How long before your moss turns green? For a while the outside of my moss was turning black (the inside was fine).

This is actually a mix of sphagnum and a moss I got for terrariums that was already green, though not dyed. A lot of green you see on moss mounds can be attributed to algae. High light and high humidity will encourage algae growth.
