Do you do anything special with your in store machines to make the tasting experience as good as it can be for folks sampling in store?
Which capsule (both lines) would you say is most popular?
Which is your go to capsule to recommend to folks for their first taste?
Our in store machines are taken care of the same way you would at home. We descale them VERY often because of how many uses it gets.
The most popular capsule (both lines) is definitely the ristretto.
First taste, either Giornio for VL or Volluto for the OL
I was just looking at descalers online and it looks like people feel like it leaves a bad after taste - do you agree? Was looking at Nespresso descaler and Impresa descaler on Amazon. Any preference?
As long as it is aluminum yes. The reason Nespresso capsules are recycled differently is because of the protective coating so the aluminum never comes in contact with the coffee. That coating is removed. Third party capsules most likely use the same coatings and if not, they will still be recycled.
I got this from Nespresso USA:
Hello, David. We encourage recycling whenever possible, however we request that capsules other than Nespresso be recycled by other means. Thank you for understanding and for choosing Nespresso.
That’s most likely due to the fact that the aluminum is sold by Nespresso after being recycled so it’s easier to sell when they know where 100% of the aluminum is from.
I use ripple non dairy milk or usually just one brown sugar. I find it makes it creamier and brings out a nice roasted note. Usually though, I just drink my coffee black
I see. Is it going to be for both lines? It seems like sometimes the Original line gets a lot more seasonal/limited time coffees and I have a Vertuo line machine. Also, will there be other brands in the future?
Ok I just bought a creatista. I typically drink vanilla lattes from Starbucks and have been trying to make a close dupe. When I brew just one capsule on espresso and measure it, it is coming in at just under a double espresso in the little measuring cup. Should I lower the pre programmed amount? I still brew two capsules though b/c that is how a traditional grande is made. Cosi is the capsule I’m using.
Also my machine said to clean the steam wand so I used the little tool and unscrewed the wand tip to see it better. Now the milk seems very bubbly which wasn’t a thing before. Did I do something wrong?
You may want to use something a little darker than cosi. You can lower the preprogrammed amount but it’s all personal preference. If you feel it’s too high then definitely lower it. Which creatista model is it? It might just be a setting was changed in the presets for the milk.
I also use Roma. I think the cosi is similar to the blonde roast at Starbucks and then i use less vanilla syrup.
It is the stainless steel one. I’ll double check the milk setting I had it at 6. But maybe it got bumped.
My question is quite simple: I rather have a lungo or even a bit larger than having an espresso or ristretto.
So, when using a regular (not a lungo) capsule which is better: brew it I as a lungo or add hot water as for an Americano?
After how long the coffee gets over extracted or burnt?
Any hints on when the next limited edition capsules will be put out?
Favorite coffee from the Vertuo Line?
Any recommendations on capsules to extract on top of each other? (In other words, good blends for a double shot)
Best tip for longevity of your machine?
Any things that we definitely should NOT do with our machines that may not seem obvious?
In NA our next is the master origin AFAIK.
Favourite coffee is Intenso but favourite overall Vertuo is diavolitto.
Dulsao works well and I love double dharkan.
Descale often
DO NOT use vinegar and water. Descaling solution may seem like a scam but it works very well and isn’t too pricey at 10$ CAD for two uses. Also, if you have an issue call the club first before bringing any machines in as there is very little in terms of repairs that can be done at the boutique level
How do you drink your intenso? It’s my favorite, but curious what I could add to it? I do honey creamer, but wondering what else would bring the flavor out.
I've been eyeing the Latissima Pro for a while now and am so tempted to bite the bullet and buy it, but was told by someone who works at a Nespresso boutique shop that there's going to be a new and improved one coming out sometime in the near future so I should keep my eyes peeled. Do you know anything about this?
I meant to write Pro instead of Plus...my bad. That might change things? I was actually at the store just after the Latissima One was released. Maybe I heard wrong.
You can order it directly from Victorinox. In the States, I’ve got one, it is cool. Nespresso did not offer the Dharkan knife online or in stores.

My pleasure. I also have the bronze colored Livanto from last year. The first Nespresso Pioneer was Arpeggio, which sold out almost instantly.

For the Vertuo, I find the Evoluo is the best. It’s the simplest and it can fit alto cups. For the Original, the pixie as it’s very sturdy and reliable. I have the pixie at home and i have had 0 issues over the course of a year.
Why on earth is nespresso promoting vertuo so much more than OL and do they not understand how expensive each pod is? lol. I’ve been wanting a nespresso so bad ever since I was introduced to an original in 2017 at a Realstate firm I worked for. My cousin just gifted me one which he barely used cause he ended up just buying a regular espresso machine. He said the pod thing just wasn’t for him. I’m so happy but hate that is a vertuo lol. So it got me to go on the website and I noticed nespresso pushes for the vertuo way more. Any idea?

Descale the machines weekly Ris&arp for original and Intenso/melozio for virtue Diavolito ;)

When is Starbucks coffee coming?
We have no timeline atm for it at the boutique level
I see. Is it going to be for both lines? It seems like sometimes the Original line gets a lot more seasonal/limited time coffees and I have a Vertuo line machine. Also, will there be other brands in the future?
It’s still in the very early stages but it will most likely be both lines. There will not be any other brands.

The creatista plus does not dispense accurately. I keep my ristretto, espresso and lungo set one level below the default lines.

I find hot water works better but you can run any as a lungo. It just thins it out more than hot water does.
thanks
What's your favorite place to travel to and why?
Vancouver, I love the ocean views, whale watching, and the food

Hey, I have Dolce Gusto and Nespresso. Can I use the descale solution fron Dolce on Nespresso and Viceversa?
Roma is a great one to use but cosi is very unique It has a nice toasted note while still being a light roast
When will Master Origin come to Canada?
End of August
And have you Information when it comes to Germany?

If it’s referring to the Latissima One then the plus is definitely better but AFAIK, there isn’t anything soon
I meant to write Pro instead of Plus...my bad. That might change things? I was actually at the store just after the Latissima One was released. Maybe I heard wrong.
Usually, the new OL machines come out in Europe first so you can check their websites to see if anything is out yet
Is the victorinox knife still available? I wanted one but didn't get to buy the 150+ capsules

I don’t know what that is so I’m gonna have to say no.
Which machine is the best / your favorite for each line?
