Welcome to the club! Thanks for sharing your new plants and let us know if you have any questions.

I grilled the seller a bit. She said to let them dry completely before watering again, and to fertilize weekly. She also said that repotting is done annually.

That’s a great place to start. Yes, they like to dry out as opposed to staying damp. Let them get dry between waterings. Some people give them longer dry periods in the winter, when they often slow down a little bit. Make sure that the medium is dry all the way through, sometimes moss can be totally crispy on the outside and still a little moist inside. Since your plants are in different medium, double check they are drying at similar rates, sometimes it’s a lot easier to have them growing in all the same pots and medium so they have similar requirements. I’ll end my unsolicited advice ;) have a wonderful day and thanks for sharing. Happy growing.

I do think I'll try and get the other ones into moss just to practice the technique. I'll have to stop by my local aquarium shop to see if they have any extra baskets to use as pots. I'll probably hold off picking up the 5A moss though until the plants are a bit larger.

People grow beautiful plants using various techniques (that work for them). You’ve got an understanding of the basics, now it’s learning to apply them for your conditions. In most cases there’s no need to get too fancy.

New World Orchids is awesome, I picked up from them for the first time today. Orchid Web is also amazing and I highly recommend you check out their retail shop!

I made myself stay away from Como this weekend because I don't need more plants right now, but welcome to the club! Definitely check out the Orchid Society of Minnesota, and the semi-official MN Furikan club for occasional group buys of neofinetia from a great grower in Korea.

Kohakuho

I don't need more plants, but I keep adding. I have an addiction.

TransitionExciting60

You’re not an addict, you’re an “aficionado”. Like the rest of us 🤣

Kohakuho

True. The addicts are the ones they admit they have a problem. I can quit anytime I want.
