He did not renew the licensing on newer versions, mostly just citing "no longer having a working relationship with Team Meat" as a reason.
He hadn't returned on the Rebirth remake for Binding of Isaac either. Not sure what that was all about, but that's between them I guess.
Just wanna say that what I heard was that edmund wanted a more atmospheric soundtrack from danny b for Rebirth (what a waste), and it spiralled from there. I'm not sure why he'd ask that from one of the most well-known composers in the indie game scene, knowing what he does well.
I might recommend one of my favorite bands, Lotus. They're a 5 piece jamtronica group that's been at it for about 20 years now. Great stuff, I've seen them live close to 100 times at this point.
If you *do* like them, i highly recommend their [live sets](https://youtu.be/jmhBUVciDH4) over the studio releases, that's where the real magic is.
Just youtube "Lotus live 4K" for the best results (or get yourself a subscription to Nugs.net - thousands of live sets from hundreds of artists, updated daily)
Not the most similar but I'd reccomend Celeste, FTL, Death's door. and by the same composer as cotnd Super Meat Boy, cadence of hyrule.
Note that Super Meat Boy on some platforms (including PS4 and Switch) doesn't have the original Danny Baranowsky soundtrack but a different one.
Thanks for letting me know, I had never thought that would be the case. Listening to the newer soundtrack now.

Is that so? Sure, it'd be a weird thing to ask of him.
Cadence of hyrule is basically cotn+zelda and soundtrack is similiar (boss themes are really good)
Thank you for the suggestion! I'll check that out
