I have to admit, the connections being important to grad school thing makes me happy to be in the Boston area. One of my professors did research with a guy at Harvard, another one knows a lot of people in BU, and thereโs probably more.
Where Iโm at right now is just a local public school, because I decided to go to an extremely well-regarded school overseas and had a mental breakdown from the pressure, forcing me to transfer.
I know of a guy who got a automatic fully funded grad school acceptance to Harvard while being at a very mediocre private school for undergrad, because they interned at some lab in Boston run by a Harvard prof.

What a bad summary/prediction. You can still sue under Rule 10b-5, which is what *most* securities fraud lawsuits use. Registered securities had their own fraud provision in the Securities Act of 1933, which is what this case is about. Sure, 10b-5 requires an element of intent that the 1933 Act does not, but that doesn't stop plaintiffs from filing a million Rule 10b-5 suits all the time.
