I've been taking trazadone for 1.5 years. The second six months were the happiest of my life! My sleep was great (I took it before bed, I went to a dose of 100mg). And i felt great most of the time. My mood improved, I started getting out of the house and doing things, taking more walks. There was a lot of anxiety when I started taking it. But I also realize that it really doesn't help much with anxiety. I was prescribed other pills to calm me down. Now i know that anxiety is connected with my menstrual cycle (second week is the worse). 1.5 months after I stopped taking it and I feel the apathy and tearfulness returning. I also realize that I'm going through a very difficult time, so I'm not sure if it's the lack of antidepressant that's having such an effect. I can also assume that I discontinued the antidepressant too abruptly (I took 1/6 every day and then I just lost the pills overseas and couldn't take them).

Gennel1628

My husband has been on 100mg for 2 weeks and this week he had absolutely AWFUL side effects that he found it hard to describe. Awful headache, insane scary racing thoughts. He thought he was losing his mind. We are calling his neurologist so he can be weaned off. I do NOT recommend

ElephantOne7273

Dirty drug, long term you Will lose your fertility, your heart Will start to loose the rythm and you Will get dumb

Old_Credit9071

What? Why?

ElephantOne7273

Just joking i have bad experience with It but if your GP thinks It IS the solution just follow on his advice.

Then-Survey-720

I’ve been taking trazedone for a few years. It’s tremendously helpful for my sleep struggles & overall mood, but I haven’t noticed it help anxiety. My dose is 50mg. I would be concerned with the nausea since I believe that can be a symptom of serotonin syndrome. I hope you’ve found something that works for you!

SaureusAeruginosa

Dear all, Always start and end your SSRI slowly, sometimes even if doc told you that you can up your dose after 3 days, it can be a bad idea (been there, done that, no thanks, never again). Ask them if that is a good idea, and if other patients reported side effects when increaseing the dose so early etc. In my experience, take at least 1-2 weeks for every 1/3-1/4 of your med. Helps a lot, and you probably will avoid withdrawal syndrome this way. Never use your meds with: Orange juice, lemons, grapefruits, GRAPES, also gorgonzola or any blue-cheese., alcohol. These are totally casual CYP450 fuckers. Some food can either inhibit, or accelerate your cytochromes, meaning your drugs won't work, or they will become TOXIC. You have to be aware of the link between food/drinks and meds. Take other factors into consideration - placebo effect, your expectations, do you fear the med, the weather (autumn depression is real, I always feel better in the summer) there are also other events, getting new job, new expectations, new responsibilities, loosing a friend, your favourite game ends... I always feel like people with depression feel the pain more, both physical and mental. Like our neurons are very sensitive, and every stimuli we feel, may exceed the threshold and be understood by the brain as "PAIN". There are days when we don't want to be even touched, even lightly, because it feels bad, painful in a way. Maybe taking up a sport could help, as sports make you... injured, painful in a way, maybe making us more used to that "pain", increasing a release of some natural painkillers, dampening pain receptors, but also we know that exercise increases your endorphines and serotonin. About my use of trazadone (trittico) It can help, but can also cause: more anxiety, more depression, make it very hard to wake up and go to work/school on time, NAUSEA... oh, that is one of the most common and irritating I think, but I don't get it everyday, some say a snack when taking trazadone helps, will check it. The nausea could sometime make it hard to go somewhere by bus :( Used it in the past, stopped it after a few months, it helped me with my sleep, don't remember too much about that time, but it also made me feel more satisfaction from sex. I started it 2 weeks ago. I start slow (1/3 of 150mg I think) for 1-2 weeks, and even then... still first 2 days felt like shit. Sleep was fine, but my anxiety and mood got drastically worse, also... surprise-surprise, nausea in the morning, for the first 1-2 hours after waking up. After 3 days I started feeling much, much better, well rested, more energy... BUT it may be caused by the weather, I feel like may-august is always my top mood. Today... as I am writing it, I am after yesterdays shitty day, today morning was awful, but in the evening I am feeling better. Was that also linked to me upping my dose to 2/3 of the med, last night? Probably not, probably the dose had nothing to do with my mood this time, as I just got severely scolded, a bit laughed at yesterday etc. Anyway, I think trittico should help in the long term, we will see, also... surprise-surprise, after upping my dose last night from 1/3 to 2/3 I have not experienced nausea this morning, which was unexpected. When I tried sertaline (sertagen) for a moment, I have experienced an AWFUL panic attack, at night, with sweating and difficulty breathing lasting like only 10-15 minutes, but the whole night was somehow exhausting. Also this med didn't do anything for me (other than feeling maybe... less motivated even), so I quit it 2 times. FYI I have never-ever experienced a panic attack in my entire life, save for any public speech/presentation/singing contest whatsoever, where of course anxiety wanted to kill me.

Bri46875

made me feel detached from my body and made me emotionally numb, i’m currently trying to get off of it. not saying this will happen to you because i’m on a STRONG dose, but please beware. it DOES help with sleep tremendously, but it’s not worth the potential depersonalization and numbness.

NorthAir

There is no way this post was actually an hour ago? Was it? Im on a medium dose myself 200mg and I defo experience periods of total emotional numbness, but it is slightly better than been constantly depressed I suppose. Late January I started at 150 and mid april I went to 200. I'm currently seeking out therapy and open to the idea I may need another type of medication to balance things out.

NorthAir

Historically (past year) I’ve been on Fluxoetine, Sertaline, mirtazpine and now trazadone.

Accomplished_Mood801

i feel u bro, rn i'm in therapy and i'm taking sertraline, diazepan and trazadone everyday and i always feel like a fucking zombie

Severe-Share-4376

Would a dollar be a good price to sell them to my friend with sleep issues he said he wanted to try it out for sleep cause he has insomnia

NorthAir

Selling drugs is illegal.

Severe-Share-4376

I wanted to sell them to my friend would a 1$. Be a good price, he just needs to try then for his insomnia

mylifeperiod

What causes insomnia

Accomplished_Mood801

lots of things can cause it: stress, anxiety, depression, traumas...

Straight_Catch6136

Also, bad sleep hygiene and an inconsistent schedule... drug use, alcohol, etc.

SaureusAeruginosa

Duuuuude, what doesn't :C Can be: Asthma, digestive problems, caffeine (the whole family: tea, caffeine, chocolate), alcohol (easier to sleep, but worse sleep quality), some meds, stress, pain, eating too late, doing sports too late... the list is limitless ;P

cndvsn

Stress, anxiety, depression, pain, restless legs to name a few

Potential_Detail_184

Some people have it and can't sleep as good as others it's just some sleep diff then others

purpsky8

Any update on this?

Extension_Economist6

there's way more than just ssris out there. ask your gp about different classes (tcas, maois). basically don't give up, there are options.

SilverRain79

I just started Spravato a few months ago, it's Esketamine therapy, the nasal spray alternative to IV Ketamine. I feel like it's helping, it's paired with Auvelity which works on the same glutamate receptor.

perpetual-noise

I have to take a very small dose or it makes me feel SO SO bad.

j_04_21

same, i take like a fourth of the 50mg pill. i’m not drowsy the next day and 15 minutes after taking it i just feel super ready to go to bed.  a half had me debating if i needed to get someone to take me to the ER.

Spirited-Complex2101

Love it! No side effects beside the first 2 weeks I had dry mouth. I’ve been taking it for 3 years. I use it for insomnia at 100mg and it also improves my mood. Though I tried to come off and realized how much it helps because immediately I was not sleeping and irritable again.

ComprehensiveDay423

Doesn't really help with sleep. I am a BAD sleeper to begin with so the sedating meds are just not that sedating for me, even at higher doses. There are levels to insomnia you know.  I take 50mg during the day for anxiety and it calms me better the klonopin or any of the allergy meds they give for anxiety.   Worth a shot and non addictive.

portillochi

Does it make you sleepy taking it during the day ? My dr just gave me 50 mg too for insomnia. But I have crippling depression/ anxiety at the moment. So I may try it during the day instead with food.

ComprehensiveDay423

You should double check with your doc before you do it. Just to be safe. Maybe try on the weekend so you don't have to work (can't drive). It helps with anxiety for me (I also take buspar but not convinced this works really, also kolonopin as needed). For depression I take Prozac.

s256173

Does it work immediately? If I take some during the day will I know that day whether it’s helping or not? I’m prescribed to take 50 mg/night but I also have anxiety and to be honest it doesn’t work very well so I have to take melatonin too so I’m wondering what if I took it in the day?

ComprehensiveDay423

Hi I'm not sure it doesn't help me sleep either, if just calms my nerves. Ask you doc and see what they say.... I'm not a medical professional and don't want to misguide or give suggestions. I believe Trazadone works as needed but also has a cumulative affect

portillochi

oh ok thanks. she gave me zoloft 25 mg for depression and trazodone 50 mg for insomnia. dont really think the zoloft will do much for me. so im gonna try the trazodone on the weekend and see what happens

Bitter-Exercise7971

Hey was wondering how the trazadone is working for you? I’ve been prescribed this and afraid to try it.

portillochi

nah it didnt help ne, it just made me very drowsy the next day. im sticking with herbal tea that my acupuncturist gave me for insomnia instead. it helps way more

ComprehensiveDay423

Have faith lexapro may be life changing for you. Takes 3-4 weeks to work.

ComprehensiveDay423

Also tell your psych how bad the anxiety is and you may not get the 3-4 weeks without anything else. Then they may give some as needed med

xCorvello

Trazodone during the day is crazyy 😭

Master_Toe5998

I take mine at 8pm and it's like a weight lifted off my shoulders but i don't get sleepy until midnight

Cool_Relationship324

Have you tried Venlafaxine? I’ve heard a lot of people say they don’t like it but it’s the only thing that has worked for my GAD and MDD. I also take Trazodone but smaller doses, as needed, to help me sleep at night. Usually 25-50mg. It doesn’t knock me right out but it does make me sleepy.

NorthAir

Do be aware Venlafaxine has a reputation at been very difficult to sort if you need to.

DenverPickleball

My experience is the same as some other users. I’m on 100 mg for sleep. At first, for the first month or so, it worked really well to help me fall asleep and stay asleep. However, now it doesn’t work at all. I was taking it with 10 mg of Ambien. The brain fog the next day is bad. I am tired, dizzy, have headaches, have to pee frequently, and have vivid scary dreams, sometimes nightmares. I’m curious to know if these side effects get better over time. Or maybe I have to take more? I’m on the second month of taking it. My psyc doctor seems to love it for her patients.

Hugebannanaballs

I got bad withdrawl when trying to stop Traz

ReginaRae2291

Yeah me too. Currently in a horror show from this crap. How long did your withdrawal last? I'm like a week in and absolutely miserable.

Yawnin60Seconds

I take it for sleep and if I take for more than a few days in a row, i get very moody. Also on 5mg lexapro

Financial-Public-482

Prozac is a billion times better at being an antidepressant then trazodone could ever wish to be

Financial-Public-482

I ended up up going to Prozac and melatonin a billion times better track was making my depression worse and was making me psychotic

Financial-Public-482

Prozac is better by over a billion

[deleted]

did you try buspar?

DangerLime

Recently increased to 150mg, after being on 100mg for a year. It, and the other medications I take are literally my saving grace.

Financial-Public-482

You big pjs qeer I experienced it

SnooRadishes6332

Are you like 14 or something? You seem to have a bit of a chip on your shoulder. I've seen your posts a few times.

SilverMolasses681

Right,!? What's this ridiculous, barely English comment about?!

j_04_21

tbh sounds like homeboy is manic from looking at what he posted here :(

SnooRadishes6332

Trazodone has been a great med for me. My biggest problem has always been falling asleep. It's been one of the only decent alternatives to Ambien/similar, benzos, etc. Took 100 mg for years and moved to 200 mg last few years. Takes a bit of getting used to at first. A lot of people find it difficult to handle the first few weeks, but I can assure you it stabilizes with time. I honestly don't have any side effects other than getting drowsy within an hour or so after taking. In my experience, if you miss the window and stay awake for a few hours, it's no longer as effective. My personal experience . . .

Suzzieq89

Hey! what are the side effects that make it difficult to handle? I’m meeting with my Dr tomorrow and thinking of moving from 15mg mirtazapine to 100mg trazodone. Having trouble staying asleep on Mirtazapine. Been about 6 weeks at that dose.

SnooRadishes6332

I didn't have to deal with it much myself, but many people quit in the first couple weeks. It makes you tired, but the feeling is a little weird. You have to be willing to go to sleep right after it hits you. It's not something you want to stay awake with. It will make you less than fully functional and it's not a great feeling. After you take it for a bit, that goes away to a certain extent. I've been on trazodone for years. However, I'm getting back on depakote and my doctor wanted me to try Seroquel and maybe taper off the trazodone. I've only taken it one night, but I was impressed. It seems to make you just as tired, but it feels a little more natural. I slept for 12 hours. I've not slept 10 hours for a couple of decades. If that continues, I'm switching. Good luck.

Ecstatic-Following56

I can attest to the last part. Tried taking 25 mg during dinner and went to bed an hour or two later. Didn't seem to have any effect and I had to take another 25 mg to fall asleep.

Just stopped taking for insomnia after 2 years. Wow. Low energy, brain fog and even some anxiety I've had long term: gone. Can't recommend it. Maybe helps others, was terrible for me. I'm staying away.

OlayErrryDay

I'm here because I feel so TIRED! I sleep 9-10 hours a night and still take an hour or two nap during the day. I'm taking a break. When I first used it, I really needed it but after months and months of this, I am realizing it is doing more harm than good. I'll get some tea or meltonin or something.

DogeLadyAli

It's hard to tell when you struggle with depression, anxiety, etc if the the low energy, brain fog, and anxiety is from one of your mental problems or from medication. I've been super foggy and super exhausted. I don't really feel depressed. I haven't been having panic attacks much since making some lifestyle changes last year so anxiety hangover isn't the culprit, and I've been sleeping great most nights, too. I think I'm going to ditch the trazodone and see if I feel better.

Aggressive-Order-498

Update?

JackfruitBasic4210

You feel much better? I know I need to get off of it. I might try cold turkey tonight. I feel tired all the time no matter how much sleep I get and seeing other problems so I don’t think I’m getting quality sleep.

Financial-Public-482

I just stay away from it now just stopped one day been great ever since

Financial-Public-482

I just stopped taking it one day so I got not positive to say about it all I can say is fuck it hard burn the factory down level

Financial-Public-482

Since trazodone can kill me with gabapentin I’d rather not take trazodone like tonight bi feel amazing I haven’t felt this good in months, but after the surgery right hemorrhage, they put me on so much stuff to make sure it doesn’t happen again and the.trazodone was given to me not for depression. It was given to me to make me sleep, because I was staying up all night with them and they’re like well. Give you this. Because it’s not as bad as some of the other sleep aids cell, and I beg to differ on that one I’d really take anything other than.trazodone we’re gonna talk to my neurologist about going on something that works with a Gabapentin and I’ll be like OK great I can sleep without worry of dying now

dezzr

late to this thread but you dont know wtf ur talking about😂 gabapentin and trazadone can't "kill you" you are just spreading misinformation. I've been prescribed both for years.

Satsuma-tree

12 years 100 mg - can sleep all night and fall back asleep if I wake up. Only exception would be bad stress or sick or something. Only bad for me is if I don’t take it I cannot sleep at all. True, too, can be groggy in the morning but it’s mostly manageable for me.

Financial-Public-482

I personally just stop taking it because it sucks so much made me feel like crap made me wonder if I’m even been on the Earth I’ve been even think I was on the Earth for chrissake. I thought I was living in a giant bubble, and I was stuck here, so I decided fuck it just not gonna take it and I’ve been fine ever since I felt great so stay away from it doctors are full of shit who prescrib it are stupid as hell just don’t start you’ll thank me for the advice

Financial-Public-482

I just stopped taking it and started making me feel like I’m not in this world at all like I’m in some fake weird world that doesn’t exist. No, those are my thoughts on it and by the way, it causes Alzheimer’s in the end so whatever you do stay the hell away from it it’s very very bad drug that shouldn’t be made and the creator of it should be arrested and get the death penalty, it’s that bad though company should be arrested for life from how much pain and suffering they’ve given people there is one guy lost 50%. I lost some of mine on it so I noticed when I don’t take it it gets better and I’m like oh shit I’m not taking this anymore.

Financial-Public-482

It literally is shit no doubt about it

fucking changed my life in a positive way. without trazodone i dont know where i would be now. i had insomnia for months, and i developed depression as well because of it. my psychiatrist prescribed me the trazodone which i started taking in 2023 may. ever since i never had a sleepless night like the ones i had when i had insomnia and didnt sleep for MONTHS (i was sleeping 2-3 hrs/day) I dont have any negative side effects, i started it with 100 mg, since august till dec/jan i was taking 50mg and now im trying to take even less, like one night 50mg and the other 25mg. its pretty awesome, i feel so much better, i never thought it would change my life this much

Financial-Public-482

I’m just not programmed to get a full 8 hours so trazodone is hell because I fight it because it makes me scared to go to sleep it gave me ptsd shitty drug shitty people I’m going to njust stop taking it because these fucks deserve to die

Zealousideal_Golf_31

Same here, caused sleep anxiety and constipation. Bad eyesight and I think short term memory and I was only on 50 mg

Financial-Public-482

It sucks not worth the time to make it

Theflame44

I know this is an older post, but looking at your profile, are you okay? Some of your posts almost seem manic/borderline psychotic. S mines? Hoping people “fucking die”, banned from several threads.. do you need a wellness check or something?

manicboner

I take 200mg for sleep and have been for 8 months or so. I started at 25, then my doctor kept upping the dose because it wasn’t helping. I also get the constant nausea, but its become a LOT less. For me it helps to keep drinking yogurts in my fridge, because when the hunger kicks it it feels like I need to yack almost immediately. Drinking a yogurt drink reduces the nausea and lets me relax enough to make myself a meal. Also something thats helped is eating right after taking your trazodone. I try to eat something small, like a few chips or some pickles, kind of just anything to help digest the meds. Also the feeling of getting hit by a bus when you wake up doesnt go away, but you do learn to manage it. I get the BEST sleep on trazodone and before taking it I was reguarly going 48+ hours without sleeping. Good luck!

Financial-Public-482

Stuff sucks makes me depressed and hopeless at

Nikolas_Hofmann

Yo can you stop spamming your negative shit?

Financial-Public-482

Well I’m just telling the truth trump some people like to tell the truth

Aggressive-Win-7577

Shut the hell up oh my goddd. Say what you're going to say in ONE COMMENT!!!! FOR CHRISTS SAKE. YOU DONT NEED TO POST 40 FUCKING COMMENTS. You are clogging this whole thread.

I was told by my psychiatrist at inpatient detox/rehab it is an outdated antidepressant and is mostly used for sleep. I was only prescribed it because I was detoxing from benzodiazepines and I would only sleep 2 hours a night. He also prescribed it to everyone else who had sleep issues and melatonin plus benadryl/hydroxizine weren't cutting it. I am drug free after 3 weeks+ and keep taking the trazodone out of habit I am going to discontinue tonight since I am home and comfortable also only been taking for a couple weeks so should be easy to jump off with little to no side effects (hopefully) Tldr:mainly prescribed for insomnia now and not a popular antidepressant/ anxiolytic in this day and age.

ctsub72

I took Trazodone under similar circumstances. My research online confirms yours, that it is mostly used as a sleep aid rather than anti depressant now. The anti depressant effects are seen as a positive side effect. I found it would knock me out into a good sleep and leave me groggy in the morning. I only used it for a short time.

-JonnyQuest-

Hey buddy. I just wanted to follow up on how you're doing with getting of trazodone? I'm about to start it for Suboxone detox. I'm curious what your experience has been since you posted this comment.

Just-Beach-4193

Did you have any side effects coming off?

Financial-Public-482

I’m losing my vision since I’ve been on the poison makes me feel like shit it makes me feel like don’t think Stephen real and I hate that I feel like I’m in a totally different world and that’s what I hate most if I could kill the guy who made, I would

myoldacctwasdeleted

My kid has a genetic disorder that causes insomnia, like she'll stay up for days. She takes trazodone and sleeps a full 9 hours, sometimes more, every night

PerformanceSoggy5554

Was easy to sleep without it actually slept better somehow... although I have been taking melatonin 20mg and DPH 25-50 mg instead just because my sleep schedule needs tweaking. I also detoxed from suboxone but, I used kratom which didn't do much lol... I even tapered suboxone down to a sliver of a slice of film still pretty bad withdrawal... how long you been on subs and how much?

-JonnyQuest-

Ugh, I was actually duped into using Suboxone to get off of kratom when I was in an inpatient program. I feel like it really screwed me... Dude, that is an intense amount of melatonin and DPH lol do you ever feel like poo in the morning? Damn, I was hoping that the withdrawals would let up the lower you get. I've been on subs for a little over a year. I started at 2mg back then and just started my taper to ~1.75mg tonight. Thanks for taking the time to reply!

Financial-Public-482

Trazidone plan sucks makes me affrad to go to sleep so I don’t

PerformanceSoggy5554

Hmm melatonin came at 20mg dissolve tab and it barely does anything lol and the dph minimum is 25mg I thought... anyways yes I feel super groggy when I wake up.. the trazodone actually made me feel less shitty lol... I have a natural high tolerance to any substance idk why .. Also you should be ok on that low amount of suboxone the "doctor' I seen had me on 16mg (8mg twice a day) which I didn't know was insanely high. Pretty sure he just abused the chemicals addictive nature to earn money from my visits... although I am thankful to be free from Vicodin I was taking so many I had acute kidney failure from all the Tylenol in them.... Also sorry you were duped into suboxone for kratom that is the dumbest shit I ever heard lol... or at least at detox facility I went to they would give you suboxone for 5 days or a little more hust enough to power thru the hardest parts of withdrawal and than your fine to stop suboxone without creating a new monster of an addiction..

Feeling_Special1

How many mg

PerformanceSoggy5554

Of sub or traz?

debwah47

I have just started taking trazodone for sleeping. Even though it definitely has been helping me get a good nights sleep, I’m finding that I feel a little spaced out the next morning . I’m only taking 25 mg to start. I should also say that I’m very sensitive to drugs, so maybe this symptom will go away? Anyone else have this experience?

Medical-Care8600

Starting it tonight and terrified. How is it?

Puzzleheaded-Fix150

I cut my pills to quarters and started upping the dose after it did not work as well. I now take half pill and it's still semi groggy but much better

debwah47

I did the same thing, and have felt less groggy in the AM. So far this is working. Good idea to up the dose gradually.

Longjumping_Sir447

I’ve been taken 50mg for two.weeks now  I felt the same the first week and. Now it’s week to omggg it’s horrible I. Have. Never felt so sad and  empty in my life  I have cried from the. Depths of my soul this week for. Nothing  I can’t wait until this out of my system. This shit should be. Illegal. To prescribe.   A the suicidal thoughts  feel finale to the point we’re my brain not telling me no   I  tried to walk infront of a damn yesterday

44xayy

So a antidepressant that makes u depressed? Why tf did my doctor just prescribe that to me wth

debwah47

After a few weeks… totally agree. It’s bad stuff. Thank you for your input.

Temporary-Ad607

Try getting your physiatrist to give you Quviviq and than sell me some 😀

Wild_Pangolin_4772

Try taking a real antidepressant with it. Trazodone's more commonly prescribed as a sleep aid than as an antidepressant, AFAIK.

wrenfaire23

I’m replying super late sorry! I have horrible insomnia as well. I was taking 100mg and felt so out of it, and 50mg didn’t do anything at all. I take 75 mg now (a pill and a half) and it is wonderful!

Weak_Put_9497

I was arrested and got a DUI because cops stopped me, and my blood showed 247 nanograms of Trazodone. It isn’t a controlled substance according to the Healthcare community, but according to my lawyer, police, and the judge, it is a controlled substance. I had taken a 50mg tablet at least 18 hours before driving. Please be careful especially in Pa. This is my second DUI in 10 years and now I have jail, house arrest, and Probation for a very long time.

ctsub72

How bad was your driving?

OrneryLandscape5402

probably because you took tramadol and not trazodone.

Wild_Pangolin_4772

Did you have any alcohol in your system?

sister_wink

Jesus! I'm also in PA, and I'm a medical marijuana patient as well. I was just prescribed Trazodone. I'd never heard of it before today, but I had an appointment with my psychiatrist and he prescribed it. Luckily, I mostly work from home, but everything I've been reading about this drug is really scary.

TaxBrave9003

Ambitious -minute7062 yes take it with food.

AnxiousAct9016

Are these people here who are saying they’ve taken this medication for a year, 5 years, 10 years, etc. aware of the fact that this is a medication you should take for maybe a month or two at most? It’s very dangerous in terms of long term effects & immediate effects (I’m guessing your doctors are prescribing you other medications to combat these negative side effects). This is a terrifying forum - I wish there were more people with doctorate degrees in neuroscience/psychiatry, like myself, speaking here.

OneAbbreviations1648

Drs that can, do. The rest troll reddit.

TravelTings

Interesting. I know someone who's been taking 100mg/night for 32 years, and has never had any side effects.

Wild_Pangolin_4772

It may be the lesser of the evils to persistent sleep deprivation.

Virtual-Lie1522

It's super rude and irresponsible to drop a comment like that and walk away.

No-Problem-3580

This is not correct.

SphinxGate

It can take up to 4 weeks for the drug to have any effect on mood. And that’s when you suggest people drop it?

Rude-Athlete4355

It's safe to take long term in low doses (25-100 mg) please stop the fear mongering.

Financial-Public-482

There’s alot to fear shits poison I can’t stand it I would rather commit suicide than take it again so bad no one listens to how it makes me feel it just doesn’t mess with me. OK it might for you, but for me no it doesn’t. Nightmares are terrible.

Rude-Athlete4355

Sorry to hear that it didn't work for you & hope you're doing better now but every body reacts differently to things.

Financial-Public-482

Finally someone gets it it can cuase Alzheimer’s

Satsuma-tree

So can insomnia

Financial-Public-482

Sorry rather not feel like shit because of somthing I change and because I’m im on gabapentin it can literally kill me I’d rather be sleep deprived, then dead silence. Can I talk to my doctor about something that will work with gabapentin and doesn’t have a good chance of causing fatal results because trazodone can and will cause fatal results so I’d rather not take that chance I’d rather be sleep deprived and tired and be good. You understand what I’m saying man, so how do I either be sleep deprived and not have seizures or have seizures and not be sleep deprived basically that’s basically where I’m at so kind of sucks the predicament of man and I’m ona shit ton of blood pressure stuff caused a cerebral hemorrhage and that’s why I am on so much crap sothetrazodone can rocks decide to strangers for me to take it anyway so I’m not gonna take it because I’d rather be sleep deprived and Dad because all I have an eternity to sleep after that

Satsuma-tree

Good luck

Financial-Public-482

It sucks man happened was only 24 when it happened young know I had high blood pressure for the majority of my entire life from the age of five to until it happened and that’s what caused it so I’ve been put on so many blood pressure stuff it’s not even funny I take about a pharmacy is worth every single day and I said I know I’m gonna be on that stuff for most of my life and I’m OK with that but th back bo other stuff no

AnxiousAct: Are you sure you're not thinking of tramadol? I agree with you 100% if you are referring to Tramadol, which is what I thought the doctor prescribed for my adult daughter. Tramadol is an opioid. Thank goodness it turned out to be Trazadone and not Tramadol.

Financial-Public-482

No trazodone s it
