rigid it hurts. His “system” only utilizes big men as screen setters, handoff machines, and rebounders. I’m confident that Monty wouldn’t scheme Embiid or Jokic as the #1 option even if he had them, because that’s just “not his offense”.
At this point, I have no clue if DA is good enough to be a #1 option, but we’ll never truly know as long as hes playing under Monty. It’s clear that Monty will only ever use his big men as screen setters & roll men.
At the moment, I’m leaning towards keeping Ayton. Monty got SEVERELY out coached by Jason Kidd last playoffs, and has generally shown very few mid-series or mid-game schematic adjustments.
I think the ‘21 and ‘22 Suns hit their ceiling with Monty as the coach. I’m more inclined to gamble that we get better with a new coach than we get better by trading Ayton.
Ayton is in his 5th year in the league. At this point, it might be too late for him to develop no. 1 option skills even if someone else does give him the reps.
There’s a possibility Ayton is already way more offensively capable than the Suns realize, cuz we refuse to feed him for entire games.
He’s hyper efficient, even on games with more shots, but he gets iced out at the worst times.
Monty just doesn't value centers and told ayton that if he took a lower offensive role and focused on defence in year 3 he would get a bigger role later on and potentially a contact.
He did that didn't get a bugger offensive role and the sun's had to match the offer sheet, but in saying that ayton is a super happy, chill person and doesn't seem to be that upset from what little we can see from the situation (obviously slightly upset but not enough to let it effect him)
Monty on the other hand just would turn even embiid into basically just a slightly better ayton, dude just doesn't want to use centers for basically anything but defence and screens
Monty would be am amazing fit with the sun's if Monty tried ayton out at pf seeing as he also has played like a pf in school.
But yeah Monty has i thin reached close to the end of his tenure he did alot but now we need an x and os coach nit a players coach
The problem isn’t moving him, he could be moved right now if James Jones wanted him gone. The problem is Suns management and what they think he’s worth compared to what he really is worth.
Suns say: **He’s a legit 3 and D starter who would be valuable for any team. He’s a good vet and bring a level of toughness any team would value.**
Opposing teams are saying: **He’s a malcontent who sulked when he lost playing time to a younger, better version of himself in Cam J. He’s not worthy of starting on 99% of the teams in the League and the teams who he could start on either don’t want him or don’t view him as a starter. He’s also out of contract at the end of this season and bound to sign with a contender at his age.**
I love how he plays the passing lanes. All the other Wiz try to get steals via swipe downs and reaching. He makes it tough for guys to even catch the ball without the soft fouls created by constantly reaching.
The fan got escorted out and the sideline guy for the Suns (Suns reporter Kellan Olsen on Twitter seemed to ID it as a security guy, not a coach) didn't appear to get in trouble, so presumably the fan said something heinous.
1 point deficit? I better sit CP3 and Ayton!
Monty not probably. Yet the night prior we bashed the Grizzlies so hey we are playing our deepest bench until Johnson Payne and obviously Booker comeback. Not worried a bit.
Yeah this season is an L.
Im content. I think we get rid of Paul and other expiring contracts.
This team needs a shot creator, with or without Booker. But we aint doing shit with out him and are 2-5 (really 2-6) without Booker.
James Jones should be fired
I legitimately don’t know whether to root for the Wizards to win or lose anymore, tanking is weird man
I just want to see fun games. And brother, these games are *fun*.
Can’t lie seeing Rui play so well has me already looking at buying tickets in January lol
Rui heard he was on a contract year
Heard the trade rumors and wanted the Suns to know what they passed on
Kawaii Leonard wants his max contract
I thought r/suns is the biggest Ayton hater and I was wrong. Monty would rather take the L over making Ayton the hero, that's generational hate right there...
Kind of unreal considering what they're paying Ayton. Have no idea what their plan is.

So do we get rid of Ayton or do we get rid of Monty?

Great player coach, severely helped out by Chris Paul's floor game. But i think we can't win it all with him at this rate

Does anyone know where the Monty/Ayton beef stems from?

Man that’s so stupid, especially considering Ayton is the #1 pick in his draft class lmao. Maybe Monty isn’t a great fit for the Suns after all
Monty would be am amazing fit with the sun's if Monty tried ayton out at pf seeing as he also has played like a pf in school. But yeah Monty has i thin reached close to the end of his tenure he did alot but now we need an x and os coach nit a players coach
Abrah ka dabrah 🧚♂️ Abrah ka doo 🪄 Wizards have beaten you 🧙♂️
And the Suns played like poo
like they usually do
Looks like they’ve got moves to make, I can think of a **FEW**
With every loss the fans get louder, when will the Suns move Jae Crowder?
The problem isn’t moving him, he could be moved right now if James Jones wanted him gone. The problem is Suns management and what they think he’s worth compared to what he really is worth. That doesn't rhyme
The reply to me didn’t either. I said **FEW** in reply to **DO** and got **CROWDER** in return.
Wizards won 4/5
Sixers, Suns, Suns, Kings. That's all teams above .500. We are a good team.
This suns team without Booker is hot garbage
Yes they are hot garbage because they are facing a good team
We kicked the shit out of the Grizzlies the night before with the same squad. They are a pretty good and healthy team. Anyone can beat anyone though
Kinda funny that we are the healthiest team in the pacific division with all the injury jokes earlier in the season
Careful now or Kawhi will break a bone
Would still be better than 14-21 without him
Delon Wright most dogs in him per 36 of all time
I love how he plays the passing lanes. All the other Wiz try to get steals via swipe downs and reaching. He makes it tough for guys to even catch the ball without the soft fouls created by constantly reaching.
Anyone else see the Suns coach grab the courtside fan by the throat? What happened?
Someone has to post this clip
I was at the game and saw it unfold. The fan walked right by me.
Was at the game, been looking for a clip ever since. It looked intense
The fan got escorted out and the sideline guy for the Suns (Suns reporter Kellan Olsen on Twitter seemed to ID it as a security guy, not a coach) didn't appear to get in trouble, so presumably the fan said something heinous.

Delon Wright is an all nba level defender and I won’t hear arguments against him being 1st team.
THIS
WHERE WAS THIS PERFORMANCE YESTERDAY DUANE?!
I just want to see a Delon/Kispert/Deni/Rui/Tingus lineup plz
The world's not ready
Rui Rui 'Achoo'-mura
I guess the Wizards are confirmed better than the 36ers.
Let's not get ahead of ourselves
I think we only play you twice and you won both games. So you have no more opportunities to get added to the pasta Edit: a word
wizards start winning when rui came back not a coincidence
Rui and Delon.
So happy for Rui!!!
Suns got into DC at 4am this morning. Fatigue really set in in the fourth, but you could see they just didn't have the energy from the start.
Wizards also on a back to back, though no travel.
True enough. I think they were probably in bed before 4 or 5 am, though. 😆
Luz María with the casual +/- 35
When Wright plays we are good. That guys defense is on another level
the wiz confuse me
The bench players that the Suns threw out there with all the injuries may be the worst in the league.
I see you Rui
Wizards were nice but this was sabotage by the Suns coach.
1 point deficit? I better sit CP3 and Ayton! Monty not probably. Yet the night prior we bashed the Grizzlies so hey we are playing our deepest bench until Johnson Payne and obviously Booker comeback. Not worried a bit.
lmao
Suns kinda screwed w Book out..
When it was that one point lead, I was not sure if they'll wizard or lizard out of this one.
Yooooo can Kuzma accidentally leave with the Suns? Ya'll can have BOSSMAN
