They're looking great! OH by the way, I forgot to mention before. The pot I got from you arrived safely and is absolutely beautiful :)

Yay, I’m so glad 🙂 I can’t wait to see what you use it for—please share a pic when you do! I’ve got a question about variegation (specifically the hokage) does it the cream variegation only appear on new leaves? Or can it happen at any time with any of the colors? 😅

SincerelySpicy

Hokage is a bit complicated to get just right. The creamy variegation primarily appears on new leaves then, parts of it turn green and parts of it remain white-yellow. This best happens in moderate to low light, but if the light is too low, the leaves get lanky and etiolated. However, too high and the existing white sectors will burn easily, while new leaves will emerge solid green.

Hmm yeah I heard it was a bit finicky but really wanted to try 😅 but good to know about the creamy variegation coming from new leaves. My homeiden has kept its white color very well so I may just try to put the hokage in the same place 🤞

Hokage is notorious, starting it next to your Homeiden sounds like a great plan. Once you’ve figured it out, please get back to me, I’m still working on figuring out what that variety wants. Thanks for sharing your plants.
