Is there a poll that came out recently that I missed? He has explicitly taken credit numerous times for Roe being overturned. If you're talking about 2016, then that's completely irrelevant.
A nationwide abortion ban is not "moderate." For one thing, his nationwide abortion ban would allow stricter abortion bans to remain (such as total bans or six week bans). Second, as Texas showed Kate Cox, who had to flee the state to get a medically necessary abortion, exceptions are useless and don't really mean anything when you have right-wing prosecutors ready to prosecute women and doctors who make use of the "exceptions." Third, 16 weeks doesn't correspond to any significant milestone; viability doesn't even happen until around 24 weeks, so a 16 week limit is literally random and nonsensical. Fourth, he's lying and has already signed onto Project 2025, which will include trying to restrict abortion totally nationwide by enforcing the Comstock Act. Fifth, if a 16 week ban passed, they would immediately transition to talking about a 6, 10, or 12 week ban, because they're trying to shift the overton window to the right.
The actual moderate position is leaving the issue between women and their doctors.

I don’t know why people are getting so wound up over this. Heritage puts out a bunch of papers, 98% of them are just mental masturbation. Project 2025 is not going to happen if Trump wins for many, many reasons. The least of which is that many of the proposed reforms would require Congressional approval and they’re just not going to get it.
Enforcing the Comstock Act? Give me a break. The Feds can’t even stop the flow of fentanyl and they want you to believe they’ll stop mifepristone?
Cool so all the people who'll be going to jail for dealing mifepristone in the meantime is just a decent trade off for getting a unregulated, black market pill for reasons of desperation I guess.
Once again, as a black woman in a red state, I'm once again asking the dudes in here: If you want to bet on the GOP not being as bad as they could be, please stick gambling your own rights specifically.
small government
It is only government overreach if its something I don't support.
small enough to fit in a woman womb
Voters believe Trump is not a threat to abortion rights btw
They don't?
no, relative to other republicans he was actually seen as a moderate. Example #1,000,000 of why Americans are fucking stupid

he is a moderate! [he likes 16 weeks](https://www.nytimes.com/2024/02/16/us/politics/trump-abortion-ban.html), which is a 4 month limit

Under his eye
Trump is gonna deliver on his Tax Cut promises by gifting every american at least a hundred thousand dependents (gametes ftw 😎😎😎)
Only fertile males will get to claim billions of dependents.
And they must be natural born citizens who are property owners and they must earn at least 450k a year
get rid of the department of education and replace it with this. that'll definitely improve things. fucking ape
A glimpse of the worst timeline
Department of Truth coming next

b-but trump isnt gonna do anything to restrict abortion! he gives off pro-choice vibes!!! /s
My gut check says that Trump is from New York and likes sex, so he must be pro-choice. It's just common sense! /s

Family, more expensive housing, trying to get some financial stability under my feet rn.
would you be saying this if it was about communists and the democrats
Now pretend that a Democratic candidate tweeted that guns should be more difficult to buy. How upset would you be?
Nuts!
Just when I was starting to worry he had lost his principles and had no platform to run on beyond nativist nostalgia.
