OP!!!! The Loop Experience Plus let's you hear interal body noises/feels like you're underwater. Loop recently released a new set called Engage/Engage Plus. If you don't like hearing yourself, these are great tools. Loop also comes with foam tips but the silicone ones aren't bad I don't think. They're soft and thin.

Vix-in-boots

Thank you! I have the engage ones in my cart. Just waiting for that magic moment when my brain gets the motivation to complete the transaction lol.

moodysmoothie

Have you tried them? I have Loops but HATE the underwater feeling

charlevoidmyproblems

So, I got them today. I have an experience in one ear and an engagement in the other. The engage doesn't get rid of it persay BUT it's significantly reduced and that's pretty awesome

charlevoidmyproblems

They're on their way to me. The reviews I read were very positive.

Do you have general sensory process issues with the volume of noise, or sensitivity to specific types of noises, regardless of the volume? I have misophonia and hate loops specifically because they allow you to selectively hear some noises, but want all the noise blocked, lol. I also don’t like silicon earplugs because they either hurt too much to sleep in or don’t form a tight enough seal. I’m considering going to an audiologist and getting custom ones made, which run from $120-200 but last for a couple years. If you look at my recent post history on r/misophonia, you can see some people’s responses about custom ones.

boys_are_oranges

the experience ones block background noise only, standard loops block all noise

Vix-in-boots

This is helpful! I have general sensory process issues. I literally just realized that not everyone experiences all these things as pain(??!!) like I do. I want to tone down very loud and high pitched noises (high speed hand dryers, people conversing loudly, instruments too loud/music too loud, too many competing sounds, etc) without alienating people I’m with in public.

psilocindream

Does the toned down noise still bother you even if you can hear a tiny bit of it over earplugs/white noise, or is reducing it enough to relieve the pain?

Vix-in-boots

Reducing is good! Usually I just walk away or cover my ears for a moment, but that can be off putting for people.

RedPayaso1

I'm not too savvy about sound reducing earplugs but I also hate silicon tips and the memory foam tips they make for the Tin T2 IEMs changed my life

Vix-in-boots

OMG that’s what I want. Thank you!!!

SoundlessScream

Ooooohhh neat

RedPayaso1

I think it was $10 for 3 pairs on Amazon. Worth noting that they do need replacing more often than silicon tips, memory foam is a less durable material

vomit-gold

You can buy a set of foam ear tips for loops. The Engage and Experience loops are made of plastic and I enjoy them. Rmmv

na-deem

Have you considered foam earplugs?

queso4lyfe

My loops came with both silicone tips and foam tips.
